Chapter 19 -  Second Potions

At the end of the afternoon session, Eleazar returned to his dormitory with a tired look on his face.

The uninformed saw him like this and thought he had studied very hard all day.

The real situation is known only in his mind.

The residue of the first magic potion had been depleted, and the transcendental activity in the body was in dire need of a second potion to maintain it.

How fierce he was at that time during the day, how empty he was now.

After the orgy, there was nothing left of him.

But he couldn't drink the magic potion yet, because of that accident of over-exerting himself at noon, the dormitory would have someone coming over to check at any time, and if he was caught on his way to take the magic potion, it would all be over.

A wave of impotent exhaustion flooded over me.

Eleazar doesn't know how much longer he can hold out.

...

The next morning, he dragged himself to class with a heavy black eye.

He had eaten something random for lunch, but it didn't take him long to walk out the door of the dining hall before he vomited it all up, his body was protesting, they wanted magic potions.

In the afternoon, while listening in class, he had hallucinations in his eyes, but fortunately, he was strong-willed and pulled through.

During the night, suddenly awakened late at night, he found himself slumped in front of his closet door, which was covered with lurid scratches, while all ten of his fingernails were torn up and broken, revealing blood.

Hurriedly cleaning this up Eleazar dared not go back to sleep and sat in his desk reading all night.

On the third morning, a friendly classmate in the classroom reminded him that he needed to see a doctor.

At noon, Eleazar, who has no appetite for ordinary food, sits on a bench by the side of the road, his eyes vacant as he watches the passers-by, his throat gurgling.

In the last class of the afternoon, he suddenly held his head and let out a wail, the teacher and classmates were all frightened by him, and when he was about to come over to check on him he regained his composure and lied that he had dozed off and had a nightmare, and the teacher was very angry.

At the end of the afternoon session, he returned to the dormitory like a zombie, and then sat on the edge of his bed motionless, with bizarre writhing appearing in his body from time to time.

In the evening, he didn't know how he'd fallen asleep until a sudden knock on the door outside startled him, frightening him so much that all his body's open eyeballs closed.

He opened the door of his dormitory and found that it was an instructor from the university who asked him about what had happened when the dormitory was adjusted a few days before.

He answered truthfully in a slightly agitated tone...

The new instructor respected his decision and urged him to stay safe living on his own.

Late at night, Eleazar, whose body was stretched to its limits, was unusually calm.

They are all waiting for that moment...

After making sure that the windows of the room had been tightly closed, he took out his suitcase with some trembling, took out all the contents one by one, and simply arranged them.

Setting the charcoal made from the tree demon on fire, he couldn't wait to set up the crucible.

Turning over the magic guidebook, he reconfirmed the recipe and began to mix it.

"100 milliliters of pure water..."

"100 milliliters of blue-striped octopus blood..."

"Graveyard moss 50 grams..."

"Boil!"

They were very patient with him as he waited...

When the liquid in the crucible boiled, the palm suddenly opened its eyeballs again, and it was very eager to help him determine the following steps.

"One ice-covered grass..."

"One adult Wendigo heart..."

"One sapphire..."

After dropping the ingredients in order, he took the silver rod and slowly stirred it until the liquid became viscous, cloudy, glowing with an eerie blue light, and bubbling with cold.

"Magic Potion - Heart of Ice, blending complete!"

Without waiting for it to cool down, he simply picked up the crucible and swallowed the magic potion in one big gulp.

After finishing his drink, he quickly packed up all the things on the desktop, and after hiding the suitcase once again, he dove headfirst into the quilt, shivering and wrapping it tightly around his body.

Cold...

It's cold...

He felt like he was in a glacier...

Biting his ironic lip in death, he curled his body into a ball, trying to fight off the omnipresent cold.

His body shivered until he had used up all his heat, and with a smile on his face, he stopped his heart.

On the fourth day, he missed all his classes.

On the fifth day, he missed all his classes.

On the sixth day, still absent from classes, he drew no attention from anyone. It wasn't until the evening that the door to his room was opened silently.

Fina, in a hazy night veil, walks over to the bed and reaches out, only to touch his already thoroughly cold body.

She covered her mouth in some surprise and looked around.

There weren't many places in the room where she could hide anything, and she quickly found the suitcase in the closet, opening it as she tried to make sure what was going on.

Smelling the remnants of several empty test tubes, she flicked open her magical guidebook and perused it.

Halfway through the day, she sighed softly.

"Fool, what wouldn't you choose but the Heart of Ice, how can you digest this magic potion so easily..."

"Hey, Uncle Xiao has been refusing to let me into the lab, and I don't know what material is left in your place that would make you want to take such a desperate step."

Fina stood by the bed and gently removed the black veil from her body.

"Cheap again, asshole..."

She covered her white chest, and in a moment, a crimson mark emerged, which was burning with infinite flames, as if it was connected to hell.

Lifting the covers, she gently dove in and cuddled with him.

...

Eleazar, frozen in a 10,000-year-old glacier, is melted little by little.

He felt as if he were in warm ocean water, warm currents flowing through his limbs and bones, very comfortable.

There seemed to be a gentle song humming softly in his ears that he couldn't help but sink into.

I don't know how long it took before the waters dried up and he lay on the dry earth and began to be scorched by the hot sun.

It wasn't comfortable at all anymore, his body stung like pins and needles, his throat was dry, thirsty, and on fire, and he wanted to run away from this place.

Then he woke up.

...

Snapping his eyes open, he looked at the somewhat familiar and unfamiliar ceiling, and the memories that remained in his mind slowly came flooding back.

"I... My name's Eleazar, a Celine, born in the border town of Crowe, and also a Witcher, just finished my second dose of magic potion, and now I'm feeling very thirsty..."

"Thirsty..."

It was an illusion that his body was being burned by the hot sun, but it was true that his throat was about to burst into flames, and he hurriedly got up and went to find his canteen, drinking all the water in it without even thinking about it.

"Hiccup~"

Licking his lips, which seemed to be molting, Eleazar glanced out the window at the sky.

It was pitch black, and he awoke in the middle of another night.

First, set the date; with the lesson of the first magic potion, he was ready in his mind.

Leaving the window open, he squinted his eyes, his gaze piercing the darkness as he looked toward the Academy's clock tower.

Sept. 21, 4:29 p.m. ...

He slept for 18 days, a full half...

You're not expelled from school already, are you?

Eleazar laughed at himself but realized it wasn't funny at all.
