Arzan's body muscles, which were trained to hunt, ran after the person, no matter whether the enemy was strong or not. On her back, Ain quickly held on so he wouldn't fall. His face was tense and his jaw clenched. Even so, he didn't stop or scold Arzan.
Arzan ran quickly through the wind, the path she passed left traces along with claws large enough for a female omega wolf.
From the start, Arzan knew it would be difficult to catch this mysterious figure, so she took a shortcut. Then, Arzan's efforts paid off.
Arzan's fangs were visible, before them was an enemy and he was not a human living in the Clober kingdom but a vampire. Arzan didn't know what happened to her so she didn't immediately realize that the figure was a vampire.
Ain's reflexes were quite good so when Arzan attacked he wasn't thrown far. At this time, Arzan even growled and immediately attacked the vampire. Both of them are equal in terms of strength but Arzan loses in terms of speed, she makes up for this with her agility.
Ain thwarted the symbol that the vampire wanted to make, which he thought wanted to reveal its specifications.
"Sorry vampire, we had to arrest you. I've never heard of any cases of attacks on people here, so your presence is quite surprising." Ain grinned, from his hand fire appeared.
"Wizard and werewolves together?" One of the vampire's eyebrows rose.
From the left, Arzan suddenly appeared and pounced, her movements were good, but when the vampire's hand touched her leg, Arzan's body convulsed. The vampire has the power of the electric element.
Not giving up even though the remaining electricity still felt stinging, Arzan tried to struggle when the vampire was about to bite her. Time seemed to stop and Arzan's claws finally hit something. Her eyes widened to see that Ain was also hit by the attack, he was too close.
A gaping wound was right in the vampire's right stomach but it didn't bleed, only the flesh was torn.
"Argh." The vampire stepped back, his eyes a deep blood red. The amazing and frightening thing was that in his right hand, an electric spark appeared which formed lightning.
Ain clicked his tongue. "Your life must be hard for you to be this strong."
Arzan saw that a blue flame appeared in Ain's hand. She knew the temperature was high enough to burn anything.
As quickly as lightning, the two people from different species clashed and Arzan didn't know what had happened to her so she forced herself to pull Ain but her strength had not recovered enough to realize her intentions.
"Ain!"
A clash of powers resulted caused hot air and strong gusts of wind similar to a hurricane. In the sky, lightning flashed, and some of the white clouds turned black.
Arzan tried to defend herself but there was nothing she could rely on, the wind was more fierce and swept her like a dry leaf in the wind.
The situation was worse when Arzan's back hit a large tree.
"We're still bad as usual, Zannie." Her wolf grimaced in her mind.
"Sick." Even so, Arzan still tried to stand up.
"Arzan." Ain approached Arzan and covered her body. Her clothes had been long forgotten since the appearance of the vampires.
"Swap shifts, please."
Maybe Arzan misheard, after all, her head hurts so much, that any sound adds only to the pain feels like it will explode.
"We were asked to change Zannie, let's do it."
She used her last strength even though she wasn't too sure whether she wanted to change.
The shirt was buttoned and Arzan was too tired to scold Ain for touching her. Ain's touch felt hot and stinging, strangely it feels comfortable, not disturbing. Without speaking, Ain took Arzan in his arms.
Arzan felt a little strange when her body came into contact with Ain's chest, her hands instinctively sought purchase on his chest to balance the body.
"He managed to escape, well we were both injured by the attack earlier."
"Sorry, I'm a burden." Arzan subconsciously buried her face in Ain's broad chest. He smelled like a scented house, smelled coffee. smell was getting stronger due to the minimal distance between them.
"There are several kingdoms in this world. I never considered that some kingdoms had one or two people from other species because no one could find the portal. I assumed he was probably banished just like me."
In his arms, Arzan chuckled, actually laughing at herself, not at Ain's words. She shook her head and snorted as the smell of coffee felt addictive to her.
"Your instincts aren't all right."
She feels floating. Arzan could feel that Ain was walking a little limping. It was a hard blow for her to remind her how much she was giving Ain a hard time.
"You're hurt, put me down." She looked up at Ain only to find that his hair was standing up like a chicken's tail and there were several black spots on his face. If it weren't for the current situation, Arzan might laugh even though Ain hasn't changed at all, he's still handsome as usual. If Arzan can be honest, his good looks are increasing.
Arzan struggled to get down but Ain was too stubborn to let that happen.
"Stay still, you won't be hit by the electricity."
Arzan became increasingly rebellious, which was answered by Ain's grumbling. "That vampire only has one element but he developed it into two moves, lightning, and electricity."
There was a thud sound of something falling, Ain just had a flat expression seeing Arzan lying very unskillfully on the ground. The werewolf grimaced, her eyes bulging and frantically trying to cover her exposed inner thighs.
"Do not see me!"
Not paying attention to Arzan's words, Ain squatted down to close the distance causing Arzan's impulsive movement to push Ain. "I can walk myself, you don't need to carry me."
"Noisy, don't be stubborn. I'm helping you."
"Yes, but you don't have to do that. I don't like being a bother." Arzan was still pushing Ain, trying to keep him away.
In the end, Ain gave up, he pursed his lips. "Come here, I'll help you up."
The request was kind and Arzan appreciated it. Her hand reached out which Ain welcomed, it was still warm even though he had just been hit by a lightning element move.
Arzan pulled the hem of Ain's shirt to cover her thighs so it wouldn't be exposed too much.
"What happened?"
Arzan turned to find Azza not far from them. She didn't blink when she saw the man's shift in Griffin's form. Amid her admiration, something disturbed her mind, Azza switched shifts but his clothes weren't damaged so he wasn't naked. The man had changed into his suit.
"Well, this is what I look like." He grinned. "But that's not important, who is the enemy?"
Ain saw that the sky was still dark even though there was no trace of the magic user. "Vampire. I couldn't get any information from him."
Azza blinked. "Do you remember the smell, Arzan?"
Arzan doesn't know how Azza knows his name but doesn't want to discuss that. There are more important things to do.
"Yeah, we can chase him."
"I don't agree." Ain snorted, the way he stared was intimidating.
"If you're worried she can't move I can take her." Azza shrugged indifferently.
"I said I didn't agree. We'll take her to the new palace after that to look for vampires."
Arzan didn't know what Ain was thinking but she was offended. Ain may be worried and want to do good, but the task of catching an important vampire cannot be postponed. Both of them looked like they wanted to argue.
