"Where should I make a mark on you?" Arzan asked, her forehead furrowed, not wanting to let her thoughts run wild. She didn't want to admit it but marking Ain felt like she mating with her mate, so she was nervous.
Ain chuckled then grinned mischievously, one eyebrow rose and fell deliberately teasingly and even occasionally nudged Arzan as if they were close friends.
"Here," he said, pointing to his neck.
Arzan was expressionless, she already suspected that Ain thought she was entertainment that was very easy to play, a trained circus clown entertaining visitors.
"Okay."
Arzan liked Ain's confused expression before looking as usual. They were in a contest of who was more careless. It wasn't long before Arzan invaded Ain's personal space, narrowing the distance until he was right at the intersection of Ain's neck. From such a close distance, Arzan could see piles of flesh forming perfect muscles.
Arzan grinned mischievously as she glanced at Ain, the wizard was tense, his jaw clenched. It seemed like he was experiencing an inner conflict until fine sweat appeared. Arzan felt comforted exhaling a warm breath.
"Hurry up," Ain said calmly, turning his gaze to the left, occasionally swallowing hard.
The skin under Arzan's teeth was soft and oh my god his blood tasted Heavenly. Arzan is not a vampire but she knows that Ain's blood is wanted by their people.
Ain hissed in pain so that Arzan perforce let go of her bite. Oh Goodness, she was tempted to take a bit of the meat!
"You want to kill me, whatever you think, I won't let it happen." The wizard hissed sharply, which unfortunately in Arzan's eyes resembled a wild jungle cat whose meat was delicious.
Arzan chuckled, looking bored and fed up with Ain whining. "Remember I'm a wolf, don't blame my instinct for wanting your flesh."
"Hey, don't talk like that!" The hair on the back of Ain's neck bristled at the thought that while he was sleeping, Arzan might attack him.
Arzan smiled playfully, "Even though I didn't smell anything when I met you. Wolves very rarely attack humans."
Ain waved his hand as a fake gesture to hide his true intention of holding Arzan's bite mark. It was very stinging and painful. "Okay, now show me you opened the multi-world portal."
"The condition is that we have to be in a remote place where there is no one."
Ain frowned in displeasure, there were many places they would visit and these conditions had to be changed if they didn't want to die. There's no way they have to keep searching the forest.
He shook his head. "Let's change the conditions, I'm the strongest wizard so nothing is impossible."
Arzan stared flatly. "I'm sick of your narcissism." She looked away as if Ain wasn't worth looking at. Meanwhile, Ain puffed out his chest proudly. "That's the reality," he said with a grin.
First, Arzan took the small knife she got from Ain. Usually, she would scratch or bite herself, but this time she wanted to try another method.
Ain touched Arzan's shoulder and cast a spell to channel a little of his strength. The white wolf didn't expect that, she flinched but immediately managed to control herself. She felt unfamiliar with the spell but did not comment.
Ain grimaced when she saw Arzan slash her hand, very careful to avoid the veins even though it still looked scary.
"The wound shouldn't be too big," said Ain.
Arzan didn't answer, focused on drawing blood and biting her lip to endure the pain. Beside her, Ain moved restlessly, making Arzan fed up if she didn't think she wanted to solve this problem immediately.
The blood was allowed to fall to the ground and Arzan read a spell loud enough for Ain to hear. On the blood-stained ground, abstract patterns appeared in the shape of the sun, moon, and symbols of each world.
The werewolf world has the symbol of a wolf's head.
The world of vampires is characterized by red eyes.
The world of wizards is a circle with a star in the middle.
The world of human kingdoms bears the symbol of a crown.
The world of ordinary humans is the symbol of the earth.
The world of mythological creatures bearing the symbol Griffin.
Ain didn't blink, the wound on his neck no longer hurt, he was too focused on the symbols of various worlds in front of him.
He was amazed. "Let's try it in the world of ordinary humans. I wonder how they interact."
"Not the world of wizards first?"
"No." Ain shook his head then snorted which Arzan thought he currently annoyed.
Arzan said the spell 'human world', and a split second of light appeared to form a portal the a black hole.
"You must have bewitched me so that I obeyed your words." Arzan growled, which Ain ignored, saying, "Since the portal is open, let's go."
Ain smiled, he knew Arzan thought the same as him, she wasn't really worried that the King would be angry with them. In some aspects, they fit together as a team.
The two entered the portal.
Both Ain and Arzan were surprised to see tall skyscrapers even though the royal palace was many times more beautiful in terms of aesthetics. Ain elbowed Arzan, igniting a fire of anger at her, she looked annoyed.
"You've never been here?"
"Not yet. This is the last place I want to enter."
Arzan pursed his lips seductively. "Heh, are you sure? My gut feeling says your mate is here."
"Is it true?" Arzan's eyes sparkled with happiness. If it weren't for wanting to maintain her image, she would be jumping around with joy.
Ain smiled faintly. "Let's go, our time is limited."
The two of them went to the shopping center on the street, Arzan kept looking right and left sniffing the air and looking for someone emitting a smell that made her roll until she was drunk. If Arzan manifests her tail then the tail will rotate in all directions.
Her enthusiasm slowly faded cause she didn't find anything, there was only the smell of appetizing food, full people were triggered to become hungry when they smelled the food.
"There are no mates here," complained Arzan, her face twisted in loss of enthusiasm to which Ain responded with a faint smile, trying to cheer her up. Ain rubbed her shoulder slowly. He chuckled softly, "You still have a long way to go. Don't rush, I'm here to help you find it." He saw a stall selling processed beef food.
"Let's try talking to them."
Arzan forgot her irritation and turned to look at Ain flatly, "We can't eat anything here."
"Of course, we can," concluded Ain, exchanging the wallet of a random person passing by them with a piece of worn cardboard belonging to a homeless person.
Ain watched all this without blinking and then she grinned. Wizards are amazing. She casually glanced at Ain's hand in his jacket pocket.
Both of them are not from noble families so whatever clothes they wear are suitable for any world. They can blend in and be inconspicuous. A second later, Arzan focused on a homeless man who looked happy to find a lot of money in his hands. Ain shared the money.
"Let's go shopping."
"Oh, it turns out you know the concept of shopping. I thought you only knew hunting."
Arzan snorted in amusement then shrugged her shoulders. "Well, I don't come from a top-pack family, but I do shop occasionally."
"Up to you." Ain nodded. "Come on."
Arzan happily followed Ain. Arriving at the stall, Arzan's saliva was rushing to come out of her mouth seeing the fresh meat in front of her. Customers witness meat processing directly.
"You want processed meat, not fresh meat, right, Miss?"
Arzan subconsciously grabbed Ain's arm and felt her comfort being attacked. She was sure that the drool wasn't dripping due to her good self-control!
"Who are you?" Arzan saw Ain with no inappropriate expression on him. One thing is certain the trader in front of them is not a wolf or a vampire because Arzan is very familiar with these two species of creatures.
