"Hey babe, can I buy you a drink?"
Ningning turned around to see a fairly handsome guy grinning at her. He could not even hide the fact that he was openly staring at her boobs, the bastard.
"I'm not interested, please leave me alone." She said firmly, looking away.
"Aw come on, pretty lady." He insisted, placing his scratchy hand on her naked shoulder. She flinched away from his touch, grabbed the arm and twisted it at an angle the wrist joint cannot turn. The man let out a Yelp.
"You bitch!"
"How dare you lay your hands on me?" She hissed.
"It's just a drink, chill!"
"I said no man, get out of here!"
"Hey, do you need help? Is this man bothering you?" The bartender asked, rushing to her when he heard the commotion.
Ningning froze when she realized the stares coming from the other people around the bar. Tucking a strand of hair behind her ears, she let the man go and awkwardly cleared her throat.
"No, it's nothing I can't handle. Besides, the kind man already knows I'm not interested. Is that right?" she asked with the sweetest smile. The man who was currently rubbing his smarting wrist blinked at her, confused. Why was she suddenly batting her lashes with that innocent expression?
"Whatever bitch." He murmured as he walked away.
Ningning smile faltered, but she caught herself just in time. She couldn't lash out again, no matter how much she wished to. Besides, there were more important things to do, anyway.
Grabbing her purse, she walked out of the bar, pulling her phone out when she was in an environment quiet enough for a call.
"Hello?"
"Miss Mina, hello."
"Molly, any news for me? How's Xian, has she finally signed the divorce papers?" Ningning asked.
"Yes, Molly, I am aware she just gave birth. That is not what I asked you. Has Xerxes finally divorced her?"
Ningning sighed. "What do you mean, she lost her memories? Xian did? That's obviously a farce. There is no way that happened. She is just putting on an act."
"The doctors believe her? You believe her?!" she exclaimed. "Wow, she really is a talented actress, that cousin of mine. It doesn't matter anyway, Xerxes is determined to divorce her."
"Look here Molly, I have worked so hard for three long years to get those two divorced. You better not mess up my plan, besides I have no idea why you are trying to defend her to me. You hate her as well. She has hurt you too, or have you suddenly forgotten her threatening your family? Yes, yes, whatever you have to do. Make sure they are divorced by the time I get back. Am I clear?"
Ningning stared at her phone for a few seconds after she ended the call.
"There is no that bitch lost her memories. No way, and even if she did, Xerxes hates her too much to change his mind. Should I call mother? No, there's no need. The plan would work."

"Hey! Stop driving like a drunkard!" An angry driver yelled as a silver sports car swerved in front of him. Logan was in his own little world to care about the frustration and anger of common people.
He was late, and he was a doctor. That should mean he gets some level of privilege, right? His job required that he get to where he needed to be one time, sure he could have left his house earlier, but what fun was that? That was also not his fault either, that he had a faster vehicle.
"He he he, sucker." He chuckled as he sped past. His celebration did not last for long though, as his car slowed down due to the traffic in front of the hospital.
The other lane was moving easily, but the incoming traffic was so slow it would take another ten minutes for him to drive to the intersection to turn.
"Should I just park here and cross?" He wondered. His gaze travelled to the other side of the road when a woman caught his attention. He did not know what about her made him curious. Was it the fact that she was in the hospital uniform? Or the determined but frightened look she had on her face?
"Tsk, I'm sure I've seen her somewhere before. Is she my patient?"
He kept looking at her and the longer he did, the more certain he became that something was wrong. He got worried the closer she moved towards the road. She shouldn't be out here. If she is still in those patients' clothes, she shouldn't be outside by the road.
Since it didn't seem like the traffic was moving at all, he got out of the car and walked to the median strip. Waiting for an opportunity to cross. It all happened in a blur, while he was looking to his left at the traffic, he heard the blaring horn of a commercial bus. The woman who was once standing safely on the other side of the road was now in the path of the incoming bus.
"Get out of the way!" He screamed, but she wouldn't move.
He didn't even know where the adrenaline came from, but he was running into the road in a blink.
It was by a hair's breadth that the bus missed them after he threw both of them out of the way with his body.
"Are you okay?" He asked, but there was no response. The woman was limp against him.
"Hello?! Miss, miss, are you okay?!" He called out, rolling her onto her back.
'Isn't this that actress, Xian?' the thought as he saw her face.
"Ah shit," He cursed when he saw crimson liquid staining the side of her head. "I need a carrier here!" He yelled as the hospital staff sprung into action. "She hit her head when I pushed her out of the way."
He checked her pulse and made sure she was breathing when they put her on the bed.
"Why the hell is a patient outside the hospital?!" He yelled at the security guards as he passed by with Xian. "This isn't over. Get her into the ER immediately. Call her guardian and inform them. Page Shuhua, tell her it's an emergency. And please get someone to go get my car. I just left it in the middle of the road. Quickly!"
