Chapter 3 - Well, I like red

Naomi, filled with glee that her race car would be fixed for the national race, went back to the beach. She hit the waves with so much enthusiasm that all eyes fell on her

Once she was out of the water, she got approached by Eden, a lifeguard who was always impressed with Naomi's skills.

He approached her with a towel.

"You look more excited than you've ever been of late." He said, handing her the towel. "Anything good happen?"

"You're right Eden. Something really good happened and that's why I'm very very happy." She smiled, accepting the towel.

She leaned her wet body and hair and sighed, feeling refreshed.

"I won't be coming to the beach for a while so don't miss me too much." She winked and passed the towel back to him. She took off the rubber ring holding up her ponytail hair and let it fall over her shoulders.

"Your hair's looking good." Eden said, not minding to ask why she wouldn't be coming by to the beach. It was a regular occurrence though.

She'd suddenly disappear and reappear like nothing happened.

"Thanks."

Naomi usually never went out at night. Her curfew was six and even with that, she'd have to wait for Adrian, her driver, to pick her up.

There were reasons why she shouldn't stay out at night but she couldn't remember. The moment she was allowed to stay past six pm, it was mandatory that she waited for Adrian no matter how long it took. It was just too dangerous to have her going around alone at night.

Naomi lived alone and to her, she didn't have a real home and that saddened her at times.

Well, at least she had her sports to keep her company. And of course, the little missions she went on from time to time and thanks to this, the feeling of having no one to go home to was distant.

Her aunts each lived with their husbands, the superiors and would invite her from time to time to eat dinner with them.

The day to start the mission's operation came and Naomi read about the school.

Dynamic Boys Technology High School, DBOTH. It was an all boys boarding school. It was very well known because of its amazing teaching standards and etiquette that was beyond one's imagination.

Who would've thought that there'd be a school that taught boys how to behave more decently than girls? It was truly comical.

"Hey, have you heard?" Matthew asked, placing his hand around Pete's shoulder. They were both seniors and soon to be Naomi's classmates.

"Heard what?" Pete asked, calmly removing Matthew's hand from around him.

"There's going to be a new transfer student arriving today." He said but Pete didn't look the least surprised.

"We always have transfer students every now and then. What's so different about this one?" He questioned, completely oblivious and Matthew grinned.

"It's different because the new transfer student is actually a... "

"She's here." Someone announced and the group of boys gathered at the window to watch the new transfer student.

"She?" Pete asked, looking at Matthew confused.

He got up from his chair and joined the group of boys to watch what was going on downstairs.

He looked down and his eyes immediately fell on Naomi. She was smiling and talking so lively that Pete felt like it was his first time seeing a girl like that.

Her actions didn't look fake and looking at her didn't disgust him in any way. She had such a positive energy and his heart started racing.

"Who... Who is she?" He asked, unaware that he had shown quite the interest in her and Matthew nodded.

"Her name is Naomi. That's all I know and she is the new transfer student." He answered and Pete snapped out his admiration and stepped back a bit alarmed. "What's wrong?"

"This is an all boys school. Why would a girl transfer here? And why would the school board agree to that?" He asked and this got Matthew thinking as well.

"You're right. Something is definitely not right." He thought for a while then snapped his fingers. "Come on, let's go down to find out more." Pete and Matthew left the classroom and headed down.

Naomi was talking to the only female teacher downstairs and from the looks of it, they were having a really fun discussion.

Pete and Matthew got down but did not show themselves. They peeked from the corner, just enough range to hear what they were talking about.

"Naomi, what's your favourite colour?" Mrs Florence, the female teacher, asked.

"Well, I like red." Naomi answered. "What did you expect, pink?"

Mrs Florence laughed.

"They say, one's favourite colour reflects a person's inner self." She said, "I honestly thought it's be pink because of how pretty you are."

"Well, I guess I beat your expectations." Naomi chuckled.

"Then another question, why did you choose an all boys school? Aren't you scared?" Mrs Florence inquired.

"Well, if it were some other boys school, I'd be scared but this one is different." She said and leaned closer. "They say the guys over here know more about decency than any other guy you'll meet outside." She said and Mrs Naomi exclaimed.

"Oh."

"Plus, I'm curious about boys and their lifestyle. I have no brother or male cousin and I heard that though this is an all boys school, it doesn't reject girls from transferring either so I decided to try it out. Don't worry, if I get scared, I'll drop out immediately."

"May I ask, why do you want to know about boys?"

"It's because I'm a sport's person and not a lot of girls like sports. But boys on the other hand..." Her eyes glimmered. "They know the stuff all too well." She smiled heartily.

"You're such an adorable girl."
