Chapter 56 - Chapter 56 Plans for the Future.

It was the 10th of July 1891 in the port of London, where crowds of people had gathered to watch the German Kaiser, his son, brother and his brothers wife along with her baby boy in her hands departing for Germany. Queen Victoria was there also along with her entourage to wish the Kaiser a safe journey home.

But during the whole ordeal many could not help but take note of a young cute little maid standing there amongst them all as if she were royalty herself. In fact the girl was standing offly close to the German crown Prince which many found quite suspicious.

But then as the Royals had finally said their final goodbyes the moment didn't end there strange enough, the Germans didn't leave and instead all eyes turned to the cute little maid. And then the Queen herself went down to one knee to give the little girl a hug as she said something to her. In return the girl happily hugged the Queen back as if they were family and the Queen kissed the little thing on her cheek making her giggle in joy. Then the girl kissed the Queen back on the Queens cheek and then the Queen laughed brightly herself.

After that the two exchanged some words and were all full of smiles just then. To the onlookers it was like a grandmother bidding farewell to her granddaughter which caused great confusion amongst the gathered crowds of people. For they didn't know of this granddaughter of the queen's, and why was this girl dressed in such a peculiar maids uniform?

Seeing it the crowd quickly erupted in wild conversation and questions were asked on the matter. While the journalist on the other hand made sure to take their pictures, some who had no cameras made little sketches of the girl and scene before them, while some simply wrote all that they saw down with great haste and interest.

Queen Victoria seeing the enthusiasm amongst the crowd quickly sent the little girl off and then stood up to say. "Oh come now people, you should all know her by now? After all just a week ago you all wrote of her so frantically. Oh I believe one of you even called her the lovely little flying angel girl of London. Although I myself merely like to refer to her as my lovely little friend with a lovely little name called Lili."

Saying this the Queen managed to make the crowd gasp in awe. Many had heard of the story either from the newspapers or people who had supposedly been present during that time when a cute little girl had flown from the London clocktower, but none had managed to take a clear picture to prove it to be a fact, and most simply found the whole thing too absurd to even believe.

But to hear the Queen say it, then it must have meant that it was true, even though many could still not quite believe it. For before them was the world's first girl that had ever flown in the entire history of the world. Before her there had although been a boy named George Cayley, a boy who used a big glider to glide a short distance, but other than that only balloons and parachutes are known of as a means of flying. So the significance of a man made wing suit being made and flown by none other than a little girl was huge.

So it was no wonder that the crowd went wild with excitement, everyone wanted to know how the girl had done it and just who exactly was she? But before the press even had a proper chance to ask any further questions the girl was already on her way up the ships ramp.

Although the girl did take one last long look at the Queen and the city before disappearing out of sight. But before she disappeared out of sight the press made sure to take even more pictures and make sketches of this stunningly cute little girl. A girl that would later be known to all in London simply as Lili the little Angel of London, for to many she indeed did look like a little angel. It would of course also be marked within the history books that it was London where the world's first girl flew with a wing suit.

But more than anything the many within the crowd that were supporters of the Monarchy couldn't help but notice just how good and energetic the Queen looked during the short occasion. The Queen had gone to one knee without any problems and gotten up without any problems as well, which was quite unexpected to many. The Queen also seemed a bit thinner now, her complexion was healthier and it seemed like she had even become slightly younger. The Queen must have been blessed by god to rule over Britain for another 54 years at least, or that's what it seemed like to some astonished onlookers.

And as for Lili she merely felt excited at the thought of going to Germany on a fancy steam ship straight out of the history books. To actually be on such an old historical ship, was just so awe inspiring for she had never been on one. And the ship not only looked absolutely marvellous just like in the old pictures she had seen of them, but even the crews outfits were quite something as well, and oh did the ship produce a huge amount of smoke out of those three large chimneys.

To her it was like she was once more in some historical reenactment and a really expensive reenactment at that. It was just like in her past life, except instead of it being a cool medieval world it was now the 19th century here and it was also really really cool.

Seeing it all she couldn't help but run all around the ship exploring every nook and cranny of it, until she then came to a stop at the back deck, from where she then saw the stunning view of old London there.

