"Alpha, alpha." the girl called out to him sweetly.
Tyler snapped back to reality. He looked at the girl across him and smiled. "Sorry, what were you saying?"
Tyler was distracted. His mind went back to the night before and the proposal Emily brought. She was right; he knew that. She knew exactly what he wanted and she knew she was a right fit. He was in distress though. He hated her and he never wanted to anything to do with her. he was torn at that moment. He looked at the lady opposite him. he wasn't really listening to what she was saying but he knew it was something like who her father was or what she like about him. they all said that to get on his good side. Tlyer gave her a smile and kindly asked her to leave.
"Please send my man in here when you leave." He said to her give her a reassuring smile.
"Yes, alpha."
Oliver came in and bowed.
"Clear the room. No more interviews for today."
"Alpha you just started. Are you sure you want to clear the room?" Oliver asked with a bit of concern in his voice.
"Yes, I am fine." He said and went to his study.
Tyler was a bit confused though. He was curious to know what will make her take such a drastic step. He thought about her proposal again and to him it didn't make any sense. Why would she go that far? Tyler was still lost in thought when Oliver came in with some papers.
"Alpha, here are the papers for today."
"Thank you." Tyler signed them and handed them back to him.
Oliver noticed the look on his face and could help but ask, "Is there something wrong alpha?"
"I want everything on Crescent moon pack, especially their alpha."
"Yes alpha."

Emily was back home and seated for dinner which was as bored as hell. Her father brought a suitor and his family and asked her to be nice. At the beginning, she wanted to give it a chance and actually listen to what he had to say but when he started talking about all the places he had been to and what he does, she got fed up and ordered a lot of wine to help her cope with the night.
Her mind occasionally went to back to Tyler and that night. She was quite certain about a lot of things but at this moment, she was feeling worried. The deal looked good and fair but what is the possibility of him agreeing.
Henry looked at his daughter. She seemed lost. He felt she was angry because he didn't ask her before but he had no other choice. She refused other suitors and he just had to try.
"Emily, why don't you tell the young man about your newest hunt?" he told her. Emily was staring into space with her fingers on the stem of the glass.
"Emily?" he called her. she was still staring into space. He called her out again and held her hand bringing her back to reality.
"Is anything the matter darling?" he asked concerned.
Emily inhaled deeply and gave him a reassuring smile. She faced the young suitor. To her he didn't look bad; her father did have good taste after all.
"So, what do you do? Mr…"
"Joshua." He replied.
"Joshua, interesting." She said with a smile. "What do you do?"
"Well, my father owns an online store." He said with a smile.
"I think you are misunderstanding me Joshua, I asked what you do not what your daddy owns." Emily clarified.
"Emily!" her father tried to caution her
"Father come on, he came her for me, it is only fair if I get to know him." she said and turn to him with a smile.
Henry knew what she was up to. He knew that smile from a mile away. He was going to find a way to mess this up.
"I work for my father." Joshua replied.
"Interesting." Emily said with a smile and took a sip of her wine.
Henry took a deep breath. He could notice the tension building up in the table.
"So, Joshua, tell Emily about how hard you work?" Henry said. He really wanted this to work. This was the last noble wolf she can find and his didn't want Emily as usual messing things up.
"I am sorry to interrupt but I can't do this. You seem like nice person but you have just wasted your time. I will take my leave." Emily grabbed the bottle of wine and glass and left. She heard her father calling out to her but she didn't listen, she just left.
Emily was done with pretence. She knew she didn't want him. he looked like a moron and she would not let someone like that lead her country. He was like the rest of them that only wanted to marry her for her pack. but none like most of them, he had nothing. the fact he called his father means he had nothing.
Emily went to her room and crossed her legs on her bed sipping on her wine. She knew her father would soon storm into her room to yell at her but she didn't care. This was her future and she had the right to decide who she married. She looked at the moon shining into her room and couldn't help but go to her balcony. At that moment, she remembered her mother. she doesn't have a clear memory of her but her father says that she looks exactly like her.
Heard the door to her room open and shut harshly and she knew it was her father.
"What the hell is wrong with you Emily?!" he yelled at her. "That boy was the last person I could find that was willing to marry you. Apparently, your notorious behaviour has spread like wide fire." He said angrily.
Emily remained calm. She knew he was angry and he had every right to be.
"Father, do you really want me to marry that man? He is a moron!" Emily yelled.
"Well, that is on you for chasing very eligible suitor away."
"Fine then, give me three days. In three days, I will find a better suitor than that thing you brought."
Henry stared at her for a while. He has run out of options here and he has on other choice. She was smart so he could trust her to make a good decision.
"Fine. You have three days." He said and left the room.
Emily stared at the moon for a while. This needed to work. It was in her hands now.
