"What's the situation?"
Logan turned to look at the petite woman running towards him with a flailing lab coat.
"You came quickly," he stated when she came within hearing range.
"You paged. Who is the patient and what is the situation?" Shuhua asked.
"Twenty-seven-year-old female, with trauma to the head," Logan stated.
"It also says here that she just gave birth?"
"Yeah..." he trailed off. "The actress Xian Mina, did she get married?"
Shuhua looked at him, "are you serious? Why are we talking about her?"
Logan shrugged. "No reason. I'm just surprised that she gave birth to twins when we never even knew she was pregnant."
"We? Her pregnancy and marriage have been very public and messy." Shuhua replied. "And why are we even talking about this right now?"
Logan's eyes were wide with shock. "Marriage?! She got married?"
"Have you been living under a rock?" Shuhua asked, she shook her head after a second. "It doesn't matter anyway, I don't know why we are talking about entertainment news right now."
"Come on, let's see this patient." Shuhua stated, walking into the room. "Oh my goodness, it's Xian Mina... or should I say Zhen."
"Is the entertainment news relevant now?" Logan asked, as he joined her.
"It still isn't. But what happened to her?"
"I saw her in front of the hospital and when I went to check on her she was suddenly standing in the path of an incoming bus. She hit her head when I pushed her out of the way." He explained.
"You saved her?"
Logan glanced down at the small woman. "Why do you sound so shocked. I can do good things."
"Hmm."
"I'm serious!" He chuckled. "Do I really seem like a selfish jerk to you."
"You don't seem like a selfish jerk, you are a selfish jerk."
"Whatever. It's just... when did she get married?" He asked again and Shuhua gave him a look of disbelief.
"I don't know how you could have missed it, Xian Mina has been Xian Zhen for about two years now? It was a huge thing when the news came out, but what was bigger were all the scandals."
"What scandals?"
"Why are you so intrested in her personal life? Are you one of those people that are over interested in celebrities?" She asked.
"I mean, I am not over intrested. But it's Xian, what guy would not look at that face and body and not be intrested."
Shuhua let out a grunt of disgust. "If you were so intrested why didn't you know about her wedding?"
"Dude, I haven't been in the country for the past five years, how was I supposed to know?" He asked.
"Oh... that's right."
"Damn, it's too bad she's taken. Zhen... Xerxes Zhen?" Logan asked and Shuhua nodded. "That lucky bastard."
"Lucky is not the word I would use to describe his marriage to Xian. You know she has a horrible reputation right?"
Logan shrugged. "If I looked like that and I was female, I would also demand that the whole world worship me. She's a goddess."
Shuhua stared at him with a mixture of disgust and disbelief. This, this was the reason this woman was still in show business despite the alarming amount of scandals she had. That face, whenever she appeared and flashed a smile people like this would keep forgiving her. It was disgusting to see.
"So if you had a chance with her, you would go for it? Even though she has two kids?" Shuhua asked.
"So what? I'm good with kids."
"I cannot believe you," Shuhua said turning around to walk out. "Let me know when she wakes up."
"No need, I'll take her case." He said.
"Logan-"
"I'll take it and not just because I am insanely attracted to her but because I am really interested in what would force her to try and kill herself."
"Fine, whatever."

Zena couldn't see anything when she opened her eyes. It seemed the darkness was intent on making itself familiar with her. She sat up and realized there was a single bed in the middle of nothing. The bed she was on. Pushing herself off, she stood barefoot on the ice-cold ground. With one step in front of the other, she moved farther and farther from the bed.
"There is nothing here." She murmured after a while. But that didn't deter her. She kept moving.
It wasn't long after that, she saw a woman, but she was facing away from Zena.
"Hello?" she called out to the woman. "Who are you? Where is this place?"
She asked, but the woman walked away.
"Hey?!" Zena yelled, running after her. She turned around briefly and she also started to run when she noticed Zena closing the distance between them. But Zena caught her face even in that split second.
"Xian?! Hey! Hey! Wait!" Zena yelled. "Wait!" She screamed. But Xian kept running. Zena was faster though, she closed the distance so much that she was able to grab Xian.
"What the hell is your problem?! Why are you running from me? Why am I in your body?" She asked. Looking down at her white hands, Zena did not need a mirror to realize even in this darkness she was still in Xian's body. There were two of her, the real Xian and now Zena, standing in the middle of the endless blank space. It seemed eerie staring at the face she now wore, it was like staring at a mirror. Except Xian was not in hospital clothes and she looked broken. Her eyes and nose were raw and red. Tears stained her hollow cheeks and there were dark circles around her eyes.
All the anger that burned in Zena dissipated when she saw how pitiful Xian looked.
"I'm sorry, but you have to protect my sons."
"What?"
"Please save my sons." She pleaded. Zena blinked to make sure she was seeing correctly. Xian's body was fading. She was slowly becoming translucent.
"Wait, you have to tell me more. How do I protect them? Who am I protecting them from? Xian, wait!"
Zena opened her eyes and gone was the darkness. Her eyes scanned the room and she let out a heavy sigh. She was back in her room, in the hospital. She flexed her fingers and toes and she was able to move them.
'That means the bus didn't hit me,' She thought woefully.
"Awake?"
She did not need to see who it was to know who spoke.