Little by little the city was fading into the distance and for but a moment she did feel a bit sad seeing it go. After all life there wasn't all that bad and the Queen especially was really nice to her. She could have just stayed in Britain and tried to build some nice little life for herself there, or she could have even tried to help out the Queen and through her changed the world. There were so many possibilities there and things she would have wished to see and experience.

But in the end she didn't stay in London and that was all pretty much thanks to one single boy and his kindness towards her. Even now as she looked into the distance he came to hug her warmly from behind and in return she happily leaned against his firm figure and found comfort in his closeness.

For whatever reason Willy was such a good and kind friend towards her. Never in any of her lives had she had such a close relationship with someone, and she absolutely loved it. He made her feel so warm, so cared for and so safe. Life with Willy there on her side was true bliss and she finally felt like she not only had a great purpose to fulfill, but a safe place there on his side.

And although she was technically the older one here, he was still the taller and stronger one and so she let him hold her. His touch just made her feel so good and she loved how he took such good care of her, always watching her even from a distance and even making sure to test the hotness of her tea sometimes before she drank it. However she didn't much appreciate him drinking as much of her tea as he did, although she knew that he was only trying to tease her a little.

Also Willy was a boy and she was a girl. So to make sure the boy grew well she let him take the lead in this friendship of theirs. She let him hug her and hold her like so as practice on how he should be gentle with other girls in the future as well, unlike she had been in her past life. Besides she did funnily enough find joy in herself being the smaller and weaker one here who was being cared for so gently.

Truly Willy was such a good boy and a friend to her. During the whole week the two of them had been almost completely inseparable from one another. They bathed together, red books together, exercised together, played games together, slept together and even sometimes fed one another at the table. Honestly the past week had been the most enjoyable week of her two lives before this one and any other week within this life and it seemed that the joy would only continue from here.

Willy hadn't said it yet, but now Lili felt like they had to be at least a little more than simple friends, right? Or they probably were more than just friends from the very first moment that they had met one another, after all to her that moment had been like true friendship at first sight. Of course as the smaller, younger and more feminine member of this relationship she wouldn't say it first, but she was quite sure that now they were pretty much considered best friends at this point, right?

Also now that she looked at the boy she could hardly believe it, but the boy was absolutely stacked. He might have been quite young, but then again he was a prince so it did make sense. But apparently he indeed did have over 5 million German Marks in the bank. And seeing as in Germany a normal low wage workers yearly salary at a mine for example was just about 600 to 800 Marks, then this 5 million Marks was like a lot of money.

It was Especially a lot of money considering that Willy was only 9 years old and yet he was freaking rich. Truly his father is quite a doting parent towards him. Or maybe his father is just a fool for giving a young boy so much money?

Well whatever the case was, she now had her full backing on Willys side and in turn Germany's side, all thanks to Willy her best friend. So in hopes of writing the wrongs of her previous life she had come up with a plan that would surely make it so that Willy's Germany would not get crushed and instead stand the test of time for humanity's sake.

Firstly after slightly upsetting the Queen with her ideas on the proper way to handle natives within the colonies, she had then set forth to build up her relationships with all the royals. She even made sure to cozy up to the Indian fellow who was the Queens Indian teacher and friend.

And by using her cuteness, knowledge of many things and her openness to discuss pretty much everything she had quickly managed to make a connection to all of them. After all who could resist such a cute little girls young charm.

Also the Royals really seemed to appreciate the fact that she never acted submissively before them like some lowly servant, she always spoke her mind and treated them as humans. For Royals a lot of the time found it extremely hard to like people as most put on some sort of an act before them or simply treated them as some godly beings, which made it impossible for them to have any proper conversations with them. So Lili made sure to treat them with respect, but not too much respect and act as she would act amongst equals.

Also during these interactions she had tried to keep up a young innocent little girl act, but obviously it had quickly come apparent that she was not a typical girl. Her wide range of knowledge, manners and capabilities of understanding many things did give her quite quickly away. Especially when she accidentally started talking about all that she knew of the United States without realising that she only knew them in her first life, and so she shouldn't have said so as she obviously shouldn't know of them here in this life.

