For some weird reason Emily had a bad feeling about this. Tyler making the first move wasn't really comforting to her. The three of them were at the dining table having lunch. Emily looked at Tyler as he talked to her father. She looked at her father, he looked very happy. Maybe it is because this is the first suitor to come for her after she rejected her mate. The other ones her father usually persuades them and she ends up ruining it.
She saw how composed Tyler looked; she knew something was up his sleeve and that didn't go well with her. he can't take her pack even if they marry. She will fight him till death if she had to.
"Will you excuse me for a moment." Emily said. Should stood up, bowed and left. She went straight to her room and looked for her phone. She called Amelia immediately. It rang for a while and then she picked up.
"This better be important or you are so dead when I see you." She said at the other line in a sleepy voice.
"Tyler is here."
The news made all the sleep in Amelia's eyes go away. "Wait, what do you mean?"
"Tyler is in my castle right now with my father."
"Wait, why is he there?" Amelia asked.
"My father said something about marriage."
Amelia went silent for a while. "Where are they now?"
"At the dining table."
"Keep them company. I am coming." She said and cut the call.
Emily took a deep breath and went down stairs. By the time she came back, her father was gone.
When Tyler saw her confused state and how she looked at where her father was seated, he immediately told her, "He had work to do. He was called."
That put Emily's mind at ease. She sighed and sat down. She looked at him as he ate for a while.
"You should taste the bread; it is quite nice. I must say you have a nice chef." Tyler said with a smile.
Emily didn't say anything. She just stared at him. After something that felt an eternity of her staring at him, she finally asked all the servants to leave and shut the door.
"What are you doing here?" she asked him.
"Isn't it obvious? I am here with my answer." He told her with a smile.
"I was meant to come to you. So why are you here?"
"Emily Watson-King, you are not the only one full of surprises. Besides you are getting what you want, are you not?" He said and cut the meat on his plate.
Emily stayed quiet. She really didn't know what to say at this point. After a while, Henry came in.
"I hope my daughter kept you company." He asked looking at her
"Of course. She is an impressionable young lady." Tyler said. Emily could sense the sarcasm in his voice.
"Good. We will be throwing a party for you this evening. Since you will be staying for a few days to finalize the ritual."
"Of course."
Emily was shocked. Now they are throwing him a party. This can't get any worse.
