Dor!
Dor!
Dor!
One of the bullets managed to hit the leg of a white-furred wolf, blood from the wound splattered to add to the dullness of the dust that was already dirtying it.
With the remaining strength, the helpless wolf hid in the bushes, not caring about the pain of its wounds.
"Where did the white wolf go?" asked the soldier in the neat royal uniform. Beside him, his colleague snorted, "My shot was on target, come on, he's not far from here."
The wolf held her breath when one of the soldiers was only a meter away from her, it just took a little time away from her hiding place being discovered. She had used a lot of luck that day but still hoped not to be caught when the sound of hooves took over the soldier's focus. Finally!
"There, let's chase!"
Coinciding with the soldiers moving away, the wolf changed into human form. As soon as she finished shifting she changed into clothes which were in a plastic bag in her mouth and then bandaged the wound on her left leg.
"It's annoying, there are no mates here, there are only troublesome humans adhering to strange beliefs. White wolves can't be very holy." She grunted, hissing as her wound throbbed with pain.
In the vast forest there must be river water, thanks to a sharp sense of smell, the white werewolf named Arzan managed to find a river and then wash the wound clean. She wanted to quickly leave but was shocked by a gust of wind.
"You are not from this world, what is your purpose?"
"Who's that?" Arzan's nostrils contracted and widened observing what species was talking to her.
"Hello."
Arzan almost fell over due to someone's uninvited arrival. As fast as she could get up as if programmed in her body she ran away.
Whatever species it was, her instincts told her it was better not to have anything to do with it.
"Hey." The person was right in front of Arzan blocking her way.
Seriously, Arzan often falls since being chased by soldiers and it feels very tiring. A wrinkle appeared on her forehead. "Go away, don't disturb me."
"Sorry, I can not." The figure raised his hand giving a false sense of comfort as he grinned mischievously.
It was enough to act like that and Arzan was annoyed, unfortunately, she moved away only to be confronted again. "My name is Ain, I am a wizard." He smiled broadly and Arzan hissed threateningly in return, her claws began to manifest, ready to attack.
Ain chuckled. "I ask you once again, what is your purpose here?"
Right after Ain said Arzan stepped forward to scratch, her target was the chest, wanting to create a fatal wound. Arzan's luck was unlimited, that's how it was, unfortunately as quickly as Arzan attacked, Ain left without leaving a trace, not even his shadow could be seen.
"This is my chance, he might play with me but when he appears again my attacks will be faster."
A gust of wind just like the initial appearance of the wizard man appeared, and that's where Arzan launched her attack. The first wind was just a trick, the second time Arzan was sure it was real. During the second attack, the werewolf lost her balance causing her to almost fall, but that didn't happen when Ain helped catch the wolf girl's body.
There was a scratching sound, Ain's arm formed enough scratches to draw blood.
"Jeez, you're sneaky." Ain hissed but there was no sign of wanting to reply. Ignoring the pain, he focused his strength on locking Arzan's movements so she wouldn't struggle.
The wizard's injured arm emitting smoke managed to make Arzan's eyes bulge as if they were out of place watching the wounds she had made heal without leaving a trace.
"You must be kidding," Arzan growled, feeling unable to move, she sighed, losing interest in fighting which would only make her tired. Besides, the wound still hurts.
"I'm sorry I have to treat you this way. You're so wild." Ain pouted while Arzan snorted.
"I need to know why you are here on the King's orders."
"Oh."
Arzan connected several points, it was true that she suspected that the world she entered at that time was also not normal even though the first thing she encountered was a human.
"Mate, I came here looking for a mate." She hissed like a poisonous snake and Ain was too shocked to gape like a fool. The opportunity didn't come twice, as soon as Ain's grip loosened, Arzan's right foot stepped on her catcher, emitting a howl of pain which immediately allowed Arzan to escape.
She changed shifts to become a wolf, running fast through the wind and ignoring the shift change, she should have been more careful so as not to damage her clothes but running away from the witch was more important. The goal is to go north of the forest to fulfill the requirements for opening the portal back to her world. Along the road, giant trees filled with moss dripped with water, making the road slippery but not enough to make the wolf slip.
Tuing!
Bruk!
Arzan had been paying attention to the road and whatever was in front of her only ended up falling, the wound felt many times more painful because its diameter had enlarged.
"Oh, sorry. I have to carry out orders. This time I will be a little rough."
Instead of being afraid, Arzan sighed in resignation, in her mind, she could already imagine the severe torture she would experience. As if it doesn't weigh anything, the wizard can carry it very easily, putting it on his back.
"You should switch first." The wizard stopped for a moment looking thoughtful. "Eh, but you're naked."
Arzan rolled her eyes in disgust. In her mind, he wondered why there could be such a strange and very annoying powerful wizard.
"There, now you can switch shifts."
Arzan was so tired that she couldn't even think of changing. Her eyes stared blankly, feeling uncomfortable because she could still see the witch placing her hand on his shoulder. A green light shot out from where their bodies met.
"You don't belong here either, wizard." Arzan chuckled, who was laughing at herself because desperately ran away using all means and was finally caught.
The male wizard shrugged. "I was unwanted. One of the warlords found me stranded and here I grew up healthy and strong."
Arzan's energy began to fill but it wasn't enough to help her escape. Arzan hates Ain, the witch is very, very careful.
"Done. Now put on my coat."
Arzan's eyes widened in displeasure at the idea of wearing other people's clothes, let alone men's!
She growled, "No way, use your power to teleport another suit."
"You are my prisoner, take what I give."
Arzan's hand was itching to hit him and she did. It doesn't matter what happens, what is clear is that Arzan is not the polite, girly, and graceful omega werewolf type.
"Ouch." The wizard pouted but still put the coat on Arzan.
"I don't want that," Arzan muttered in his mind annoyed that the wizard had used power on her to switch shifts.
"Yosh, it's better this way." He smiled. For a moment, if the witch wasn't the one who caught her, Arzan would have considered his sweet smile.
He's cute!
Not wanting to waste time, Ain, the wizard, carried Arzan on his back.
"Ain, you did it!"
Arzan's eyes stared blankly, and her jaw was clenched, amidst her bad mood she saw that the soldier chasing her was so happy like the hunter had succeeded in catching a big deer.
"Hurry, His Majesty is waiting."
To hell, Arzan will fight to the last drop of blood so as not to be brought before the king!