Well in the end she did manage to build up a good respectful relationship with all the royals. Even Queen Victoria who disagreed with many of her views did quite like her as well. So with some connections established and Willy supposedly being a rich little boy she now had everything to set off her plans.

These being plans that not only were great for Germany, but Willy as well as they would help Willy understand the world of business much better. Plus she really hoped that she could make Willy see the importance of money and not use it stupidly on pointless luxury items, like some typical rich little brat.

So with this in mind she kindly suggested to Willy that they head inside for the rest of the journey. And so together hand in hand Lili led Willy inside where they then spotted the Royals sitting on a V-shaped corner couch with a small table there that held a chess board on it.

Seeing the scene before her Lili quickly noticed that Kaiser Wilhelm and Prince Heinrich were once more playing chess as they laughed and drank milk from big mugs like true men. And Next to Heinrich sat Irene who held a little baby boy in her hands who was with great interest watching the adults play chess.

Seeing the little baby boy of no more than two years of age Lili couldn't help but feel her fragile little heart melt at the sight of him. After all he was just so cute trying to learn how to play chess by looking at the adults game with those big blue eyes of his. Oh and those chubby cheeks of his were just so cute, oh how she just wanted to pinch them so lovingly just then.

So taken by the sight she was that she totally just then forgot what it was that she was even supposed to be doing. As she then let go of Willys hand and blindly rushed to the baby's side yelling. "Oh my god, Waldemar, hey! How are you doing my cute little baby friend you?"

Hearing her call the little Waldemar immediately turned to her with a stunned expression, which quickly turned to a smile as he reached out his chubby little arms towards her.

Seeing it the boys mother Irene showed a happy smile as she looked at Lili and said. "Oh looks like little Waldemar wants you to hold him Lili, here take him."

Coming to the boys side Lili didn't resist and immediately grabbed the baby boy within her arms. In return the little Waldemar wrapped his arms happily around her and made some happy baby noises as he did.

Hearing his happy noises Lili couldn't help but give the little fellow a loving kiss on his chubby cheek as she sat down with him onto the sofa next to Irene. In return the little fellow then happily started giving his little versions of kisses on her cheek which she quite enjoyed and couldn't help but giggle at in happiness.

She just couldn't help it, the little baby always made her feel such overwhelming joy and happiness which she couldn't quite explain. In her past life she hadn't really cared for children or babies at all, but in this life she found herself getting such joy from the mere sight of them. She also did find herself getting quite sad at the sorry sight of the babies and children on London's East Side. But more than anything she especially liked this little Waldemar who now sat on her lap as she gave him tickles and many hugs.

In response the baby let out such cute little joyful giggles which further made her love him even more. Waldemar was just such a cute little thing that's name interestingly enough in old Slavic meant Renowned Ruler. Truly what a great name it was, it almost on its own already seemed to guarantee success in the future for the little one, or well that's what Lili liked to think at least.

The little Waldemar had also not only been a great source of joy to her, but a great source of learning for her in the ways of baby care, something which she oddly enough found to be quite a joy to learn of. She also learned of the fact that here there were no disposable diapers, baby strollers, baby bottles were made of glass, glass being hard to clean causing it to be unhygienic in long use which was probably a big reason for the high infant mortality here, also there were no baby pacifiers to keep a baby quiet which was not good. And overall there were a lot of things here that were lacking in regards to babies and of course other aspects of life as well, which were things that she intended to do something about at some point in the future.

But then as Willy came to sit right next to her, it suddenly caused the little Waldemar to hug her even tighter to Willy's seeming dismay. For a while now the two boys had seemingly been fighting for Lilis attention which she found to be quite funny. And as she giggled at the sight of the two Willy slipped his left arm over her shoulder and patted little Waldemar on his little head as he said.

"Nice try Waldemar but she's already mine. Maybe within the next life if you manage to be born before me you'll have a chance, but now your too late. I win, hehehe."

Waldemar hearing this only showed a serious pouting face at Willy as Lili merely burst out into laughter and said.

