Scarlet woke with a start and could feel her head spin as she stared right up at the ceiling. She flinched her eyes at the soreness her body gave and it was then she realized she was on the floor.
How did she leave her bed to sleep on the floor? She thought as she pushed her body to sit up, feeling confused as she had no recollection whatsoever of what could have caused it.
She tried to remember what she did yesterday. She remembered talking to Johan and leaving just when it was dark enough, then heading back to the house and then what? She thought again.
