Immediately they both left, Emily got up and went to Tyler's desk.
"Why have you been avoiding me?"
"I haven't been avoiding you."
"Then why have you come home for almost a week?" Emily was furious at this point. He wasn't only avoiding her but also lying. She couldn't even comprehend why. She asked for his full schedule but there was nothing like country F there. Did both Tyler and Oliva lie to her? she wasn't sure then but now she is.
"I am an alpha, of course I am busy." He said in an obvious tone.
"Why didn't you tell me that you will be traveling then? You knew we have to start you training."
Tyler looked up and stared at her for a while. She seemed furious and it made him very happy. It made him remember their high school days and that duel. He wanted her to feel that same pain for maybe worse.
"We are going to train but first, let's get something straight, you are not my boss and I can very well do what I please. Do not think that because of this marriage you are in control. I married you, remember that." He said yelling at her.
Emily was startled. She didn't know what to say. She looked into his eyes and saw the hate he had. She couldn't comprehend it.
"Why did you marry me?" Emily asked. She was a little bit scared of the answer.
"You want to know why?" he asked back angrily. "Because I hate you and I want you suffer like I did in high school."
Emily looked at him. she couldn't believe what she was hearing. Did he still remember what happened to them in high school.
"Wait, it is all because of what happened over ten years ago in high school? That was a fucking duel and one person had to win! It was not like I cheated or anything!" she yelled at him.
"Yes, you did!" he yelled back. "And I will make you pay for it." He said to he looking straight into her eyes.
Emily got scared at that point, she didn't want to believe that all she has worked hard for will all go down the drain because she didn't notice that her husband hated her and only married her for revenge. A tear dropped for her eye but she cleaned it of immediately. She can't be weak know. A lot of people are counting on her.
"You want to play games right, fine. But have it in mind that I am not letting this slid. We are doing this whether you like it or not?" she said angrily and left the room. Claire followed behind her.
Emily went straight to her room, locked the door and cried. She didn't know what went wrong. She didn't even know if she should be strong or not, all she knew was that she couldn't fail and she needed to make sure that all will work out. She called Amelia and told her everything. Emily went back to Australia that day.
