Chapter 2 - The River Wanderer

As Flint had walked further into the woods hoping for a way out he was stumbling upon tracks that appeared to be smeared in blood.

He began to shed fear as he witnessed the tracks.

The tracks looked to be hooved and heavy according to how deep the prints drove Into the ground.

In the distance he heard a haunting bugle from what sound like an elk and ran towards the direction of the sound.

He hoped that whatever made that sound could either help him find a way out or support him in some way.

He heard the haunting call again but much closer and found a clearing in the forest that had a river in between him and the other side of the forest and frantically tried to get behind something before something else came with to hunt him down.

He found a fallen tree and had some trouble hiding his giant physique behind it.

He witnessed a creature come out of the thick woods from the other side of the river that was unlike anything he has seen before.

It stood on two hooved legs like a goat or a horse but had the upper body of a strong wodland being from which he had never encountered before.

It had a deer skull for a head and was covered in lichen and vines as it crouched down and dipped one black long arm into the water and caught itself a trout. And began eating it until it caught a scent.

A scent of a Dragonborn.

It stood up to its full 7 foot height and stalked it's way towards Flint.

He could see all this occuring and began to run, showing himself to the creature and it roared at him and began to chase....

Until a arrow hit the creature in the left eye.

It screamed in pain in high pitched agony as it plucked the arrow out of its blinded eye, which detached itself from its skull face, giving it more pain.

It looked over to see a hooded figure, in a flowing cape and leather armor, as it held its bow and arrow at the creature, towards its face.

"Back off you woodland abomination" said the figure. It sounded female.

After the beast stared into the figures soul and vice versa it snarled and walked into the woods past the scared Flint and into the abyss of the woods.

"Thanks" said Flint nervously and still in fright of what just occured.

"Don't mention it, My name is Marie" said the figure as it took off the hood showing off her features.

She had a slim face that showed off her glistening white skin as it showed in the sunlight that was able to shine into her facial crevices. She had flowing green hair that almost matched Flints skin if it werent a shade darker.

"Flint" said Flint more nervous and unknowingly aroused by this womans beauty.

"Are you alone out here?" Said Marie.

"Yes, what was that thing that showed it's skull face here a minute ago.

"That was a Wendigo, a woodland beast that is a demon in my eyes. That the heavens, I saved you from that thing" said Marie.

" I could not have faced that thing alone if it weren't for you saving me at the last moment." Said Flint.

" I know, here let me take you too my cabin and get you situated. Follow me." Said Marie.

Flint followed her on the other side of the river into the other side of the woods.
