Ezra and Arthur walked out of school together. "We are walking there?" Arthur asked.
"Yes," Ezra replies, smiling a bit. "I hope you don't mind," he said.
"I don't," Arthur replies. "I like walking."
"You do?" Ezra said in surprise. Arthur was very lazy the last time they met. He does look fit, but that isn't what he should be thinking about right now. He glances at him, he is good-looking, though.
"Is there something wrong?" Arthur asked, catching his glance.
Ezra blushed in embarrassment that he was caught. "I-I-I..." he stammered, unable to make out full sentences.
He looks down. 'The ground looks nice this time of the year,' he thought.
After about ten minutes of walking, they stopped in front of a five-story apartment complex.
Arthur looks at the building, it isn't the luxury apartment Mrs. Dumas showed him. 'Was I lied to?' he thought.
Arthur sat down on his couch. 'Nice couch,' he thought. He looked around. The apartment is very neatly arranged and clean. There was also this nice scent of the forest lingering around.
It was very light and calming. "Sorry for keeping you waiting," Ezra said, holding a glass of pineapple juice. "Here you go," he said, handing the glass to him.
"Thanks," Arthur replies. It's quite cold despite not having any ice in it. He took a sip of it. It's very sweet. He smiled happily before dowsing the entire thing.
"Is there any more of this?" he asked, his eyes brightening a lot.
Ezra was taking the chocolate out of his bag before he froze. "You've finished it already?" he exclaimed in disbelief. "How come?"
Arthur was about to say something, but Ezra stopped him. "I'll go and get the rest of the juice," he said giggling.
Ezra was amused that Arthur had finished the glass of juice that fast. He expected him to have criticized it for not being freshly made juice. 'He likes it a lot, huh?' he thought.
It doesn't matter if Arthur finishes this one, he only bought it because he wanted to try something outside his usual orange juice. He didn't like pineapple. He thought the juice might change his opinion, but it didn't. 'Now, I don't have to force myself to finish drinking it, despite not liking it.'
He brought the juice out to Arthur and poured a bit on his glass. "Drink it slowly, you have the entire carton to yourself," he said, in amusement.
Arthur grins at him. "Thank you," he said.
Ezra smiled at him and sat down next to him. He began opening the box of chocolate. He looked like he had found a treasure the way he was looking at it.
He looks at Arthur, who is looking at him expectantly. "Are you sure you want some of this?" Ezra asked in a pained voice.
"You don't want to share?" Arthur asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No," Ezra replies, almost crying. "It looks so good," he said.
Arthur pouted a bit. "There are fourteen flavors in it, and I haven't tried any of them yet," Arthur said. "Also you promised to share."
Ezra took a deep breath. He did say he would share, but the chocolate looks so good. However, he did say he would share. His cheeks puffed up angrily. "Fine, but next time buy two, so we don't have to share," he said.
He took one chocolate, everything was dark chocolate, but they were all different shapes and some of them had colored chocolate drizzle on them or crumbles on them.
This one had a dark red drizzle and dehydrated fruit on it on it. Ezra bit half of it and handed the rest to Arthur, who just looked at him in surprise.
"Oh, it's tart-like raspberry," Ezra said happily savoring the taste. "Aren't you going to take it?" he asked Arthur.
Arthur shrugged and ate it straight from his hand.
Ezra's face turned red as Arthur's face brightened. "It's delicious!" he said.
Arthur had already taken another one, ate half, and shoved the remaining half into Ezra's mouth.
Ezra was stunned, slowly chewing the one in his mouth. The flavor surrounds his mouth. "It's caramel," he said.
Arthur nodded. "There are other flavors too," he said.
They finished the box of chocolate fast. Ezra stood up, he felt a bit sick. "I'm going to get some water for the both of us," he said.
Arthur's stomach grumbles out surprising both of them. Arthur sat up covering his stomach and blushed heavily in embarrassment.
Ezra laughed out loud. "I still have some instant noodles. I'll prepare them for you," he said, wiping the tears from his eyes.
Arthur sighed, blushing a lot. Not because he's embarrassed. But because for the past ten minutes, they were both feeding each other half-bitten chocolate.
"This isn't fair," he mutters covering his face.
