"Technically it wasn't on fire." He said.
"Of course, it wasn't on fire! You completely blew it up!"
It took a while, but they dealt with the eight people that were after them.
Even then, they couldn't find Kia. And they also didn't know where she had gone.
At that time, Kia, Kylie, and Stevenson tried making their way out of the forest.
But they unfortunately couldn't.
~~~~~~🗡~~~~~~
"Just use your phone and find a way out. Or we'll be stuck here forever." Stevenson complained. "My phone broke." She responded as the three of them tried to find a way out of the forest.
"It's been going off for a while now. Are you sure it doesn't work?" Kia asked, beside her. "Yes, I'm sure. The old thing has a mind of its own now, I suppose."
"Well, we're lost." Stevenson complained again.
"No, we aren't. Stop saying that." Kia responded with a slight change in tone. "Yes, we are." He argued. "We aren't!"
"Fine then, Miss Navigator. Where are we?" He asked her. "We are right here if you couldn't tell."
"Look," Kylie started, "We just need a plan. One to help us find a way out." She thought for a moment before saying anything else. "How about-", "The plan can't include," Stevenson cut Kylie off. "Explosions, fire, or killing people." He said, staring directly at her.
"Jesus, do you want it to have unicorns and rainbows or something?" Kylie asked, annoyed by him. "You're brainless," Stevenson said, under his breath. "You know I have a good plan," Kylie said. "Escape plan?" Kia asked. "No, just a plan." She replied. "For?" Stevenson asked her as well.
"Our sanities." She said, turning to face him. "Are you going to kill him?" Kia 'suggested' while laughing. "No but now that I think about it, that would be much more effective." Kylie said, considering the idea.
"Woah, hold on. As much as I would love to see that." Kia said, "Didn't you say you're best friends or something?"
"Oh let's be honest, Kia. He's a bother."
"Hey, hey, hey. I'm a friend, not foe! Remember? And didn't I say the plan could involve killing people"
Before she could take either her gun or knife out of her bag.
A hand behind her took her arm just before she reached for it.
Out of surprise, she took her knife out of her bag with her free hand.
She threw the knife just behind her.
But whoever was standing there, dodged.
Her knife ended up stuck on a tree.
"Watch it," a guy's voice said.
It took her a second, but she eventually recognized the voice. "Sigh…"
"What is it with you and throwing knives around?" Stevenson asked. "And missing," Kia added.
"Gee, thanks." Kylie mumbled, pulling her arm away from the guy standing right behind her. "Calm down," He said, without letting go.
"You're not murdering anyone under my watch." She finally turned around to look at him in the face. "Is it still a murder if I gave him a heads up?" She asked. Staring at his Sea green eyes.
"That's called a threat." He answered. "Damn…"
—"Who's this one?"
Kia whispered to Stevenson next to her.
"How would I know?" He whispered back—
"You call it murder, I call it a conversation starter." He said, "That's not how it works.", "I'm aware," She sighed. "Just let go already." She said, pulling on her arm. After a second, he then let go.
"Do you seriously trust her?" Stevenson asked him after he watched him let go of her.
"Just don't provoke her. You'll be fine." He replied to him. "That's not an answer-"
"Who are you?" Kia asked. "Oh sorry, I'm Sebastian-"
"My mass murderer friend," Kylie said, cutting him off. "Best friend," He grinned, giving her a side hug. "Stop," She sighed, getting herself out of the hug.
"Karma…" Steve mumbled to himself.
"I'm not a mass murderer." Sebastian reassured them.
"He is." Kylie said again. "Not."
Sebastian glared at her.
"So is he a mass murderer, yes or no?" Kia asked. Looking back and forth between the dark-haired guy and Kylie. "I assure you I'm not. She likes giving me bad standing.", "You do that on your own." Kylie commented.
She looked closely at him again and realized he was wearing more black than usual. Just a coat, to be specific. "Who's funeral is it?" She asked him.
"Haven't decided," he said, looking directly at her.
"Amazing,", "Right?"
After a moment, he turned his focus over to her left arm. "Are you okay?" He asked. "Oh now you care." She said, walking over to the tree that had her knife stuck in it. "Yeah, I do-", "Cut the act. I haven't seen you in a while and I don't need you to worry."
—"Context?" Kia whispered to Stevenson again. Knowing she had missed out on something and that he probably knew.
"She injured her arm a while back." He whispered back, "What, how?"
"How'd you hurt yours?", "Oh," She paused for a moment. "Wait," She continued. "You stabbed her?!"
"No, you moron!"—
"You can't ask me not to worry. You're always getting yourself in difficult situations."
"These situations?" She asked, grabbing hold of her knife.
"Let me guess. You were either kidnapped or lost out here out of your own lunacy." Sebastian asked.
"They," Kylie said, pointing over to Kia and Stevenson. "Were kidnapped." She informed him.
"I was," She stopped.
While trying to pull the blade out.
"Was it your thoughtfulness?", "Doesn't matter." She said while struggling to take her knife.
They all stood in silence while watching her struggle even more.
—Occasionally curse at the knife or tree.—
Eventually, Stevenson asked,
"You good there, pal?"
"Yeah," She answered. She strained her arm, pulling on the knife as much as she could.
She took one last strong tug at the knife,
but instead of taking it out of the tree, she fell backward onto the ground.
"Do you need a hand?" Sebastian asked. Looking down at her, laying on the ground.
"Does it look like I need your help?" Kylie asked, sitting up.
"Do you really want us to answer that?" Kia asked.
Sebastian extended his hand to her, but she hesitated.
After a second, she gave him an annoyed look and took his hand.
"I'm guessing you're all lost,"
Sebastian asked once she got up. "Unfortunately" Kia responded.
"Well, I witnessed a house explode about two miles from here." He told them. He yanked the dagger off the tree, almost hitting Stevenson.
"For god's sake! Watch it, will you!" He exclaimed.
"Do you have a car?" Kylie asked, snatching her knife from his hand. "Oh come on, a little walking won't hurt.", "You walked here?" Kia asked, "For what?", "I'm pretty sure it was a mistake. But I got an emergency call from you. Do you know anything about that?"
"That's why it was buzzing," Stevenson pointed out.
"I didn't send that, my phone broke," Kylie said to Sebastian. "But you highly needed it"
"You know, it's great you're catching up. But if you know a way out of this damn forest. Would you mind walking to it?" Stevenson asked him.
"Alright then, follow me." Sebastian responded.
