Chapter 61 - Chapter 61 Big Gains incoming.

In late July word about the mysterious Angel of London named Lili and her arrival had spread all around Germany. Many talked and speculated greatly on these wild stories about this girl supposedly flying and even saving a young girls life with something called the Abdominal thrust.

And while many had seen the pictures of the girl standing alongside the Kaiser and the Queen of Britain who supported the claims of the girls actions being real, many simply just couldn't believe it to be so.

To many the whole thing just seemed so ridiculous and unreal. So from all over Germany and neighbouring nations as well reporters quickly set out to find this girl and see if these claims were truly real.

And indeed once they found the girl within the town of Plön all doubts were quickly forgotten. For under the reporter's few cameras and others excellent drawing skills they had managed to capture the girl's cute appearance once more flying like a bird in the sky. Again the girl had made herself something that she called a wing suit. She also gave interviews, showed off her wing suit and explained the abdominal thrust to the reporters as well.

And she not only spoke to the reporters in German, but seven other languages as well. Needless to say all who saw the cute little girl and witnessed her doing these things were absolutely stunned.

Now there were no longer any doubts about it, this girl was the real thing and she was an absolute genius as well. All around women especially were stunned to hear it to be like so, after all scientists argued that a woman was supposed to be less intelligent than a man and yet here there was such a brilliant little girl for everyone to see.

Truly this Lili was a one of a kind type of girl, and she was already working on her next big new projects that were soon to be revealed for all to see. And indeed in the month of August word quickly was spread about the establishment of Lilis Welfare Lottery and its opening day.

And within the newspaper advertisements people could see the cute little Lili standing there with a pleading expression asking people to buy her welfare lottery tickets so that she could help poor children like herself.

There next to the picture and slogan words the newspapers had written down Lilis sad life story. Within the story it spoke to the world of Lilis poor life story living on the streets of London. It told everyone of her having no family and hardly anything to eat each day. It also talked of how she wasted away her precious childhood days working in a brothel for a meager wage. That was until finally one day she managed to gain the attention of the German Crown Prince Wilhelm and after that she was saved from her life of poverty and uncertainty.

So now she asked the people to buy her lottery tickets so that she could gather money to help other poor children like herself. She believed that a person's childhood years were the most important of all and so children should be protected and cherished by all. And this she intended to do with the people's kind contributions to her Welfare Lottery in which the participants would of course be given a chance to win something for themselves as well.

To all the people this seemed like a great deal. Not only would they be given a chance to get rich, but they would also be helping the poor children of Germany. And most of all their money would be going to this cute little girls seemingly pure cause, so how could they resist buying at least one lottery ticket.

Time passed little by little. On the 18th of August, 1891, Lilis Welfare Lottery tickets began to go on sale throughout Germany. Originally they were only going to be temporarily sold in the big cities. But the advertising was too effective and quickly it became clear that the lottery would be an absolute hit, so from small towns to the largest of cities all were given places of purchase for the lottery tickets.

And so already within the early morning hours of a working day people were already lined up to buy their own tickets before heading off to work. Heinrich and Wilhelm seeing the overwhelmingly positive response were overjoyed knowing that the profits were going to be absolutely astonishing.

Already the men were popping over expensive bottles of wine within the Kaiser's Royal Placa in Berlins. However Lili herself remained completely oblivious to all of this she merely focused on coaching the royals into unlocking their powers and knew nothing of the happenings in the world outside the manor.

Although after a few days from the opening of the lottery Lili was suddenly called to make the world's first Lilis Welfare Lottery number announcement in Berlin. Caught totally by surprise Lili was in shock as she was quickly dressed up and shipped off to Berlin.

Dressed in a simple white dress with Willy sitting by her side and held in a train carriage full of armer royal guards, Lili felt quite overwhelmed. Especially when she stepped off the train and saw the newspaper articles about her along with the cheerful greetings of the people in Berlin, Lili couldn't believe it.

All around people happily announced to her that they had bought a lottery ticket for her sake. While it was nice to hear, their enthusiasm was a bit much. Some looked to her with those overly cheerful smiles while many women looked at her with pity and sadness.

Never had she really thought much at all about her time in London or herself telling those pesky reports her story. All she had told them was the truth and nothing more and yet it had such an overwhelmingly positive response amongst these people.

This Lili couldn't quite understand herself. After all there were many poor children in London, Berlin and many other places around the world, so how was her story any different really.

Sure she was the toughest girl, or maybe even the toughest kid on the East side of London. She had in her few early years there gotten into a good few fights with other kids and even used a knife to protect kids from robbers. But honestly for her having the force on her side and being a former demon lord it really wasn't that hard at all, fighting off a few robbers with a knife.

All she had to do was score in a few cuts more on them than what they got on her and then the men would run away. It was easy like that, although she never did manage to win against any of them back then, she merely managed to scare them off.

Also her work at the brothel had helped the women there greatly and she even managed to help a few poor kids back then as well. But that was it and nothing she really ever did had any real impact on anything significant. The East side was still poor and it was going to stay that way unless someone rich and powerful said otherwise.

Well whatever the case was the people in Berlin really did seem to be moved by her story. And so standing in front of the Reichstag building in Berlin, to a massive crowd of onlookers she smiled and loudly as she could announced the winning numbers to the Welfare Lottery.

Taking the small envelope from Willy Age then red out the numbers saying. "Ok, so the results for the first Lilis Welfare Lottery are. For the five yellow ball it is, 02, 09, 17, 18, 31, and for the extra blue balls it is 08 and 12. Congratulations for the winners and thanks to all the participants your contribution to the poor children of Germany is greatly appreciated. And as for the winners be sure to go get your winnings tomorrow at whatever store you originally bought your tickets from! Once someone wins the grand prize and clams it I'll be sure to be there to personally hand it off! So see you then everyone, bye bye!"

After saying this the reporters immediately tried to swarm Lili with their questions, but all were quickly stopped by the large royal guards. And soon the giant men were already escorting Lili and Willy into a carriage and away from the scene.

Seeing this and Lili riding in the same carriage with Willy many questions quickly arose. Just what was the relationship between these two and just how was it that the guards seemed more concerned for the girls safety instead of the Crown Prince.

Many contributed these things to the girls natural beauty, charm and intelligence, but some still held their doubts. Although for the entire German lottery industry and even society at large the bigger question now was who won the lottery?

After all the grand price was especially huge and something that would let a regular person live comfortably the rest of his or her life. Also the distribution of the price money would also be a test to see if the lottery was a scam or not.

So the whole society anxiously waited for the news of this, Lili on the other hand was feeling out of place as she was escorted to the German Royal Placa by a large military entourage.