"Oh stop it you two, there's no reason to fight, for I've got enough love to give the both of you boys. Besides your both related by blood so you shouldn't fight amongst one another anyways, instead you both should be friends with one another and with me of course, hihihi."

Hearing her reasonable words neither of the boys sadly did seem to agree. Instead the little Waldemar looked at her seriously with that baby face of his and spoke like a two year old as he said.

"Noo only I, love, Lili. No Wilhelm, no."

Willy on the other hand seemed a bit offended which Lili quickly noticed and said.

"No no you two, no fighting. Come on Willy you can't fight with Waldemar or else I cannot love you and the same goes for you two Waldemar. So come on shake hands, I want to see you make up and become friends ok. No fighting or else I will not be happy."

Hearing the words the two seemed reluctant, but with some more encouragement from her quickly faltered and gently shook hands to Lilis relief. Although this was not the first such dispute that the two had already had.

Luckily though Willy young as he was still held a good amount of self control and intelligence to not start fighting with a little two year old. Of course the fact that she had already secretly after being asked repeatedly by Willy admitted that she in fact liked Willy more probably also helped Willy to stay calm.

Although as she thought of this Willy suddenly brought his face close to her and quietly said. "Lili could I kiss you on your cheek just like he did. In the name of fairness, I mean."

Though he said this the boy just then tried to go for it without waiting for an answer, but Lili using her superior reflexes quickly raised her right hand, right in front of his face and blocked the attempt. Although as he held his eyes closed he did suddenly just then blindly end up kissing her hand, which was ok.

But as close as they were, kissing on the cheek was something that she was not willing to do, well maybe when meeting with a french person she might do it as a greeting, but not here. And she made sure to rebuke Willy for his actions by saying.

"No Willy, your way too old to be giving kisses like that. Waldemar is still young and so he holds the right to do so, but you do not, so don't even try it. Friends we might be, but remember that even friends should have boundaries."

Then sitting there next to her Irene commented by saying. "You know Lili your quite the caring motherly figure and family feud solver. I'm sure you'll make a great mother in the future, hihihi."

Hearing this Lilis face immediately turned beed red out of embarrassment. For her to become a mother in the future, there was no way right, because that would then mean doing that thing with a man. Oh god, just the thought of it felt so embarrassing and most of all scary. There was no way that she would ever do that with anyone right, that wasn't her purpose in this life, although she did love children, but no way.

However Irene's words and her actions did quickly bring smiles to the onlookers faces. Kaiser Wilhelm and Heinrich even nodded their heads lightly as if agreeing with the woman's words.

Then Willy with his hand around her shoulder gripped her a bit tighter and also joined in by happily commenting. "Yeah, Irene's right. With all that you know you'd most definitely make for a very knowing mother, but with how much you also exercise I'm sure you'd also make for a good birthing mother as well. Like a true Queen, hehehe."

But as Willy said this the faces around the table turned to shock, for whatever reason. And as for Lili it was way too much and so she lightly slapped Willy on his leg and said.

"AHH shut up Willy, don't say that. I'm not giving birth to no babies and becoming no ones mother any time soon, no way. I already have little Waldemar and that is enough for me, ok. So stop teasing me Willy its not funny."

Clearly the boy was messing with her, right? But more importantly it seemed that she had totally wandered off topic here. So thinking back on her purpose for finding the royals in the first place she then quickly reached inside her dress and between her nonexistent cleavage. And from there she then pulled out a stack of papers that she had prepared in advance. Papers which in some detail entailed the first phase of her plan to see Willy's Germany succeed.

For within those papers was the plans for the creation of the worlds greatest Lottery business. A lottery that everyone around the world would come to know as Lilis Welfare Lottery. A lottery that was one part lottery and another part charity.

But of course in this time period the Lottery was nothing new. In many places around the world there are various kinds of lotteries being played even now and millions of lottery tickets being sold.

However, after investigating a little, Lili had quickly found that the lotteries here were quite bad in terms of their reputation and the simpleness of the games. Many Christians and other religious people considered lotteries to be immoral which was not good for the lotteries. Lotteries also didn't have many bonuses or excitement within them to make them fun or exciting to play. Lotteries were quite primitive here and prone to cheating or good old corruption which obviously was not good. And so the game wasn't being played all that much and the market never really took off here like it would do in later years.

