Adrian walked through the hall of his company, his eyes cold, his aura chilling, the workers dared not to approach him. Eyes narrowed in confusion he kept thinking about the girl in the clinic, he didn't care about that archangel that merged with her soul, his only concern was the girl.
'They look like the same person' he thought creasing his brows as he walked into his office, towards his desk, pressing his tel "Mace, Report to my office" he commanded, walking around his desk, he sat down laid back on the chair.
After a while There was a slight knock the door opened, a tall male figure with brown hair and glasses sitting above his nose stood in front of Adrian's desk,
"You called me sir" Mace said, Adrian stared at his Assistant who has been with him for years and yet refuses to let go of referring to him as 'sir', he tried to do something about that but Mace was just to stubborn and eventually he gave up.
"Run a background check on the girl that passed out in my presence" Adrian commanded, Leslie's face flashed through his mind, "Do you mean Leslie Anderson sir"Mace asked, Adrian leaned forward "is there anyone else that fainted?" He asked, arching his brows with a confused expression on his face, "huhhh no sir" Mace replied, looking at the table, pushing his glasses higher like it was about to fall off.
He hated it when his boss was being sarcastic, no one could guess it was sarcasm making them look stupid, it was fun watching other people fall victim of this but it wasn't fun when he was the victim "I will take my leave first, boss" he said bowing slightly before heading to the door, walking out of the office.
Leslie walked slowly through the sidewalk, she was on her way home, before leaving the company Jake turned up at the clinic while the Nurse checked her vitals to know if she was fine, she was, atleast she felt fine and she wasn't feeling dizzy anymore but the Nurse kept insisting she stayed overnight, Leslie on the other hand wanted to go home. it wasn't a bad idea to stay, the clinic had everything one needed, it looked more like a hotel room than a clinic.
But she needed to be with her mom, the last thing she wanted was her mom worrying about her.
she also refused Jake calling her a cab, she had the urge to walk abit and besides the bus station was not too far from the company, after a while of insisting she was fine and giving reasons she will be, Jake finally let her go, bringing her to her current situation, walking home.
With her sling bag over her shoulders she strode casually, the sun had set a while ago and the full moon was sitting beautifully on the sky. Leslie enjoyed the cool night breeze as she walked, on reaching the bus station she was told that it will take 45mins for the bus to arrive, so she decided to stray a bit before walking back.
Having 15mins left she decided to go back, turning around there was nothing. she didn't realise the street light were off, just the one above her head remained on,the street was completely deserted, Leslie's eyes narrowed confused, she was sure every street she passed was bustling and the shops were open, taking out her phone she checked to see if she could find her way through a map 'No signal'.
