I stood opposite three men, who were dumbfounded as they looked at me. Immediately, they each came to their senses as one of them smiled and called out. It was the old vendor, seems he never had any good intentions towards me, too late to regret that though.
"Hey boys, today is our lucky day. The brat has come to us of his own free will. Let's make sure to let him off easy, no?" The mischievous grin on his face kinda said he was being sarcastic, but I wasn't really sure. Either way, it didn't really matter, because I was going to give their souls to the sword and see the result. I had decided, and I knew better than to hesitate.
I moved swiftly without uttering a word to any of them. The vendor revealed a shocked face as he saw I was coming towards them and not moving away. Perhaps what shocked him the most was my speed, of that I couldn't really be sure. Didn't get the chance to ask either: he was dead before I blinked again.
As soon as I passed him, the sword began to emit a strange dark black glow, then it started to vibrate and emit a humming noise at the same time. I had to use all my strength to keep it from falling out of my hands.
The head of the vendor soon fell off his shoulders. As it was falling, though, the sword stopped vibrating and the head paused in midair, before turning into dust-like particles along with the body and floating towards the sword, entering into it.

I barely paid any attention to the system screen in this situation. I had other prey to catch, after all. But I made sure to notice the important details. It seemed using this sword to kill and take souls doubled any Experience points I would normally get. However, I quickly shoved this at the back of my mind, keeping the information at the ready for when I needed it.
After this strange phenomenon which had lasted but a second, the dark glow from the sword lessened and I could see the outline of the sword again. This time, though, it wasn't that blunt, broken sword from before. It gleamed in the absence of any light and revealed a terrifying aura.
I suppressed my fear and looked up to see the two other men had begun to flee for their lives. Surely, seeing jow easily I had finished off their companion would dash their hopes. Nevertheless, I wasn't just going to let them escape so easily.
I moved in as fast I could and aimed for the head of one of them. As soon as I passed him, his body followed me in the form of dust particles. He was dead before he even knew what was happening.

I looked at the last man and went in for the kill as well.
"Wait! Wait! Please don't kill me! I can help you!" He screamed for his life, terrified like a rabbit caught in a corner.
"Make it quick. Your life hangs by a thread here." I said in a rather vengeful tone.
"Um... um... I can... I can lead you to where the others are." He said, stuttering on his words. I was about to move, before he continued. "And... and before you say it's useless, they are adventurers, I'm sure you are aware. So, they would notice you! That way, you may not be able to unleash your full power compared to if you launch a sneak attack."
"Hmph." I snorted at said man, who apparently had pissed himself in the face of death. I had to admit though, he could make a very good negotiator. If only his greed hadn't led him to me. "Weren't it you lot who was planning to take them out? I think I'll be fine."
I struck as soon as I said this, just as he was screaming 'wait' and 'no' and pleading mercy. I didn't care, see. They came after me so they should have been prepared to meet some sort of resistance. It was just that they never expected their resiatance to be futile against a twelve year old kid.

I wandered the tunnels once again, stealthily moving as I searched for the last group of people which, supposedly had that burly, young man leading them.
During this time, I got a good look at the system messages that had popped up earlier. Apparently, killing with this 'Sword of The Nether ' doubled the experience points I got, causing me to rise rapidly. If I were to kill all the members of the other team, I should be able to level up into level six.
After thinking this, I stopped wasting time and moved to intensify my search. It wasn't long after that that I found them. I was running along a tunnel when I saw someone geared up in a mage's outfit going the opposite way.
I moved swiftly, aiming to end said person as soon as possible. As I struck, however, I quickly adjusted myself midair and let the sword fly out of my hands as I noticed an attack. It seems it was as that last merchant had said. They noticed me, and even on such short notice were capable of acting to stop me. This might be a tough fight after all.
I landed some ten meters away from the closest person in the group before I saw the sword being flung back at me at a terrifying speed. This speed, however, was nothing compared to what I could unleash. Hence, making it extremely easy for me to catch the sword without harming myself.
I finally took a good look at the adventurer's that had come after me. Surprise flashed across my eyes as I saw their faces, and they were surprised to see me too. I could tell.
"Jace?!" A voice called out.
"Sherby?" I was stunned above all else. Who knew that the party I had joined a few days ago would be the ones hunting me down.
