As Shang Gu walk back to her palace, she didn't notice but Yuan Feng concealed his presence and was walking behind her. Yuan Feng thought that she would walk back to her palace but instead, she walked to the garden of the forefather as she walked over to a tree
"Father." Shang Gu called out to her father in the silence but there was nothing, she sighs as she walked over to the pond and climbed into the pond
"....I feel weak...I need you..." Shang Gu said to her father as she sat in the pond, as Yuan Feng kept watch he noticed the tears streaming down her face
"What should I do?" Shang Gu asked with her shaky voice, she cried with her head down as she pulled her legs towards her chest.
"Yuan Feng...no longer loves me." Shang Gu said
"It's all my fault, if only I'd been more willing to face him like when I was in the mortal realm." Shang Gu said but then all of a sudden she look up at the sky
"But father I was scared! I was scared that we might be pulled apart by time once again! What should I do....father please tell me what I should do?" Shang Gu asked for answers from above but got nothing but she heard footsteps
"Then hold onto me." Yuan Feng said to her
"..." Shang Gu said nothing
"Talk to me, confine in me and we can make it through anything." Yuan Feng said to her and Shang Gu got up from the pond as she was about to climb out from the pond but Yuan Feng took her by the hand
"Don't run away from me any more than you've done, face me and talk to me." Yuan Feng said to her, but Shang Gu shook his hands away from her arm as she walked toward the edge of the pond. Yuan Feng dropped his head as he thought that she would leave; she didn't.
"I thought that I would return to the nine heavens and return back to you in the mortal realm right away but I didn't think that with my powers being sealed it would backlash me to the point of my core being damaged." Shang Gu said to him and Yuan Feng looked up at her back full of concern
"But....But I woke up two days later in the nine heaven realm and it was too late to head back to the mortal realm." Shang Gu said to him and Yuan Feng realized that the reason that she was not able to look at him at all was not that she hated him, she regretted the chance and time that she couldn't get with Yu Chen in the mortal realm, she felt guilty towards him who is now a true god.
"That's why you never came back." Yuan Feng said to her and she nodded
"I never returned to the mortal realm after that day...I thought that if I found out..." Shang Gu shoulder shook
"If I found out....that-that you lived a life...with another woman I...I would be heartbroken....but if I were to find out that...I hoped...hope that you would wait for me and that somehow.....somehow you would come looking...looking for me." Shang Gu said
"But when you came to find me.....my Yu Chen...My love was gone...." Shang Gu said to him and he took hold of her hand, turned her around to face him and he held onto her
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have treated you that way in the mortal realm, I should've loved you more in the mortal realm and given you more memories than those boring days." Yuan Feng said to her and she cried even harder
"You Should've looked at me, told me sweet nothing, and smiled more at me!" Shang Gu said to him
"You should've held on a little longer! You should've ascended! You should've waited for me!" Shang Gu said to him as tears streamed down her face and he quickly pulled her in, embracing her. Shang Gu clenched his back and cried
"Yes, I should've waited longer. I should've ascended to immortality in search of you." Yuan Feng said to her
"Wh-Why didn't you let me into your palace?" Shang Gu asked still crying and he sighed
"I didn't want to have you to disturb my training." Yuan Feng said to her
"Then why are you here?" She asked him
"I went to calm down Bai Jue and followed you when you left." Yuan Feng said to her
"I haven't seen you in so long, I just wanted to stare at you for a while longer." Yuan Feng said to her
"I visited your palace every day but Bai Guan wouldn't let me in." Shang Gu said to him and he nodded
"I'll take back that command and tell him to let you in." Yuan Feng said to her
"You're not allowed to ignore me from now on." Yuan Feng said to her and she look up at him with her red eyes
"You are not allowed to ignore me either. You ignore me at the banquet hall during the celebration of Qi'Er." Shang Gu said to him and he nodded
"I didn't want to but I did say that I wouldn't bother you anymore and Chang Ge said that I should put some distant between us." Yuan Feng said to her and she pulled away from him
"...I shouldn't talk to you anymore." Shang Gu said to him but he held onto her
"What is it? We should talk things through instead of misunderstanding each other." Yuan Feng reminded her and she looked at him
"You and Chang Ge are getting married soon, we shouldn't do this." Shang Gu said to him and he chuckled as he pulled her back into his embrace
"It seems like being a lotus for too long is not good for you my love." Yuan Feng said to her and she hit his back
"What do you mean?" Shang Gu asked him
"What I mean is that I am not the man that she will marry." Yuan Feng said to her and she looked up at Yuan Feng
"Then who?" Shang Gu asked him
"Tian Qis married with a son, I'm infatuated with you and Bai Jue just returned. So who else can she be marrying?" Yuan Feng asked her
"Qing Mu? No way." Shang Gu said and he nodded
"With my help, the two of them got together about 900 years ago while you were confining yourself into your palace." Yuan Feng said to her and she nodded as she hugged him in relief
"Shall we head back to your palace?" Yuan Feng asked her as he rest his chin on her head
"Right. We should head back to our own palace." Shang Gu said but he shook his head
"Prepare a room for me in your palace." Yuan Feng said to her and she looked at him in surprise
"True god Yuan Feng please pull yourself together. I am a high goddess and a single goddess, why would I let a god stay in my palace for no reason?" Shang Gu asked him and he smiles
"Consider it a place for your husband to be." Yuan Feng said to her and she chuckled
"I've spent so many hundreds of years apart from you, I want to stay right next to you from now on." Yuan Feng said to her and she smile
"Then why don't you just live with me." Shang Gu said to him and he look at her as if asking her to dare him
"Remember those days when you and I sleep in the same room, drinking out from the same teapot and just being in the same room?" Shang Gu asked him and he smile at her as he recall those memories
"But they will talk about you." Yuan Feng said to her and she chuckled
"Who would dare talk behind the back of a true god and the daughter of the forefather of creation?" Shang Gu asked him and he chuckled
"Then it shall be as my princess said." Yuan Feng said to her, she knew how silly he could be since he had tried this way to make her smile since they'd reunited and now she was free to smile at his silliness.
"That's a matter of facts." Shang Gu said to him and he smile as he climbed onto the pond rim
"Shall we?" He asked her as he extended his hand toward her and she took it
The two of them walked hand in hand back to her palace, it was late, there was no one around to see the two of them; no one but one. Chang Ge was on the lookout for Shang Gu on top of her own roof when she noticed the two of them walking back to the Four-season Palace and into the Spring Palace.
"Finally you're also able to find your happy ending." Chang Ge said in a whisper to Yuan Feng as she climbed down her roof only to be met with a pair of stern eyes
"How many times have I told you that you need to conduct yourself properly as a goddess?" Qing Mu asked her and she chuckled
