The night came and Emily and Amelia were ready for their mission. Like last time, Amelia waited in the woods while Emily made her way to the castle. She noticed that the security in the castle got tighter but she was well skilled and was able to get to his room without a fuss and waited for him.
Emily was careful not to reveal herself to just anyone. Even though no one is allowed to come into the alpha's room, she still wanted to be careful. She waited in the dark till Tyler came in by around midnight. when he turned on the lights and saw her, he sighed. He walked to his night stand and got himself and glass of water.
"I wasn't expecting you this early." He spoke
"Well, there was a change of plans since you were sopping my pack."
"It is only fair that I know who my future bride is don't you think?" Tyler said with a smile.
Emily was confused. This seemed too easy. From the little she knew about him from high school, he wasn't an easy person to convince and the fact that he looked her up means that he knows of her rejecting many suitors.
"What is your decision?" Emily asked plainly going straight to the point
Tyler was quite for a while. He sat down and began to laugh. "Give me one reason why I should agree?"
"I could give you a lot of reasons and you know that you at a bigger disadvantage than me."
"From my perspective, you are at a bigger disadvantage. If you weren't you would not be here." He said and smirked.
"I think you are looking at it the wrong way. In my case, I have other options but for you I am your only hope unless you want you elders and your pack to find out the reason you have never fought before." Emily told him. the smirk on his face left immediately. She knew how to get him.
"Look, we both have something to loose and gain from this so try to be nice. Besides, you can't get anyone else that will teach you want I can." Emily said confidently.
They both went quite for a while. Tyler thought about it. She was right; he needed her more. She had so many options if this didn't work out but he didn't really have much but he didn't know what to tell her. he hasn't really thought about it. He just wanted to ruffle her feathers a little and the say no but now he thinks about it, she does need her.
"I don't think you have given my proposal a thought." Emily said with a sigh. "I will come back tomorrow for an answer." She said and left through the window.
Tyler looked at the open window and sighed.
Emily went to the woods where Amelia was waiting for her.
"How did it go? Did he agree?" Amelia asked immediately she saw her. she has been pacing round the woods since Emily left.
Emily recalled what happened and got pissed. That boy had some guts to threaten her, she thought. he should be lucky she even wants to marry him. she looked at Amelia, if she told her anything, she would worry for no reason and she didn't want that.
"He hasn't thought about it." Emily told her. "But we will come back tomorrow for and answer." She said immediately when she was the worry on Amelia's face. Amelia wasn't fully convinced and Emily knew that so she changed the subject.
"Let's go home. I will tell you the rest at home." She said with a smile. Amelia gave her a suspicious look but still agreed. That is what you get for having a best friend that know you on and out.
"What if he doesn't agree?" Amelia asked on their way home.
Emily was quite for a while. "Then we will think of another way." After what happened with him today, she didn't want to keep her hopes up. the possibilities of this going the way she wants is quite slim and she didn't want to put her trust in a losing fight.
Both girls got home safely and were in their beds before anyone could find out that they went out. Because of last night's activity, she woke up late. The noise of knock was what woke her up.
Emily groaned and woke up. she hates when people disturb her sleep. "Who is that? Can you stop?" she said in a sleepy voice. When the noise didn't stop, she went and opened the door to see who dared to disturb her sleep like that. It was her father.
"Dad, what is wrong? I need my sleep." She said annoyed.
"You can sleep later. First you need to come down stairs." He said with excitement all over his face.
"Why? What is wrong?" Emily asked. She found it odd. Her father is never this happy about anything.
"You didn't tell me you already found your mate."
"What!" Emily was dumbfounded. "What are you talking about?"
"Someone is her for your hand. Get dress and come down." He said and left her room.
Emily was shocked. She knew she didn't have anyone and she was still trying to convince Tyler so who want her hand. Out of curiosity, Emily got dressed, nothing fancy because she didn't want to get her hopes up and went down stairs. As she was coming down, she was hearing her father happily talking to someone. Immediately her father saw her, her made her presence known.
"Alpha, this is my daughter, Emily Watson-King."
Emily bowed respectfully and raised her head. She was shocked with how she saw.
"Hello Emily. Tyler Bay, alpha of red dawn pack." he said and bowed. "It is an honour to meet you." He said and kissed her hand.