For instance there was a scandal where some years ago a particular lotterys owners close friends and even some family members ended up winning multiple lotteries. Which then of course when discovered then led to a huge scandal. And in the United States there was even talk of bribery and foul play within their own lottery system. Well needless to say the lottery in this time period didn't have a good reputation.

But Lilis lottery would of course be different for it would have that welfare part in it. Although it would still mainly be a lottery of course, but a better, fairer, more moral, more exciting and overall it would be a much better lottery than all the others.

The lottery tickets that Lili decided to sell were partially copied from the Europes modern lottery game. There would be fifty golden yellow balls and twelve blue bonus balls, if you win five yellow balls then you win the grand prize, but get the right two extra blue balls and then you will win the real winning price.

The idea here being that if you buy only the ticket for the normal yellow balls you might pay less, but you will also only win about two hundred thousand German marks or so. But pay a bit extra and then you can maybe even win over a million Marks with one right blue ball added on to the five yellow ones, or if your really lucky and get the five yellow and two blue balls correct then you will win over five million Marks.

Of course all normal working class men should be more than happy to even win a few hundred thousands of Marks, but people were greedy and winning Millions of Marks was so much more tempting.

Like this she was sure that huge profits could be made. Plus just by judging from the success of the same game in her first life she was pretty confident that it would cause quite a frenzy in the whole of Europe and the world at large. And the wealth generated from it would be astronomical, at least in the billions which was a lot of money in 1891. Of course all good and lasting things must have firm roots and so at the beginning it would only be made a thing in Germany. It would be a thing that would in fact need to be patented and marketed as more of a thing made to help the poor instead of a lottery, hence the name Lilis Welfare Lottery.

Plus the name would also help it differentiate itself from the German royal family and Germany in itself and by doing so hopefully help it become international. Also Lili did find the welfare part in the name to be kind of funny as that wasn't even the real main point of the whole company, it was just a small part of it, so it was kind of like a lie. Pretty much like the Federal reserve was not really federal at all but just a privately owned bank in America. Although that bank was not yet of course created just yet in this time period.

And although there were only a few sheets of paper, it took Kaiser Wilhelm, Prince Heinrich, Irene and Willy almost an half an hour to read it all. The Royals being educated as they were did quickly seem to pick up on the potential of this business idea and even looked over the papers multiple times to make sure they got it all right.

Then Heinrich was the first to speak as he looked at Lili and excitedly commented. "Hahaha, this is great Lili. With two lotteries being played weekly and each normal ticket costing one Mark and fifty pfennigs, plus with the bonus ticket costing an additional fifty pfennigs you would be sure to make a huge profit. Especially with Germany's population already close to 50 million I'm sure such a lottery would be able to sell millions of tickets weekly making at least a couple hundred million Marks in a single year. Plus with my Brother's help I'm sure we could indeed forget the taxes as you have suggested here, isn't that right brother?"

Nudging Kaiser Wilhelm on his side the man then looked at Heinrich and thoughtfully said. "Well that's true, but supporting this would still be highly immoral and possibly damaging to the reputation of the monarchy."

Hearing this Heinrich patted the Kaiser on his shoulder and said. "Aah, don't be like that brother it is in the girls name after all and according to this she does intend to place twenty percent of profits into charity. So in fact you can think of it as nothing more than just a fundraiser for charity and like so your hands would be totally washed of any sin."

To this Lili quickly added by saying. "Yeah with that money we could build schools for the poor. Public Libraries, homeless shelters and hospitals for instance. Or even help people who might have lost their loved ones or maybe even lost their homes in some horrible disaster like a fire."

Then Willy joined in by saying. "Yes that's right father. Besides you would personally be getting thirty percent of the profits here, I would get forty and Heinrich another ten percent. Meaning that according to Lilis plan the royal family all in all would be gaining eighty percent of all the profits here. The charity would take only twenty percent of the costs and with Heinrich in Charge I'm sure this will succeed without any problems."

