Not long after the second wave was finished, the gate started pouring out goblins.
{Goblin Invasion: Third wave}

Are you kidding me? The hobgoblin is what we found hard to deal with back then with Nea, now there are 20 of them. Also a berserker? What? Does he swing a giant sword?
"I'll go ahead and deal with the small thieves first, they're the easiest," Elaina said then ran off to the scattered thieves. I assisted her from afar, shooting the thieves that manage to get behind her back. The other people on the field focused on the Hobgoblins. They form teams of 20 to deal with one hobgoblin. Others are scattered dealing with the thieves. I saw Dean Lai and Neirak head closer to the gate.
"Elaina! I will go follow the Dean and go near the gate."
She didn't seem to hear me, so I just went and ran. When I arrived a giant sword came flying toward me. It was a close call, I managed to duck in time. Then the next moment one giant red goblin was running at a fast speed in front of me. I dashed diagonally and released a flurry of arrows.
"Too shallow," I said to myself noticing that the arrows pierce through the skin only by a little.

"That's... NICE!" I yelled in joy because I can get a skill in the midst of the battle. Hopefully, it would be a useful one.
The berserker retrieved its sword and started to walk toward me slowly while I was distracted. I hopped backward and shoot the berserker. The arrows are just ... not going through. The berserker charged toward me and it sent me flying, my HP went down to 1/4 in an instant. I immediately used a potion to recover but the sword is already flying in my direction. I rolled to the side and finished drinking the potion before standing up and shooting again. I decided to kite him, shooting around him but he just brazenly get back his sword and swung causing a huge wind disturbance in the area and disturbing the arrows I shot. I decided to shoot at only one spot, I disabled Split projectile so I can focus all the firepower in one spot. I kept shooting at the berserker's head but it keeps deflecting all my shots. I have no choice but to go near.
I rushed toward the berserker while shooting arrows at his head, I can get closer because the berserker's greatsword is too big it blocks its view. Before I could go near it, it jumped upwards and landed on another spot.
"Heh, it avoided me," I said while I look at the berserker being far away from me.
The berserker finally lifted its sword and wildly swung it while charging towards me. The wind gust created through its continuous swinging makes me impossible to shoot it. The berserker is moving at a great speed and even if I turn side to side now, it is still able to follow me. I waited for the right moment to dodge. Then before it reached me, I thought of something. I used to be able to make my mana explode, if I can stockpile my arrows laced with mana on the arrowhead inside of its body then I can make it explode. I stopped its movement by shooting at the ground in front of the berserker and making my mana explode.
I've regained some of my hope in defeating this guy. I turned on split projectile for my snipe and then keep infusing my arrows with mana, when the arrow gets inside the body I make it explode immediately, giving the goblin berserker no time to react. After some while, the berserker really went full berserk. Its aura formed an armor all over the body.
"RAUUHHGHHGH!" The berserker let out a warcry that paralyzed me for a few moments but that few moments was enough for the berserker to get close and put a good hit on me which sent me once again flying. My consciousness almost faded when I hit the ground.
"Ras, drink this potion quickly!" I heard Elaina's voice faintly and saw her silhouette.
{GRAN CROSS}
"Ras you better get up there fast before it charges to us again!" Nea shouted while she kept the berserker busy.
Ah... it's nice to have comrades.
Once I regained some of my strength, I stood up quickly to see that Nea was being beaten up by the berserker leaving her on full defense. While the aggression is still on Nea I took this chance to shoot its head.
"IT WENT IN A LITTLE DEEPER!" After noticing that, I made it explode causing half of the goblin berserker's head blown apart.

How do I use this? Oh, wait, Nea!! I ran to her side and quickly gave her a potion. While making her drink potion, Elaina also went beside me and said, "To think you could kill a golden monster, you really are amazing!"
"Golden monster?" I asked out of curiosity.
"Those goblins were Red skinned, meaning they are unique among unique in their monster type thus giving them a unique name attached to them and that is 'Golden'. Their power is leagues beyond a normal one, that's why you had a hard time dealing with that, usually, Goblin Berserker don't have that tough of a defense," Elaina explained briefly.
"I see..." So there are unique enemies too huh?
Nea stood up and regained some of her strength, not long after that, the wave ended.
{Goblin Invasion: Fourth wave}
-Start in 30 minutes.
I let out a sigh of relief and took a look around the plain.
"We took a huge loss in this wave," Elaina said, " two of the Goblin Berserker rushed to the town walls and almost broke it down, all the goblins summoned in this wave were 'Golden' so everyone had a hard time."
I look around to see that not many people have survived, there are more people dead on the field than alive. The morale of everyone was at rock bottom, thinking if they could even survive the next wave.
"Don't worry everyone, I have requested reinforcement from the nearby town, Port Lasso. They should arrive during the next wave," The mayor's voice was heard all over the plains and started to regain the people's morale.
"What about Rea?" I turn to Nea and ask.
"I left her with Miss Ysletta and the mayor," she replied.
I could feel a chilly vibe at my side and turned to see Elaina with an annoyed expression.
"Are you okay?" I asked her.
"YEAH! TOTALLY!" She turned her head and walked away from us, going back to the other guild staff.
"You forgot to thank her you know," Nea said to me.
"Ah, right..." I scratched my head and said, "I'll thank her after this. For now, let's take a rest."
I went back to my meditative state because fighting that goblin berserker earlier took a lot from me. I couldn't afford to be careless. I recover my mana and continuously expand it at the same time. Right now, I have 530 mana and 200/20,000 proficiency in the {Pure Mana Mastery}.
Now for this Skill Card. How do I use this?

Finally. That is quite relieving to hear, saves me the time to get another skill. Also, how did some of my skills stay even though I died before?
{It was ingrained in your mind. The skills that you kept using will be remembered by your mind thus you are able to keep them even if you died.}

A deck of cards appeared in front of me and shuffled on its own. I turn to Nea if she could see this but based on her reaction she doesn't. Once the shuffling stopped, a blue colored card was separated from the deck. It shone for a moment then a notification appeared.

Turn normal arrows into Frost arrows. Freezes a small portion around the tip of anything it touches. Disappears immediately when it hit the target. Repeatedly hitting the frozen area will enlarge the frozen area.

Ahhhh, this feels nice. A new skill to spam. Ah before I forgot, I'll put 5 points to my dexterity.
