By the time Amelia came, the lunch was over and Emily was in her room anxiously waiting. Emily told her everything that happened.
"Is that all?" Amelia asked
"What do you mean is that all? Isn't this bad enough?" Emily asked shocked
Amelia burst out. "I don't see any problem here." She said still laughing.
"Just last night he was unsure and now he comes here with a big proposal and you are asking me what the problem is."
"Emily, you are overthinking things. the fact he made the first move doesn't mean he doesn't mean well."
"What do you mean?"
"Maybe the reason you are so paranoid is because you are not the one that made the first step. he took you by surprise which is usually your thing."
Emily went quiet.
Amelia sighed. "Look, stop over thinking things and just go with flow. Go for the party and if by chance he has any ulterior motive, you will know."
Emily thought about it and hope she was right. let it just be that she is paranoid and a control freak. She doesn't want any surprise problems.
The time for the party came and guest were already arriving. Emily picked out a green velvet dress with gold embroidery. Her hair fell in waves and she did some light makeup. She didn't want to impress anyone. She didn't even want to come but since she is one of the hosts, she can't decline.
By the time she came down, the hall was full with guest. It looked like she was the last person to come. She scanned the crowd and looked for Amelia. She was standing at one of the tables talking to a guy. She went there immediately.
"Could you please excuse us? Thank you." She said and dragged her out with allow the young man to say anything.
"What now?" Amelia asked obviously annoyed.
"Have you seen him?" Emily asked searching through the crowd for him.
"Emily, you need to relax. He will come."
Emily looked at her and calm down. She was right. Sha can't do anything right if she is anxious. Emily took a deep breath and went to decides with the foreign clients that came to the gathering. To her, this was an opportunity for her to build better relations for the good of their pack.
The party went on and Emily hadn't seen Tyler anywhere. She wasn't bothered any more and just decide to talk to the rest of the guest until he approached her.
"Hello, Emily." He greeted her and bowed. The guest she was talking to excused themselves.
Emily moved away. She had no interest in talking to him.
"You do know I will be your mate soon, right?"
She looked at him for a while and asked, "Why did you come? I was supposed to come to you. If you have any negative plans end it now."
Tyler looked at her. To him, she is behaving like a child right now. He didn't even know what to tell her.
"Let's dance." He said and took her hand. The went to the center of the hall.
As per tradition, the parties that are soon to be married perform a dance as a way of informing the world of their union. Even though the world has been modernized, the wolves still follow tradition.
Emily, Tlyer and the rest of the wolves on the dance floor bowed to each other and started to dance.
"I came here for your hand because that is the right thing to do. A she-wolf never asks for marriage." He said as he took a step back. "I couldn't let you embarrass yourself especially when I am directly involved."
"How did you convince my father?" she asked him as they moved back and forth.
Emily left it would be hard for them to mate because they are both of alpha clans and the only reason the are going for omega is because they don't want to give any pack a chance to take over.
"That will be my little secret." He told her. Emily laugh making him laugh as well.
"I need you to trust me. we are in this together." Tyler told her with a sincere voice.
Emily gave him a reassuring smile and they bowed to ended the dance.
That night, Emily had a smile on her face. she felt assure that even thing would work out just fine. Her father didn't want to waste any more time so the next day they got married and did the mating ritual at night.
