"Stay here. Don't move.",
Was the last thing she heard before she struggled to stay awake.
When she started to wake up, she could feel the cold floor underneath her. The first thing she saw opening her eyes was a dark gray ceiling.
As she slowly got up, she could see the whole room. It seemed to be a dark to light gray room. The room was large and had only two doors, which were barricaded with wooden panels. The entirety of the rooms was empty. Around the floor, there could be spotted wooden panels, bits from the ceiling, and the wallpaper had chipped away, leaving dry paint and paper on the floor. To her right, she saw a light wooden staircase leading up to a white door. She could only see slightly from the distance she was from it.
Once she spotted the staircase and door, she thought about getting up and walking towards it. But once she put all her weight onto her right arm to try and get up, she felt a sharp pain run up from her elbow to her shoulder. After that feeling, she fell onto the ground again.
Unaware of why she felt that pain in her arm, she turned to see it.
In the middle part of her upper arm, she could see a pocket knife stabbed into her arm. As she fought back tears from the pain, she paused for a second until she took out a handkerchief she had in her pocket. For a second, she kept looking at the handkerchief and the knife, waiting for a moment to take the knife out and place the handkerchief.
Before she could, a hand came in to grab her arm and the pocket knife.
At that moment, she dropped the handkerchief and pulled out her dagger. Which was just her plain arm. Once she realized she had her dagger taken away, she took out her gun instead. She pointed it to the person who had their hand on her arm without looking at them first.
"Susannah?..." the guy's voice said to her.
After just a second, she lifted her head to face him. "Hold on, were you going to shoot me!?" He shouted as he stared at her. "Stab you. And it's Kia." She said, putting her gun away. "Not again.." He said. "Sigh, it's just you. I thought I was in real trouble, " She said, facing him. "Why, thank you, it's nice to hear that," He said in a sarcastic tone. "Wait… you kidnapped me?" She said, recalling being knocked out in the bathroom after Robbert had gotten up to another room. "Well.." He started to say. He quickly took the knife out of her arm and then placed a bandana around her arm instead, adding pressure to it as he tied it.
As he did, he faced her. He could see her eyes swell up from tears. She stood still as she kept staring at her arm. "Here," He said. Handing her a bar of chocolate. "Trust me, you need it," He said. Sitting in front of her.
"...Stevenson King…" She said, "I knew you had killed before, but I didn't know you kidnapped people now." She said as a single tear ran down her face. "That's beside the point right now." He said. "How in the goddamn world are you alive?" He asked.
"It's a long story. I won't bore you with the details."
"You conned me into thinking you were dead for eleven months. The least of your worries should be details. I have time." For a second, she stared at him without saying a word. "For a man so adept at killing, your eyes are remarkably soft." She said, almost whispering to him. After a moment, he gave her a soft smile. "How do we keep getting into these situations?" He asked, referring to the unknown room they were in. "Eleven years of friendship, and I still don't know." She said, turning away after a second. "Oh," She started, "This was, what? The third time you've attended my funeral, " She laughed. "Fifth." He said, still looking at her. "That many?", "Yeah. I'm guessing that by now the police don't like you, "" Aw, " She said, as she started laughing again. "Did you cry all five times?" For a second, it seemed she wasn't looking for an answer, but after a split second of silence coming from Stevenson. She seemed to want an answer. "Wait, did you?" She asked.
"Yeah. What do you expect…" He said, looking down as he took a long pause. "I…" he started as she kept looking at him. "I've discovered that I love you.." He said. Not lifting his head to see her face. She could still see his eyes were flooded with tears as he tried to fight back. As she looked at him, she could see his baby blue eyes glistening. "When did you discover that?" She asked. "Since all my decisions started to revolve around you."
"That's pretty stupid of you. You should've known I was alive all five times," She said, changing her tone and looking away from his face.
"With you, it's hard to know," "Still,"
"I knew you'd say that. Why do you always push me away?" He asked her, "Have you ever considered the fact that I just don't like you?" She asked, turning back to him. "No," "Well, consider it,"
She said as he finally made his way to look at her face, "I'd rather not," he said. Once he did, he spotted the wound covered with his bandana. Even with it covered up, he could still see her blood. He could also see that the knife had through her jacket's sleeve.
Which stained it dark red.
"Why are you covered in blood?" He asked her, pointing to her arm. "I got stabbed if you hadn't realized from the knife implanted in my arm earlier." She said, looking away, annoyed. "I asked, Why?""I don't know. You should ask the person who stabbed me." She said, turning to face him again. "Oh, right." He said. Remembering right before knocking her out. He had stabbed her in the arm due to her trying to restrain from the chloroform meant to daze her.
"In my defense, I hadn't noticed it was you.",
"You didn't notice the person you stabbed?"
"I thought you were dead, Susannah! Goddamnit!"
"Okay and?", "...You punched me in the gut."
"I did not!" She argued. 'Yes, you did!" He replied.
"In my defense, I was getting knocked out!" She shouted back at him.
"Could you at least try to be nice?"
"You're still breathing. That's me being nice, moron."
"Right," He said, rolling his eyes at her.
"How could you not realize who you're kidnapping?" She asked him. "I was told to take one of you out, I wasn't paying attention to it being you. And then I was dragged-", "Wait." She said, cutting him off.
"One of us?"
