After buying the rest of the ingredients I needed like void salts and the like I could finally produce the remaining Thorium I needed for the creation of the mechanisms for my gun. While I could weave the Thorium into the shape and mechanisms of my gun with my creation skill I couldn't actually make it without the normal smelting process unlike how Mishia did it in her domain.
I couldn't mix the ingredients without a crucible and the help of an alchemy set after all my grasp of creation magic was sub par to say the least, I had managed to find some leftover Thorium in Mishia's inventory and I used it to create the sword and get a grasp of my creation magic. The premise was that it used space magic to deconstruct the object down to the base atoms that form elements and weave them into the desired shape like how my blood magic works to create a weapon or object. The higher the mastery the more you can do with the magic. Eventually I would be able to mould and create elements but it could take a century or two of experimentation to become that adept at it.
Using a mixture of monster blood and parts I mixed in magnesium copper iron and palladium until the vat almost overflowed and left it to heat and meld together while I used the void salts and flowers and parts that I had gathered from the dungeon to create a base elixir before adding it to the vat in small quantities. Defying the laws of physics the liquid metal started to reduce in size as the impurities of the monster blood and parts were burnt. They were a catalyst for the reaction with the elixir. I then stuck my hand in the molten metal and poured all my mana reserves into the liquid metal until it began to shine purple and gold.
Finally! finally it was finished. Thorium wasn't hard to make and was one of the higher quality metals but the induced pain and mana exhaustion on top of it being impossible to shape after it had hardened with made its use not widespread.
I simply cut off the arm I had stuck into the vat and burnt it so that I could use the Thorium that was coating it, although I would have to drink a large quantity of blood to regenerate my limb I personally thought it was worth it. The metal looked pitch black but it had a deep purple sheen with a mix of the colour of mana inputted giving it a deep blue/red glow that looked otherworldly.
I couldn't do much else but slump over until I recovered my mana reserves so that I could finally use my creation magic. The magazines were easy to create and so were the bullets since they didn't require gunpowder but the main gun along with the springs, rifling and other parts would take a lot out of me... But it would be worth it.
After a few hours I willed my mana into the vat of solid metal before imposing my 'will' upon it to create the gun and all of its parts. Sweat dripped from my nose as it ran down my face before creating a pool beneath me as my face became even more pallid than it already was. I was almost finished I just needed to do the finishing touches before I applied the runes.
~Some time later~
Haah- finished.
A feeling of pure bliss enveloped me as I stroked the now rune covered piece of art right in front of me. It deserved a proper name instead of gun MK 3.0.
Maybe something based on how I felt or how others would feel as I welded it. Like a bolt of lightning the name hit me. Reverence. For foes and allies alike would revere this weapon and its user like a god!
Dropping my blood on the runes they disappeared to be replaced by the name of the weapon. I was truly happy with my handiwork. I miniaturised the runes for firing the bullets while adding a space rune to the magazines I had made so that they would have an endless supply of bullets that came straight out of my dimensional space. So what's the point of multiple magazines you ask? Ammo Types! Overpressured, FMJ, Explosive and every kind that I could think of including magic inscribed bullets! But that wasn't the only type of runes I added. I made the weapon basically have no recoil with gravity magic based on my constellation magic and I even used my blood magic to create a rune so that only those with my blood can use it A.K.A a bound weapon that would only ever work for me.
Finally the crem de la crem was a non functioning rune that I needed to create some other things for but once it was working it would be magnificent and it would increase my power several fold. I just needed to create the base of all my plans before I could put it to use.
I wondered about other things I could create and I decided to just create a katana with steel that was super compacted in on itself to the point where even I could barely swing it around and on top I added a Gravity magic rune so I could increase the weight when swinging. This would work perfectly for the academy so I can keep my real weapons concealed. I also created a Cane made out of Thorium with the tip of the cane being spiked but flat at the bottom allowing me to support myself with it but I could still pierce something with it. The handle was a raven since they were my favourite bird and I used some runes to increase the strength and make it a formidable weapon. I had no clue how to use it but that was what the academy was for.
The short swords that I used in the exam had no use anymore after all I picked them up off a corpse of one of the adventurers I kill- I mean that died in an accident so they didn't mean much.
Next was for the armour types I wanted to create they would all have similar properties but their looks would differentiate allowing me to use them in different situations and even substitute them for casual clothing.
~~
Weaving the Thorium together along with the silk of the arachnids that I had killed allowed for a flexible yet sturdy blend that I could use for my armour. On top I would add Thorium plating to some and on others I would specialise them in stealth by adding runes based on my hide presence and concealment skills. Each design had its own finesse and care put into it and I doubted any other type of armour could match it unless it was Mishia's valkarie armour.
I eventually ended up creating 3 types of armour one was based on a Russian officer uniform another was based on a medieval kings armour and the final looked like a suit with an overcoat that i personally liked in my old world.
Each came with the same set of hidden gimmicks but they also had personal ones that I had painstakingly added although it had left me exhausted. They were the Abaddon series of armour sets, perfect for my style and love for powerful looking armour that sent a message.
I wanted to geek out about them but I was just too tired to do so. It was finally time for some rest before I created a replacement for the status watch. I would add more functions too if I could create the mana based adaptive AI that I wanted to create as part of my plans however I wasn't sure where to start with that even with all my knowledge in mana programming and mana application. I would have to brute force it but that's why it would take a few weeks to a few months to perfect it if my hunch was correct but first came the little steps and then who knows I could have something that no other person has in both worlds that I have been in. After all AI was in my old world but it was new and unpolished and I wanted to go further than just that.
I wanted to create something that has never been made but only seen in fiction and movies. I wouldn't stop until it was made.
But for now. I need to sleep. Even without the need to sleep due to my race and lack of need for stamina my mind could still be exhausted, especially after all the rune crafting I had to do due to the meticulous attention required . An hour of sleep would be all I needed and then I could continue creating other items although based on the position of the moon by the time I woke up I would need to head to my first day of classes.
As I jumped onto the bed given by the academy I felt the soft texture of the bedsheets and mattress and Like a switch being toggled off I couldn't stop the exhaustion from overtaking me, sending me to dreamland.
