The strong gush of wind wakes up the boy. It was dark. He looks below and sees that he is floating, or more like flying; on his right there are lots of trees, and it looks like he is in the forest. When he looks to the left, he finds out that he is with the witch with whom he stumbled before. She noticed the boy waking up and said,
"Hahaha, oh boy, you're awake?".
It was then that the boy was shocked and started to struggle, but he was too weak to do anything. Then he remembered the story from back in the orphanage.
Flashback:
"Children, time for a bedtime story!"
Ms. Morty called all the children, and they all gathered inside the room in the orphanage. The orphanage was small. There were only two rooms, one for children and one for Ms. Morty.
"Once upon a time, there was a witch known to be the best witch in the world called the blooming lilac. She used to be one of the best witches in history. Her hair was shining purple like a lilac."
One of the students with yellow hair interrupted and said
"Did she eat too much purple candy?"
Ms. Morty replied, No, Charles, she didn't eat too much candy. But she loves grapes. She traveled around the world with her party and helped everyone defeat monsters."
Student with green hair, "Why do they fight monsters?"
Ms. Morty replied, "Tim, remember our class earlier this afternoon?"
Charles chuckled. "He was sleeping the entire class".
Ms. Morty shakes her head. "Monsters hate humans, so they attack every human within sight. One time, the party encountered an ogre that was as big as a mountain. It was a calamity that never happened before."
A student with maroon hair replied, "Did the ogre eat too much fish?"
Ms. Morty replied, "Ogre didn't eat fish, Alkan. Monsters don't need to eat anything; they don't feel hungry, only rage, and ogres grow fast! Ogre could be 3 meters tall in mere days."
All of the students were flabbergasted.
Ms. Morty then continued, "The ogre attacked the party. He swung his club at them powerfully and left a big crater. The blooming lilac successfully dodged the attack. She was flying like a bird while chanting, and then suddenly the sky started getting dark, a huge black cloud came in, and thunder struck! And boom, the ogre disappeared."
All of the students were excited to hear Ms. Morty, but then she continued, "After that, she was gone for a while. No one knew where she was until we started hearing rumors everywhere that now the blooming lilac has gone nuts, her hair has turned dark purple, and she starts laughing every time. Now everyone calls her the laughing witch. We haven't seen her nearby for a long time."
The boy made a sign, Where is she?".
Ms. Morty replied, "No one knows her whereabouts now, but rumors say she went everywhere looking for a child in the night, and if she found the child awake, she kidnapped them!"
All of the children were scared, except Alkan. Then Charles said, "I don't want to be kidnapped. What did she do to the children?"
Ms. Morty replied, "Once she kidnaps the child, no one has ever come back. That's why you all need to sleep!"
After hearing that, all of the children went to bed. There are two bunk beds in the room. The boys sleep in the left side bottom bed, Alkan in the left side upper bed, Tim in the right side bottom bed, and Charles in the right side upper bed.
The boy said to Tim, using sign language, "I'm scared."
Tim replied, "I'm also scared".
Charles said, "As long as we sleep, she won't do anything to us."
Tim then said again, "What if I'm awake and I want to pee?"
Alkan replied to Tim, "None of the stories are true. Ms. Morty just wanted us to go to sleep early. Now let's go to sleep and stop thinking useless things."
Going back
After remembering that, the boy thought for a bit, then went back to sleep.
