Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

Ezra's heat hit him hard, unexpectedly. He knew it was coming but didn't expect it to hit this hard. Today is Monday, he thought that he might take some suppressants and use some scent patches to suppress the effect of the heat.

It is too strong to be suppressed with the suppressants he has, it is too weak, it would also hurt a lot and his scent gland would itch a lot.

His scent spread all over his room his breathing was heavy and his body temperature was higher than usual.

He hears his phone ringing, he knows who is calling, and he doesn't want to pick up the call.

But he picks it up anyway. "Hello," his voice was quite raspy.

"You sound awful," Arthur said coming from the other end of the phone.

"Thank," Ezra replies sarcastically. He looks at the time on the alarm clock next to his bed. The time was 1:39 pm, he's meant to be in class right now, how is he calling him? "Why are you calling me while you're in school?"

"I'm not in school," Arthur replied. "I'm outside your apartment right now."

Ezra sat up abruptly. "What?" he exclaimed a bit. Arthur is outside his apartment. That isn't good, especially when he's in his heat.

"The teacher told me you were sick, so I came to check on you," Arthur said worriedly. "And from the sound of your voice, I can tell it must be bad."

Ezra brushes his hair with his fingers in frustration. "I'm not sick," he said. "I'm in my heat."

The other side of the phone was silent. "Should I leave?" he heard Arthur ask.

Ezra honestly doesn't want Arthur to leave. But if Arthur smells his scent and goes crazy like those Alphas from three years ago.

"Can you give me your blazer with your scent on it?" Ezra asked, not thinking at all. When he realized what he had said, he was about to take it back.

"Okay," Arthur said. "I'll leave it out here. I also bought a few things for you."

Ezra's heart was beating faster than it already was. "Th-th-thank you," he stammered.

"It's fine," Arthur replies. "Come out in ten minutes so you can take it."

"Okay," Ezra replies.

It was exactly ten minutes when Ezra scurried out of his apartment. He saw a grocery back with Arthur's blazer.

He smelled a strong scent of whiskey. He picked up the jacket and took a deep breath of it. His breathing was a bit shaky when he was breathing out. It smells so good.

He enters his apartment, and Arthur comes out from hiding at the end of the hallway. His face was flushed, and he was breathing heavily. His white shirt was red with blood. He had bitten himself hard to control himself. It was difficult controlling himself from running across the hallway and marking Ezra right there.

Ezra may not have noticed it, but his scent spread all over the hallway. It wasn't as sweet as the scent of many Omegas, it smelled like finely aged wine.

"Oh god," Arthur whispered trying to calm himself down. It's quite tight down there. He should have left instead of waiting for Ezra to come out. It's a good thing he learned to control himself because of some thirsty Omegas.

Ezra took the blazer to his room, smelling it. He felt even more hot. "It smells so good," he whines burying his face in the blazer.

His heat became significantly stronger, and he couldn't hold himself from removing his clothes.

Arthur leaves the apartment building once he calmed down. His driver was waiting for him outside and he stepped into the car and received a phone call. "Oh, you picked it means you're not in school!" a man's voice came from the other side of the phone.

"What do you want Rick?" Arthur asked coldly. He wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone right now.

"Wow, someone must have pissed you off. Want me to..."

"Rick!" Arthur exclaimed angrily. "I don't have the patience to speak to you right now, so you either talk or stop wasting my time."

The other end of the phone was quiet for a while. "I need to borrow some money."

"What for?" Arthur asked impatiently.

"To cover some expenses," Rick replies.

Arthur didn't say anything and listened to Rick's useless rambling on why he needed the money. "Do you think I'm stupid?" Arthur asked. "You are yet to pay the twenty-five million you've been borrowing from my uncle, and you still have the guts to come to me for money again."

Arthur--"

"Don't 'Arthur' me, I am not my uncle who would let you go after borrowing such a large amount of money. You either pay it back or don't call me," he said harshly before hanging up the call.

"Are we going to the Dumas' family home, sir?" the driver asked.

"No," Arthur simply replies and the driver nods, taking a different route.
