Liam woke up to a sweet smell of baking. He got up and washed up, walking by the young womans room, finding she was gone. After he put hus armor back on and grabbed his weapons, he went into the main bakery area. The old woman Celia welcomed him to eat.
"Hello dear, I made breakfast, I hope you like cinnamon rolls." She said, placing food at the table in front of him.
He nodded his head. "Thank you, your very kind." He said, sitting down.
"What happened to your daughter?" He questioned.
Celia laughed. "Well, when you get to know Nyx, you find she never stays still." She said.
His eyes stared at Celia. He finally got the name to confirming that the young womans name. She was definitely the one he had been looking for.
"I have a favor to ask young man." Celia said.
Liam nodded his head, getting out of his thoughts.
"My daughter forgot her meal. Do you mind taking it to her?" She asked, slidding a bag with a cinnamon roll and a sandwich.
Liam picked it up." Where would she be ma'am." He asked.
"She will be at the little dance studio a few buildings down." She said, pointing down the road.
Liam nodded, finishing his breakfast. He then gently put the plate on the counter, walking out of the bakery, with the little bag of food. As he was about to put his hood on, he stopped. A child nearby stared at him, scared, so he decided against it.
Soon her came up to a building that had music playing in the background. He looked up, and there it said,'Rosa's Studio.' He walked up the steps, opening the doors. Seeing a blindfolded Nyx, moving to the rhythm perfectly. She moved with confidence, especially with a blindfold on. It was very impressive.
He walked in with another bell going off. There was a woman who was at the desk.
"Hello, sir, can I help you." She asked, leaning over the desk, pushing out her bottom.
Liam, who noticed this said. "I'm here for Nyx." He pointed at her.
The woman snorted, rolling her eyes, and went to the dance floor, whispering into what he could only assume was Rosa.
"Okay, everyone, take a 10 minute break." Rosa said.
Nyx began walking to the bench, where Liam met her.
"What do you want?" She demanded.
"Your mother wanted me to give this to you." He said, handing her the sack of food her mother gave him.
She opened it, smelling the food inside, smiling at the freshness. She then sat down, where Liam joined her sitting next to her.
"You know when someone wants a stranger to sit, they'll ask." She retorted.
He kept his head forward, not looking at her.
"Actully I am here to talk to you as well." He said.
She stopped eating, picking up her head. He looked at her, seeing the color gold slipping out of the blind fold. She sat up straight.
"What do you want." She asked in a demanding tone.
"God has sent me to gather your help." He said calmly.
As her eye brows raised. "My help?" She laughed. "What help would God or the Angels need from me?" She questioned.
He looked at her. "I think you already know that answer." He told her. "You're different from normal angels, even you know that." He said, leaning his back against the bench.
She gulped. "I've been trying to hide that, can't you tell." She said, pointing to the blindfold.
"Yet every time threatening creatures come into the town, they are mysteriously gone or massacred." He pointed out.
"I can't help you." She said, getting up. Liam reached, grabbing her wrist, gently so as not to hurt her.
She quickly turned her head about to swing when he caught her other hand easily, now inches away from each others face. It was a quiet moment until they both heard screaming villagers.
Liam let go, rushing outside to see six vampires, throwing molotovs at the nearby houses and stores. They were wearing coats with a hood and gloves to protect themselves from the sun. Nyx ran next to Liam as he pushed her behind him.
The vampires then jerked their heads towards them, smelling the air, looking right at them.
"You have something our king has been looking for." One said, pointing to Nyx, who turned her head directly to them and let out a big sigh.
"I give up." She said, pulling the blindfold off, revealing her golden eyes.
Liam kept looking forward, making sure none of them moved any closer. The vampires were still for a moment while the people were trying to put the fire out and trying to stay as far away as possible.
"We're gonna kill you first, then take her." One said, pointing their knife at Liam.
"I don't think that's possible." He said, grabbing his sword, and his eyes started glowing bright.
He pulled his sword from the scabbard, holding it in one hand. The blade had a heavenly glow to it. Nyx took two steps next to him, forming her own weapon. It was a black rope dart, with a cross on it.
The vampires started getting closer.
"Let's dance, angels." He said as they began to charge.
Liam holding his ground blocked a vampires attack. He had dual swords and were fast, but the sun was out, so they were weaker during the day. Liam moved swiftly, dodging twice, and then, with one swipe, the vampires head came clean off.
Nyx had two vampires after her. One ran straight at her while the other jumped. She moved her weapon quickly, grabbing the vampire, in the air, by the ankle and slamming them into the vampire runnibg right at her. They both groaned as she approached them quickly, removing their hoods. They screamed loudly as their skin began to seer away, you could hear the burning. They got up, frantically trying to cover their face, only for Nyx to cut both their heads off. With a swift strike, their limp bodies fell, hitting the ground with a thud.
Liam ran up to the another one who had an arrow pointed right at Nyx. Quickly, he cut the bow in half, then cut his head off, throwing his body into the sunlight, for it to burn.
Nyx, looking at her next target, stood up straight. Her eyes darkened as the sandy dirt below the vampire turned into a sinkhole, quickly swallowing the vampires' cries. Nyx sealed it up, running to the bakery the check on her mother, but the last one began running after he saw the sinkhole, throwing one last molotov near the bakery. Liam appeared in front of him, almost like teleported there, grabbing his neck, staring into his eyes, looking into his soul.
"You have hurt and tortured many innocent souls. For this, you are condemned to hell." Liam said, squeezing his neck tighter, turning him into ash.
"Don't worry, I'll see you again." They vampire laughed before choking, then turning into black ash, sinking into the cracked ground.
He then closed his eyes, looking up to God. Not even a minute later, Liam looked back towards the bakery to see Nyx running in to save her mother.
