Chapter 1 - unexpected change

"what the hell is going on" Leslie exclaimed staring at her reflection on the mirror, her features had changed her black hair had a golden tint at the edge and her eyes were black with golden speckles.

this was definitely not how she looked yesterday at least that she was sure of, but what she wasn't sure of was what happened yesterday all she could recall was that after work she went to hang out with her friends, but the rest were all fuzzy, and thinking about it gave her a headache.

Seemed like she had alot to drink 'mental note, never drink that much again' she thought splashing some water on her face but there was one thing she still needed to find out well two actually, how her hair and eyes changed colour grabbing her face towel she wiped her face gently, "maybe Jake will know something about it" she said, walking back into her bedroom, her room wasn't all that fancy, she didn't have the luxury for one anyways plus she was a simple lady with simple likes.

walking to her dressing table, she picked up her phone, glancing at it her eyes widened "shit I'm gonna be late" she screamed tossing her phone on the bed and dashing into the bathroom she just exited, pulling off her cloths, she apparently passed out on, she headed into the bathroom taking a shower as fast as she could, she walked out of the bathroom wrapped in a sky blue towel. walking to her wardrobe, she scrambled through it tossing out a black Jean trouser with a dark blue shirt and her undies hurriedly putting them on.

she grabbed a pair of blue canvas and her sling bag, and dashed out of the room not minding that her room looked like a tornado just happened in it, she was never one to arrange her things anyways and she didn't have that much time.

hopping to the kitchen while struggling to put on her shoes she finally did.

"honey you've got to learn to always wake up when your alarm rings" her mom nagged as she flipped the eggs on the frying pan. arranging and straightening her chaotic looking hair she walked up to her mom kissing on the cheek, "good morning mum" she said, grabbing an egg with her bare hands shoving it into her mouth before her mom could stop it. "that's bad habit Leslie" her mom said glaring at her, smiling with her mouth full, she blew a kiss to her mom, "I'll be going now mom bye" she said running towards the front door.

"wait what happened to your hair...." her mom screamed but she was already gone, shaking her head she went back to her cooking.

Leslie ran through the sidewalk, the bus station wasn't far away and if she ran fast enough she wouldn't miss it, she couldn't now that she didn't have enough money to call a cab this was her only hope.

Finally at the bus station she heaved heavily out of breath, she was just in time the bus arrived. immediately climbing in she swiped her ticket, walking to an empty seat she fell on it. she was extremely tired and it didn't help with the splitting headache she was having, brushing her hair backwards with her fingers, she glanced at the golden tint trying to think back again at how she got the colour change, the memories were still too fuzzy. she finally gave up deciding to ask jake what the hell happened to her hair and iris.

After a while the bus finally stopped, getting off, she walked a bit before arriving at her work place, a production company named grandier el. It was a film production Company and you still wonder why she didn't have money, she was an intern not full time worker and her boss was an asshole so that actually covered it.

heaving a deep sigh, Leslie stepped into the building, she was a graphic designer so no one really took note of her and she was happy that way, she hated the lime light. greeting some of her friends on the way to her manager's office. Finally arriving at the door she knocked twice and stayed still till she heard "come in", praying internally for her survival she twisted the door knob, opening the door she stepped inside.

Silence enveloped the room, her boss was focused on her system, Leslie stood behind her desk waiting for her scolding.

After a while of deafening silence her boss finally looked at her "you're late miss Anderson" she said her eyes narrowed In anger.
