"Are you sure?" Logan asked and Zena nodded.
"I hate to be shameless, even after you have helped me so much. But I have so many enemies and I can't even remember all the people I've hurt, all the people that might want to kill me."
Logan scratched his chin as he contemplated. "I see. Before we think of a permanent solution, take this first." He gave her a small black device.
"What is this?"
"It's a pager. This also works outside the hospital. If you ever feel unsafe, just press this and I will come to you."
"I can't ask you to do that."
"Just take it, Zena." He stated as he clammed her hands over the pager.
"This is all too much. You already gave me a new phone, too." She said and Logan smiled.
"You know, it's times like this I really notice the difference in your personality. Xian took help expecting it as a given. If you are going to fool people. You should accept help and compliments as your right, not a favour."
Zena looked down at the pager as she fought the urge to say. 'But I'm not Xian.'
"I don't think I used to say thank you, but thank you so much, Logan."
"If you really want to thank me, make sure you remember how we met. Okay?"

Zena struggled as her attacker tightened his hold on her throat as she reached into her pocket for the pager. It might be too late, but Logan may at least, catch this man.
She thought all hope was lost until she heard this booming voice.
"What the fuck is going on here?!"
She could feel the urgency of his steps and the gratitude that flowed through her as he kicked the man off her.
She wheezed and coughed as she sucked in the air greedily. Gathering her up to himself, he held her close to him.
"Xian, are you okay?" He asked, and she clutched her throat as she nodded. He immediately shielded her behind him as he warded off and lounge from that man.
Seeing that he wouldn't be able to overpower this mountain of a man, the attached dashed out of the room.
"No! You have to catch him!" Zena screamed with her hoarse, scratchy voice. Both of them rushed to the door as the man dashed away, shoving Logan as he was about to enter the room.
"Don't let him get away!" The man that rescued her yelled, and a startled but alert Xerxes placed his leg in the way and the man tripped over it and landed on the floor, hard.
Logan's eyes widened when he saw the bruises that were already beginning to form on her neck. Two security men walked out of the elevator, blocking the rest of the floor, and Xerxes grabbed the attacker's shirt and yanked him up with fire in his eyes. The man knew there was no escape.
"Who the hell are you?!" Xerxes growled and the man refused to speak. "Answer me!"
"He is biting down on his tongue!" Logan exclaimed as they ran to him. But it was too late. He wasn't biting on his tongue, but he was biting on something. Poison.
He soon began to convulse, and a dark foam poured out of his mouth.
They all watched in horror as he spasmed on the floor until he didn't anymore.
"He's dead," Logan said after checking his pulse. Looking up at the very horrified Zena, he asked.
"Xian, are you okay?"
Zena knew he was saying something. She could see his mouth moving but she couldn't hear any of the words. She was freaking out! Someone just tried to kill her and then killed himself after he failed. She was in deep trouble, coupled with the fact that this was the first time she had seen someone die. An especially traumatic death is well.
That and the fact that she was just choked within an inch of her life. She stumbled backwards as her body became light and the cold but eerily familiar arms of darkness welcomed her again.
Xerxes stared at his wife's unconscious frame with a deep frown on his face. What the hell did he just walk into? And why was he holding her?
"Hey, Felix, what are you doing here?" Xerxes asked. "Since when did you get so close to Xian that you would be here?"
Felix looked up at him, frowning as well. "I'm not. I came here looking for a runaway artist of mine when I stumbled on someone trying to kill your wife."
Xerxes' jaw twitched at the words, 'your wife'. Logan was also frowning, furiously.
"Someone? I believe we know who ordered this hit."
"We do?" Felix asked.
Logan's gaze never left Xerxes as he replied. "We do, and I am looking at him right now."

"Your manager and husband?!" Logan exclaimed when Zena told him about the people she suspected. Well, Molly wasn't really a suspect anymore since confessed.
"I am as flabbergasted as you. But I didn't mistake what I heard."
"Then why do you want to enter that house? It's dangerous, especially when you know they want you dead."
"It's a risk I'm willing to take to be with my sons. Besides, I don't think they are safe there either." She added.
"Really? Do you think the Zhens would harm their heirs?"
'Please, protect my sons.'
Zena shook her head as she remembered Xian's desperate cry.
"I wouldn't put it past them."

Xerxes jaw tightened. "What the hell are you implying, Dr. Lugen?"
Logan folded his hands and stepped forward. "That you ordered the hit on your wife, President Zhen."