Hearing the words the Kaiser seemed to become more convinced, but then Irene looked to Lili and spoke up saying. "But Lili what about you? You wish to give us this and all you ask in return is to be the image of the company and for your name to be on there? But what about your profits, I don't see them written anywhere in here?"

Then all eyes turned to Lili, even little baby Waldemar looked at her in wonder as she simply said. "I don't need anything. I just wish to help you all, and with my name being there I wish for me to be the one to blame if something goes wrong. I don't want to cause any harm to any of you, that's all."

Quickly after saying this all seemed a bit stunned as Irene then came to hug her as she said. "Oh Lili, we can't do that. How could we place such a heavy weight upon your shoulders. No, what if we just call it the German Welfare Lottery and let's say you have sixty percent of the profits?"

Shaking her had Lili lightly pushed the woman away and then firmly said. "No, I don't want any profits for myself. I merely wish to help Willy and you all out, that's all. Besides I'm no good with money, I would just waste it all on the wrong things or bad things. So no, please I don't want any. You have already given me plenty enough as it is. And no the name also cannot be changed for the lottery will be international and I want my picture to be on the front of the company to hopefully help the company grow even more."

Hearing her words the people around the room hesitated, until finally the Kaiser spoke up with a serious tone as he asked. "Well said Lili, your words are truly touching and quite convincing. But why are you allocating the majority of the profits to my son. Tell me honestly did Wilhelm put you up to this, just what are you thinking my son?"

Suddenly all eyes looked to Willy and the boy froze and shook his hands as he honestly said. "What, no, I didn't say anything to Lili. All she told me when she was writing those papers was that she was planning out my future for me and all of Germany. Honestly father I had nothing to do with it. I mean come on father do you honestly think of me as being so lowly to actually be taking advantage of a girl like this?"

Quickly Lili too hurried to Willy's defence as she said. "Yeah that's true, Willy wouldn't ever make me do something like this. Besides its not like anyone has ever come up with anything quite like this. It's like with my wing suit, all being of my own personal design. No one here on this earth ever showed me how to do any of these things, these are all completely original ideas, I swear."

Then the Kaiser looked to her and seriously asked. "Then how exactly is it that a six year old girl came up with all of this in the slums of East London? Are we seriously just supposed to believe that you came up with all of this on your own? Don't think of me as being cruel Lili, but I need to know if I am to support you in this endeavour of yours."

The man seemed serious, he wanted answers which was to be expected. After all it did seem like quite a ridiculous thing for her to just know everything that she knew without anyone ever teaching it to her and with her being as young as she was.

So not knowing what more to say Lili merely shrugged her shoulders and simply said. "Well let's just say that God works in mysterious ways. More than that I'm not willing to say. Now you can either accept that or leave it at that, its your choice."

The people around and the baby even seemed a bit disappointed, but understanding of her answer. But strangely the Kaiser seemed a bit taken aback by her words. He actually seemed to take her words seriously as he pulled back in a seeming shock and said. "I, I see. Well this plan of yours has my blessings then. I will not question you any further on this matter then and I'm sure Heinrich will see all the details to this plan of yours done. And as for the taxes, well by selling it as a charity I'm sure that I can get the Reichstag to place the taxes to zero or close to it. The winners of this lottery will not hopefully be needed to pay any taxes for their winnings and the profits of this game will be allocated as you have wished for them to be here."

To this Heinrich agreed, although as he looked to his stunned brother he too seemingly became a bit stunned as well. Seeing it Lili couldn't help but wonder if her saying that God works in mysterious ways was a bit too much. After all the Kaiser was quite a religious person and possibly prone to believing in miracles. Something that her strange actions and new inventions and ideas could possibly cause the Kaiser to start seeing them as such.

Well whatever the case the talk seemed to come to a happy conclusion and even little Waldemar seemed quite happy with it as he started clapping his hands together and laughing happily, which made everyone smile. And soon mugs of milk were passed around and food was ordered as they then started chatting about lighter things.

Overall Lili was quite pleased as with Willy's five million Marks, Heinrich being the Commander of the German Navy surely having tens of millions of Marks, and Kaiser Wilhelm having possibly hundreds of Millions of Marks she was quite sure that this business was going to be a great success.
