Emily has been looking for an alpha who an alpha she can marry for the past month. All the alphas are either already mated or they want to make the two packs in order to get more power. This was becoming more difficult for her but she chose not to give up and kept on.
Amelia called her and told her that she has good news for her. She just hoped it was something that will solve her problem.
Emily waited for Amelia in her room. Amelia badged in and Emily stood up.
"Well, what is the good news?" Emily asked. She could just wait any longer.
"Well, there is good news and there is bad news. Which one do you want first?" Amelia asked.
"Give me the good news first." Emily said
"The Alpha of the biggest pack, what is there name again?" Amelia tries to remember the name.
"Moon pack?" Emily reminds her.
"Yes, the alpha of the Moon pack wants to find a mate and he made it open for anyone in this pack."
Emily shrugged her shoulder. "How is this good news?"
"Haven't you heard? There are rumors saying that he is weak. They say he hasn't fought one duel since he became the alpha and they haven't gone to war."
"Which means there is a possibility that he will need a strong Luna which I am." Emily said in excitement.
"Exactly." Amelia said. Amelia handed her some files about the alpha.
While looking at the files Emily asked "so what is the bad news?"
"Well, the thing is that the alpha is Tyler." Amelia said at once.
Emily looked up. She didn't understand.
"Amelia what do you mean?" she asked.
"Do you remember that time in high school when you had your first duel and you won.?" Amelia asked.
"How can I forget? What about it?" Emily asked.
"Well, that guy that you fought, his name Tyler and he is the alpha." Amelia said and handed Emily his picture.
Emily took a look at the picture and finally remembered his face. She was surprised. She couldn't believe it. That guy was actually the alpha's son. But he was so weak then how can he be an alpha now. No wonder they said that he was weak. Tyler has always been weak from the very beginning and that was one of the reasons him and her never got along.
Emily looked up at Amelia and smiled. "Amelia, there is nothing to worry about. That happened a long time ago. He would have forgotten it by now. Besides it was a duel. What was I supposed to do? Bake him a cake?"
"Emily, you broke this nose and knocked him conscious." Amelia said reminding her.
"Don't worry. That was in the past. I am sure he would have forgotten about it by now." Emily said and brushed it off.
To her this was hope and she wasn't letting it go. Whether he still remembers it or not, it doesn't matter. All that mattered at that moment was how she would convive him to make her his Luna.
"When is the selection start?" Emily asked Amelia.
"Twenty days from now." Amelia said.
Emily sighed. She knew the time was short but this was her only shot. If this doesn't go well, then all her dreams would be shattered. This needed to work at all costs.
