"Please, will you act as my boyfriend?" Naomi asked and he exclaimed, shocked.
"What?!"
"Why the reaction? You'll only be acting as my fake boyfriend. At least that'll be enough to scare off the boys who'll try to approach me, right?" That was true and besides, he was the one who brought up the issue so...
"But..."
"Please." Naomi attacked him with her puppy eyes and he had to give in. He was completely helpless in front of them.
'Are girls always this bold and cute at the same time?' He thought and gulped. "I'll do it but I need to know... for how long am I going to be your fake boyfriend?" He asked and Naomi snapped out of her cute side, shrugging her shoulders.
"Who knows?" She suddenly smiled sheepishly and drew his head closer to hers. "Travis, we just met and yet you agreed to do this for me. I can tell you're going to be a very reliable 'boyfriend'." She chuckled. "But with how easy going you are, you better watch out." She let go of his head and moved away.
"How come?"
"Who knows? I might take advantage of you and harm you." She said and he scoffed.
"Please, how much harm can you do to me?" He asked, taking it lightly. "But rather, I think I'm going to enjoy being used by someone like you." She smiled at his response and pulled his head closer by grabbing his vest.
"I like your answer." She said, "I think we'll make a great team, don't you think?"
"Well, I think... " His words were suddenly interrupted when she kissed his cheek.
"A reward." She let go of his vest and turned to leave. "Well, I'll see you in the cafeteria." She blew him a kiss and left.
Travis stood there for a while, unable to comprehend what had just happened. He touched his cheek. Truly, there was no way he wouldn't enjoy being used by her.
"I think I just got... Charmed." He said and a smile played on his lips. "Today must be my lucky day after all."
The next morning, Naomi got her uniform delivered to her by one of the students. She thanked him and quickly took a bath before wearing them.
The school uniform had a white top and blue chequered bottom. Since she was female, she couldn't wear a long neck tie like the guys so she had a cute bow tie instead.
Her skirt was, no doubt, a short belly skirt that was way above her knee, exposing her thigh. She didn't complain about that and she dutifully adjusted her bow tie which was the same material with her skirt.
"Ah, this is nice." She said, complimenting her cute and harmless appearance. She picked up the blazer but decided to wear it on her way out.
She proceeded to comb her hair and started reciting a few personal lines like a nursery rhyme to her satisfaction.
"I'm eighteen and I have no wrinkles. I'm eighteen but oh my, I look like sixteen. I'm eighteen yet I'm still cute and pretty." She laughed at that composition and dropped her brush. "This should be nice."
She had her hair done into two pigtails.
She was all set and carried her bag while humming to herself how pretty she was.
"Let me open the window for a minute." She opened the window and basked in the morning sun's rays. "The morning seems to be great already. I have a good feeling." She turned, in an attempt to drop her bag for a moment but she surprisingly lost her footing.
She fell backwards, directly out the window and said to herself,
"Not again. Why am I so unlucky with windows?"
She readied herself for the impact on the floor. This, apparently, wasn't her first time falling down through the window.
The distance from her window to the ground wasn't that long so even if she knew it'd hurt, after a while, the pain would go away. It wouldn't kill her.
In the worst case scenario... A few bones would get fractured. She hoped that it wouldn't come to that though.
Pete and Matthew just came out from the building when they heard a falling sound coming from above. They looked up, only to see someone falling and it was directly above Pete.
Pete subconsciously stretched out his hands and caught the falling person, only to realise... It was the girl.
"God, I gotta start staying away from windows in the morning." Naomi exclaimed but then realised she was perfectly okay.
She wasn't in any pain and she... She looked up... She was in someone's arms. The face of her saviour captured her the moment she saw it.
'He's really handsome.' She thought.
"Wow Pete, it's raining girls and you just happened to catch the cutest one." Matthew teased and Pete frowned at him.
"Shut up." He looked down at Naomi, who suddenly realised she was still in his arms.
"Um, thank you for saving me. I'd have been a goner for sure." She smiled. "I guess I owe you one now, but could you..." Her gaze told him that it was a bit awkward, their position.
"Oh, sorry." He immediately released his hands, unintentionally but she didn't fall on her butt as it might've seemed, rather, she landed on her feet and was in a squat position.
"Phew." She let out a sigh of relief.
"So sorry, I didn't mean it." He said but she shook her head.
"No worries. I'd have been a goner if you weren't here in the first place so thank you."
Pete looked at his hands. This was the first time he was holding a girl and compared to guys, he didn't feel the weight at all. Stuck in his new discovery, he subconsciously said,
"You're so light."
