The morning light cast its radiance upon Rowan's face as he awoke early, willing to journey to the temple for deeper training and the secret knowledge hidden from the world.
Rowan walked through the still, serene village in the morning, arriving at the expansive area filled with chaotic demons. Armed with newly acquired knowledge, Rowan beckoned, "Come forth!" All the demons approached Rowan, not to challenge him but to bow before him. Rowan was surprised as they all prostrated, but he sensed they weren't bowing to him, rather to something behind him. So, he turned and beheld a demon with a crimson crown adorned with crystalline stones that seemed to conjure nightmarish memories.
Unafraid, Rowan challenged the demon to combat. The demon asked, "Do you know who I truly am?" Rowan replied, "Of course, I have no knowledge of your identity." The demon agreed to the challenge.
The battle commenced, with all other demons remaining still in their prostrate positions. Rowan and the demon shattered the ground with their fierce clashes. The demon initially seemed victorious, but Rowan unleashed a golden, radiant punch that sent the demon hurtling into a large stone, shattering it into dust-like fragments.
The tense situation turned into a spectacle as the demon declared, "You are the one I have been seeking." The demon transformed, revealing its true form as an angel, Earth's protector from unbridled chaos and destruction, named Azrael. The demons that had once prostrated also transformed into radiant angels, forming a divine host.
Azrael declared with a resounding voice, "Welcome the new leader!" All the other angels hurled gleaming golden spears into the high sky, their auras illuminating Rowan's eyes with awe and wonder. A powerful wind from the west then swept away everything from Rowan's sight, including the angelic host.
The High Priest arrived at the now empty space leading to the temple. He saw Rowan and asked what had happened, but Rowan remained silent, and they both walked toward the temple.
Finally, they reached the still empty temple, where the High Priest asked Rowan, "Are you ready for today's training?" Rowan replied with burning enthusiasm, "Yes!" The training began with the High Priest demonstrating basic magical abilities, which Rowan easily emulated. Impressed by Rowan's potential, the High Priest proceeded to teach him advanced magical knowledge, equal to his own.
The High Priest initiated a dance that summoned sharp golden spears from the ground, directing them at a large stone. Five gleaming spears swiftly pierced the stone without shattering it, leaving only holes where they had struck. Rowan was deeply impressed by the High Priest's incredible skill.
The High Priest instructed Rowan to try it himself. In his first attempt, Rowan struggled to even lift the family spear from the ground. The High Priest advised, "Find inner balance." Rowan tried to calm himself, and what followed filled him with pride. He successfully shot the spear with a balance of speed and precision that rivaled the High Priest's.
Word quickly spread among the temple's inhabitants, and they witnessed the divine successor in Rowan. The villagers cheered and applauded Rowan, who felt a swell of pride despite having only mastered two aspects of magical power. These two skills, however, propelled Rowan to an extraordinary level of magical mastery.
Back at home, Fahab had heard from the local residents about Rowan's exploits at the temple. He rushed there to see it for himself, arriving just in time to witness Rowan defeat 15 other magic apprentices from different temples in an intense battle. The ground trembled from the incredible magical prowess displayed by Rowan, who easily defeated them all, including Fahab's own astonishment.
Afterward, Rowan returned home, exhausted. All his favorite dishes were prepared by Fahab. Filled with happiness, pride, and hunger, Rowan devoured the meal.
Fahab said, "You are not ordinary; you are extraordinary." Rowan responded, "This morning, I saw a host of angels." Fahab chuckled and said, "Perhaps you are the next wanderer." Rowan asked, "Wanderer of what?" Fahab replied, "A wanderer of the Divine world. If you want to know more, don't ask me; ask the High Priest, for he knows much."
And so, Rowan's grand journey began.
