"Is it considered murder if you say sorry after?"
"Not if you don't get caught."
"Do you guys have to discuss this over breakfast?" Stevenson asked Kia and Kylie.
"Would you rather we discuss this in the open?" Kylie asked.
"You are out in the open." He said motioning toward the rest of the office.
"Oh there's barely anyone here," Kylie said, rolling her eyes at him.
"Why are you guys even here?"
Robert asked as they surrounded the space around his desk. As they ate breakfast they bought.
"Desiree's talking with Harrison about yesterday," Kia said along with Stevenson.
"Well, what's your excuse then?" Robert asked Kylie. Who was sitting in an extra chair at the desk in front of Roberts. "Bash works here," Kylie said, eating from a package of cookies she had in hand.
"Since when?" Robert asked, turning to Kia and Stevenson.
"Since you left," Sebastian said to him walking down a staircase that was close enough to their desks.
"Didn't you say you didn't want to be near him?" Stevenson asked. "I never said that." She shook her head. "You said something along the lines of it."
"Your hearing is messed up," Kylie said before Sebastian snatched the package from her hands, and sat down at the same desk.
"...Why?" She asked quietly.
"My desk, my food," He laughed.
"I paid for them," Kylie said, snatching them back.
"I work here. You're at my workplace."
"Your boss doesn't even care,"
"See that's the problem,"
Stevenson said across from them.
"Okay and?" Sebastian asked.
"You don't care either."
"Yes I do, you're annoying."
"Stop it, you have no excuse to care." She laughed and smiled at him as she kept eating.
"Yeah, yeah. You're cute," He said sarcastically.
"Stop smiling and give-"
"Aren't you too young to work here?" Robbert asked.
"No?" He replied.
"Didn't you say he's low on staff?" Kia asked Robbert.
"Harrison can't put up a fight," Stevenson said.
"Harrison contracted him, it's fine," Kylie said.
"Last time I trusted what either of you said, I lost everything," Robbert said, looking back and forth between Sebastian and Kylie.
"Your wallet isn't the end of the world. And in my defense," Kylie added, "I asked you to borrow money. You can't be mad." She said to him.
"It's true this time, don't worry." Sebastian also added.
"Sure," He said, turning over to Stevenson and Kia, who had stopped paying attention long before.
"What's wrong?" Kylie asked Sebastian, after a few minutes of Kia and Stevenson's ongoing argument about twenty different topics. Kylie had noticed Sebastian had a serious look on his face while looking over to the far end of the room. "Nothing," he said, his sight still set on something.
Out of curiosity, she looked to the direction in which he was facing. After a second of looking around she finally noticed what he had his focus on. She realized he was staring harshly at a guy, probably older than them, multiple desks away. From what she could see he had caramel brown hair and dark green eyes. The guy was intently staring at his computer while occasionally looking over at them.
"What, is he new or something?" Kylie asked, still questioning why Sebastian was so set on looking at him. "No, I've seen him around." He answered, still looking over at the guy. "Then why is he so fascinating to you all of a sudden?", "He's not."
"Then why are you staring at him so much?" She asked looking over to the guy again. "Why are you so nosy?", "Curiosity." Sebastian rolled his eyes at her, still focused on the guy.
"He's looking over here a lot. Don't you think so?" he asked, finally turning to look at her. "Ian, you're staring at him as if you're about to threaten his life." She pointed out with a deadpan stare. "Am not." He argued, turning back to his computer. "Sure," She said, looking over to him. Sebastian was already focused on his computer while the other guy started looking over to them again. After a second, she got up from her chair, took three of her cookies, and threw the pack at Sebastian.
"Going somewhere?" He asked, turning to her.
But she ignored him and dragged her chair with her. Ignoring it, he went back to work. After a moment of wondering where she had gone, he turned around and looked over the room. Not even one look around, he saw where she was sitting. Kylie had sat down next to a guy he had eyed earlier.
Two minutes, or more, later she had finally headed back to Sebastian's desk.
"What?" She asked, dragging her chair along once more.
"What did he want?" Sebastian asked as she sat down.
"Nothing," Kylie responded, calmly.
"Then why-"
"I was curious, you kept eyeing him before."
She said before he finished his question.
"His name is Antonio, and he won't kill you." She chuckled. "I assure you."
"Then what did he want-", "Nothing."
"He seems 'off' though-", "Everything seems off to you," Kylie said, rolling her eyes.
"Don't worry about it, she said." Getting up to walk away.
Sebastian sighed and turned to look at Antonio one last time.
"Alright…"
