Mori's hands struggled to keep up with the pace of his mind churning over and over again as he processed his new idea. Millions of delicate lines began branching into one another and fragmenting into a million more as they flowed and diverged from one another in an orderly yet eclectic set far more complex than any simple formation or pattern could contain. His hands moved deftly across the granite but the movements felt stiff and forced, like someone had taken control of a hand that wasn't there's to puppet it and contort it in unatutal bearing. As he began carving out the diagram that would be the basis of his blueprint he began glancing back and forth between a formation grafted on the wall to his left and the intricate design in front of him.
The very concept of his new design was so foreign it wouldn't be a stretch to call it blasphemy to the very art of cultivation as a whole. It stemmed from his analysis on the details of the information he had so painstakingly ripped from his own skull, and the fresh vein it allowed him to take in his current circumstances. Looking at the diagram he began to depict its latest in a separate design so he knew how to properly keep track of the pathways and be able to properly carve them later." Merderains are as verried as there are people ranging from the simple more typical paths found in most people to more complex and unique paths. these come from a variety of reasons from special liniage and bloodlines to simple luck or conditions that can cause someone to have 'uniqe merderains'." He muttered under his breath as he continued to scrawl his designs across the walls now looking more like some carvings found in an ancient tomb rather than something that he had begun casually using to keep track of his work.Previously he had quite the complex set with over a million distinct branches and pathways that branched out along his blood vessels that allowed for the the steady flow of qi.
Mori knew that using the blood vessels was a more natural and smooth path that was easy for the body to accept and utilize to cultivate, but none of that mattered to him for if he could enact his idea it would flip the very notion of cultivation upon its head. Glancing back to the left he saw depictions of formations and artifacts carved into the rock face with distinct qi lines emboldened to depict the way energy flowed. His mind was nowhere near capable of working at its previous strength but it was enough to understand and utilize the charts and diagrams he had harvest out to make up for his lack of ability. As he looked back between the two the similarities began to display themselves as the blueprint for his new merderains looked more like a computer circuit or artifact formation than regular merderains.
" It's such a batshit insane idea that it just might work." He spoke with a soft proclamation that served more to convince himself that it would work 'no it has to work' He thought as he gazed upon the finished blueprint, it's delicate lines and pathways numbered in the hundreds of millions an infinitely more complex design than any merderain chart that he had ever seen. Rather than utilizing the blood vessels as a framework and continuing from there he scraped that line of thinking in favor of a more delicate design. It pictured layers of pathways that started at the very bones of his body. Carving into layer after layer of his body from his skeleton to his organs and blood vessels, the lines still continued, reaching into his muscles and even depicting layers of pathways under his skin akin to a full body tattoo. Though rather than ink it was volatile qi that would quite literally burn and etch itself across every aspect of his body. From his heart to his fingertips every possible section of space would be used to carve channels for qi to flow and rearrange itself in so many ways it would be impossible to try and keep track of them all, for now at least. It was more akin to transforming his crippled body into a living artifact rather than a cultivator, with so many pathways not only would he be able to finally minipulate qi but he could even use them to form formations within his body itself. Like a computer that could reconstruct it's hardware at a moments notice to utilize software without ever needing to install or download it. The very concept was a revolutionary idea let alone the fact he had constructed a functioning blueprint.
"There is still 2 major flaws, without a dantain or spiritual root I'd be lucky if I could even circulate qi let alone actually cultivate." He looked at the navel area of the blueprint which was a blank space void of any connections so he could later graft the roots and dantain back into him when he solved that issue." And I don't have a strong enough catalyst, while the beast cores would be strong enough to actually carve the circuits getting the body to accept them as merderains will bee nearly impossible. Especially considering the severity of these modifications, without it my body would simply die from internal injuries trying to fight the process rather then letting them act as new pathways." This new problem stumped him as he tried to think of a solution, it wasn't that there was no solution, in fact he could think of over 10 catalysts that could work but none of them would he have any shot of actually obtaining in his current state. That was if anything like that existed in this realm in the first place.
"Very well seems I need to go on an expedition then." He stood up properly for the first time in a while as he stretched his body out to soothe his now aching joints while a sly smile crept up his face. "Sadly I don't have a death wish not today at least. Before I set out preparations must be made or else I may end up dinner before I even make it out of the forest. His smile slowly faded, replaced by a determined fire in his eyes. This was mearly a small setback to his acent and he would rip down every wall in his way be it man or Divine till he finally reached beyond the limits of mortals, past immortality and divinity. He would chalange and destroy the very laws of existence and shatter them as well to find the true culprit behind Her death.
