"Do we have to do this here?" Agathon sighed as he was lying in the hospital bed looking at his family crowding his hospital room. Aine and Flavius were on the couch playing on their phones. Aeneas was leaning against the wall near the door. Cyra was sitting on the chair near Agathon's bed while Guiellia and Theon were standing by his bed in an interrogation stance, staring down at him.
"We need to discuss this as soon as possible," Guiellia said with arms crossed on her chest.
Agathon sighed in frustration as he turned to his side, closing his eyes. "I feel like a cult sacrifice." He mumbled under his breath.
"I don't mind offering him up as a cult sacrifice," Theon said with a firm face.
Agathon sighed again as he sat up. "Where's my wife?" He asked.
"She went home to change. She hasn't had a wink of sleep since you've been unconscious." Guiellia said.
"Such a good wife she is, isn't she?" Agathon said trying to change the topic.
"Wife? You've accepted that fate too soon." Theon said with bitterness in his voice.
Agathon smiled, "I got married. You weren't there?" He asked. "I said such beautiful vows reminiscing about our time together during our youth. Oh, wait! You were my best man. You were the one who handed me the ring." Agathon said a bit sarcastically.
"Your marriage is a scam and you consider that mutt your wife?" Theon said and Guiellia interrupted immediately warning him as she pushed lightly on his chest.
Agathon gave him a soft and calm smile. "Brother, think twice before you say anything about my wife unless you want your insides splattered on the walls." He said as his red eyes beamed with rage. It was clear to everyone in the room that was not an empty threat. He meant what he said. Theon despite being the older brother swallowed his pride and looked away.
"You all saw how Kavi reacted to someone disrespecting Clarissa." He said gaining everyone's attention. "He is sensitive about her. He always has been and it's not just him. I also won't stand anyone who makes her uncomfortable." He locked eyes with Theon who was standing opposite to him. "Not even my own family. She has to leave her home and live with us. She is making the greatest sacrifice here. I don't want her to feel for a second that she is in enemy territory. We are her family and I want everyone to give her the same respect and love that you give to each other."
"We understand that," Cyra said as she was going through a magazine. "But we are still not sure about your time with Clarissa, as you mentioned, in your youth." She closed the magazine and pushed her long silver hair back behind her right ear as her red eyes calmly looked down at him. "You also have to explain Kavi's reaction and why is he calling her his bride?" She asked resting her hands on the magazine lying in her lap.
"See," Agathon said as he gestured towards Cyra. "This is how you ask someone something. Like a civilized person." The sarcasm was evident in his tone.
"Agathon," Guiellia warned him and he shook his head lightly as he put his hands up in surrender.
"Clarissa and I met in college during our freshman year. I thought she was human at the time-"
"You did not recognize her scent?" Cyra interrupted.
"Usually I would have but I think werewolves must have some strong witches or warlocks because her scent was human. I did the same thing that was why she didn't know anything about me either. One day I was out partying with my friends when I noticed someone was harassing a girl so before I could intervene, Clarissa got involved and she was– violent." HE smiled a little. "I had to protect the culprit from her. Then we went to the police station and after everything was done I offered to drop her off. Her school was on the other side of town but I was intrigued so I chose to drop her off. Before you guys judge me for going after a human girl- I was nineteen and I just wanted to enjoy my time in college. She seemed like my type so I started pursuing her." He paused for a second. Agathon could tell everyone was buying his story except for one pair of red eyes who were just staring at his audacity to come up with such elaborate lies.
He chose to ignore them and continued with his story, "I did not notice at first but Kavi had started to take an interest in her. By sophomore year Clarissa and I were dating and we were kind of serious. Now I think about it we both were planning on breaking up with each other when college would end. But- when the first time Clarissa and I- you know- we got intimate, something happened to Kavi. I think she imprinted on him."
"Imprint?" Guiellia questioned raising her eyebrows at him.
"She imprinted on a Moon God? A mere werewolf? That does not make sense." Theon added.
"This is a theory because wolves tend to imprint during mating and the imprint is usually washed off with time but- I think Kavi became infatuated with her and has been keeping the imprint on him. I have done my research and it is not proven but since werewolves are under the moon curse, it is possible that Kavi can manipulate the imprint."
There was silence in the room. Complete utter silence. While everyone questioned this situation Agathon met the pair of eyes staring at him in hatred, there was fear in them but it was being outweighed by the hatred in his eyes. Agathon passed a huge smile his way as Aeneaus looked away.
In that room full of Aurelia family, there were just two people aware of Agathon's true nature; Agathon himself and his brother, Aeneaus.
