Chapter 15 - getting answers: part 2

"Like Angels, demons have their ranks and powers, the devil Lucifer being the ruler of the underworld and the strongest, then the high ranked demons. All demons are not classified by names like the arch or warrior for angels but you know them by their abilities, those in higher rank have the ability to shift form making themselves look human and hiding among you humans they have other abilities that you would find out later. The lower rank demons cannot shift form and they wield no abilities they can only hide in the shadows and fight with their large claws and teeth but they can be very annoying most times, those are the typical model of demons your parents tell little kids to scare them" Adrian explained carefully pausing a bit to let it all sink in,

"Okay so you're saying that a high ranked demon was involved in what happened back there" Leslie added

"Correct, you catch up quite fast, you weren't in an illusion you were teleported to an abandoned city" Adrian deadpanned making Leslie's heart drop, she couldn't believe what she heard, creasing her brows she got more confused, if she was teleported how come she didn't feel any change. "The demon must have been quite powerful to do so without Uriel's notice, or he was just slacking off" Adrian said his mocking tone quite evident. Leslie ignored his antics her mind was on the fact that she was teleported to a whole other city "but the demon I saw..."

"The demon you saw was a low ranked demon, it could only follow the commands of the higher ranked demon" Adrian said, the memory of the demon so close to her flashed making her shrink slightly, she would never want to come face to face with such hideous creatures again "no need to be scared I'm sure Uriel will protect you" Adrian added when he noticed her shrink slightly, 'was that supposed to be reassuring' Leslie thought subtly glaring at him, seeing the glare Adrian chuckled

"Why didn't the high ranked demon reveal itself?" She asked, "why don't we go look for the demon and find out" Adrian said smiling, "how....ohhh" Leslie was about to ask how they were going to do that but she realised he was being sarcastic 'damn angel' she glared at him, why did he enjoy messing with her, seeing that smile on his face made her want to... taking a deep breathe to calm herself, the last thing she wanted was to get fired for hitting her boss.

'Someone's true colours are beginning to show, how beautiful' Adrian thought smiling in mischief, "so how did you follow me?" Leslie asked successfully calming down, "though it wouldn't be visible to the eyes of mortals, I realised when you disappeared and quickly followed Uriel's energy to find you" Adrian answered, back to being serious, "You can teleport" Leslie stared at him in wonder, "mmm...I can" Adrian nodded

"But why did you save me? Uriel told me you were cast down here as a punishment, I guess you should have a grudge against heaven" Leslie said looking at him in question,

Adrian stared at her intensely, crossing his leg he said "cause I was curious enough to save you". Leslie stared blankly at him, trying to understand what he meant, but he looked away like he didn't just say something creepy, thinking about it now why was he following her.

"Are you done asking questions" Adrian asked about to get up, "uhhh no I'm not" Leslie replied making him sit down immediately "you have one last question to ask...After that I'll send a driver to take you home" Adrian said waiting patiently for the question.

"Why were you following me...what's soo special about me" Leslie asked staring intensely at him, Adrian watched as her eyes wanted to stare a hole into his forehead to get the answer but unfortunately he can't give her the answer just yet "I was just curious about how an angel could merge with your soul, and yet not be able to come out that's not how possession works...Uriel might really be weak for an archangel" Adrian mocked with a sly smile

"Watch your mouth fallen, do not test me" Uriel took over Leslie's body out of anger, her eyes shone completely golden as her face contorted in anger. Leslie held her head, she felt a bit lightheaded "uhhhh what was that" Adrian smiled like he just won a bet, getting up from the chair, he walked to his desk leaning on it "as hot-headed as always"

Finally getting herself she looked up at Adrian leaning on the chair with a smug look on his face "your angel got a bit grumpy" she heard him say, at this point she really wanted to punch him on his perfect jawline, if it weren't for him she won't  feel like this.

"Any more questions you want answered, I believe the archangel of war can answer...its time you leave, you'll be handed your phone and your bag on your way out. The maid will direct you and a driver will be waiting for you" Adrian said dipping his hand into his pocket

Getting up, Leslie turned to him offering a bow "thank you again for saving my life" she said standing straight she turned towards the door, "ohhh and before you leave, make sure you take a bottle of water...you'll need it, good luck leslie" Adrian added, Making Leslie give him a glance, smiling at her he waved good bye.

Turning around Leslie left the study, and like he said a maid was already waiting for her at the door "please follow me miss" the maid said walking forward, Leslie followed quietly after a few turns they reached the exit a tall man stood with her bag and a bottle of water, whispering a thank you while she took it, looking back Leslie took one last glance at the mansion, she had a strange feeling she'll be back here.

Following the  maid they left the mansion entering what seemed to be a garage, filled with different models of cars, Leslie stared dumbfounded, this place did seem to amaze her. Walking deeper the maid stopped turning to her "I'll be going miss" saying this she bowed "ohhh thank you" Leslie bowed slightly and watched as she left.

Moving forward, she saw a figure leaning on the one of the cars 'must be the driver' she thought, walking slowly towards him, "hi are you...", "yes I am miss" the man turned with a smile, Making Leslie blink multiple times, he was hot, pitch black hair with black orbs that could suck anyone in he was a work of art

Blinking out of her day dream, Leslie touched her red cheeks she couldn't believe she was ogling so obviously at him, could this day just end "I...I'm sorry I was..." she stuttered too flustered to speak, "its alright miss...I'm here to drive home" he said giving her a charming smile, Making leslie turn red even more, picking the bottle of water she gulped to calm herself 'this must be why he asked me to take a bottle of water with me' she thought.

Taking her bags from her hands the handsome fellow opened the car door, dropping the bag he gestured for her to get in with a smile "miss", smiling sweetly Leslie whispered a thank you and got into the car, And they drove out.

Adrian watched from the window as the car left the premises, "you're not going to keep her by your side?" A voice from behind said, Adrian stared as the car disappeared with cold eyes "not yet" he said, "keep an eye on her and make sure your fellow sleezy demons dont lay a finger on her" Adrian added turning to the voice, a handsome tall figure with brown hair that reached his shoulder and striking red eyes that had mischief written all over it "now now Adrian, don't be soo serious you should be more worried about her being charmed by the devil's son inside the car" he said with a wide smile on his face

Adrian's blue eyes shone coldly "do as I say or that smile won't be on your face for a long time" he said, slowly making sure it sunk, "okay okay you don't have to be soo scary yeesh...such a party pooper" saying this the handsome demon vanished into thin air.

Watching him vanish, he walked out of the study with both hands in his pockets, "Now for her kidnapper" he said eyes glowing coldly with mirth.
