Chapter 7: assassins attempt.
The following day, it was time for Itachi to return to the Demon Kingdom.
Yuki informed him, "It's time for us to go, my lord."
Itachi, still tired, pleaded, "Can't we stay a little bit longer? I want to sleep some more."
Yuki, however, reminded him, "No, my lord, you have a schedule to follow."
Reluctantly, Itachi sighed and settled into the carriage.
Yuki joined him in the carriage and signaled the knights to start their journey.
From a distance, Rosemarie waved at the carriage, Itachi peeped out the window and wave back.
Itachi commented, "Another long journey."
"My lord, we will reach the Demon Capital soon." Yuki assured him.
Itachi playfully remarked, "That's what you said five hours ago."
Suddenly, arrows came flying toward the carriage. Yuki sensed the danger and quickly summoned a barrier around the carriage.
The knights rushed to protect the carriage, while Yuki jumped out of it.
"Tell your men to get ready for battle" Yuki instructed Commander Lu,
Commander Lu swiftly conveyed the orders, saying, "Men, protect the Demon King!"
The knights formed a protective circle around the carriage, ready for any threat.
Yuki sensed the situation, estimating, "I sense that there are about fifty assassins."
Itachi peeped out of the window and asked Yuki, "Do you need my help?"
"No, my lord." Yuki responded.
The assassins launched a coordinated attack on the carriage, while the knights fought back fiercely. Despite being outnumbered, the assassins were determined to kill Itachi. Gradually, the knights began to fall, injured and struggling to stay in the fight.
Commander Lu observed, "These assassins are skilled."
The leader of the assassins kicked Yuki, sending her flying into a tree. All the knights had fallen to the ground, injured and barely holding on.
The assassins surrounded the carriage, launching a combined assault with overwhelming attacks powerful enough to turn anything or anyone to ashes.
The carriage door suddenly swung open, and Itachi leaped out just before the carriage was destroyed. He expressed his admiration, saying, "I'm impressed," and hurried over to check on Yuki.
"It seems you're all right," Itachi assured her.
The assassins then surrounded Itachi and launched an attack. Itachi skillfully dodged their strikes and retaliated with his own attack, shouting, "Fire Style: Fire Ball!"
Amid the clash of their techniques, one of the assassins conjured a water wall to counter Itachi's attack, creating a thick fog. Another assassin attempted to sneak up behind Itachi with a lethal stab.
As the assassin exclaimed, "Die, Demon King," Yuki suddenly materialized out of nowhere, delivering a powerful kick that sent the assassin flying into the mountains.
Itachi looked at Yuki with surprise, and she proceeded to invoke her ice magic, creating a blizzard that sent the remaining assassins soaring into the sky. She continued, "Ice Magic: Twin Ice Dragon," summoning twin ice dragons that froze all the assassins to death. One by one, their lifeless bodies fell to the ground.
Itachi watched the display with amusement, and Yuki, having exhausted herself, fell to the ground unconscious.
Hours later, Yuki awoke in the woods near a campfire.
"Lord Itachi!" she shouted in concern.
Itachi reassured her, saying, "I'm right here." Yuki embraced him and apologized, "I'm sorry, my lord. I failed to protect you."
Itachi, with a smile, replied, "You did protect me." He got up and walked away.
Yuki clutched her chest as her heart raced. She murmured to herself, "I'm just his secretary and nothing more."
The following morning, after being healed by Yuki, Itachi summoned all the knights to assemble.
One by one, the knights gathered, and Itachi addressed them with a critical tone, saying, "Not only are you guys weak, but also useless." The knights hung their heads in shame.
"But I can train you guys to be the strongest," Itachi continued. "From now on, you knights will be called the Deadly Hollows."
Itachi added, "Inside the Deadly Hollows, we will need healers and cooks. So, if you don't want to fight, you can choose those options."
The knights shouted in unison, "Yes, sir!" with pride and respect.
A few hours later, Itachi arrived back at the Demon Kingdom, ready to continue his duties as the Demon King.
