Chapter 28 - Emotions finally revealed!

The setter turns around.

 "Sorry!" the captain shouts back.

"You should only be sorry when it's truthfully your fault!" The setter was shocked.

"But it was my fault! I decided to power dump the ball-" The Libero yelled.

"Hey guys! Pay attention to the ball-" The ball hits the court in between them.

"Wha-" two whistles blow out. BCHS 16-25 LWTHS: wins [12-25 (LWTHS) / 16-25 (LWTHS)] Erik from Mason County watches from the side as he smirks.

"Those guys have changed since our last match… what did they do?" Kurai lands with a glare.

 "...we win" Bracken's Captain shouts.

"Why is it that you guys NEVER LISTEN TO YOUR CAPTAIN!?" The team looked at him.

"We could have won that if you guys actually paid attention-" the Libero shouts back in anger.

"How are we supposed to pay attention when you aren't!?" The captain stumbles back.

 "Huh?" the setter chipping in.

"Yeah! It's your fault… if you didn't start fights all the time, we could actually win for once!" The captain hits the floor.

"but I didn't-" The wing spiker also joined.

"You're a selfish backstabbing Bi-" Kurai stands behind them, slightly shocking everyone as he towers over them.

"I can't say much as I no longer have the determination to play volleyball… but it's a team sport… settle your differences… BEFORE you get on the court… The court is no place for fighting… it's a place where winners and losers are decided… and today you just happened to end up the losers… deal with it… don't blame others for your own mistakes and deal with it" Kurai Walks away. The captain wiping his teary eyes.

 "Right… I'm sorry… Mom… I failed you…"

Kurai walks over to the bench.

"Coach Russ… what's wrong with you today?" Coach Russ looks up at him.

"What do you mean-" Kurai picks him up by the shirt.

"Tell me the problem that distracts you from the court in the most important part of the game huh?... You tell us to bring our A-Game… then you don't even focus on the final rally of the match!?" Russ turns away.

"It's not something a kid like you would understand-" Kurai shouts,

"Something 'I' wouldn't understand?… I wouldn't understand!?… Is it because of my age?... cause i'm only in high school?" Russ avoids eye contact. Lucas walking over.

"Kurai, you should probably stop-" Kurai yells.

"Why should I…? If it gets between me and winning this tournament… then i'll-" he stops and puts Russ down.

"forgive me coach…" he grabs his duffle bag and walks off the court.
