Su Ming looked at the true god with a smile, as he got up to greet the true god but the Qing Mu who was as calm as still water is now like a rising tide; ready to drown everyone in his path.
"I would've gone to visit your palace but I heard from Chang Ge that you're a busy god, thus I didn't pay you a visit since we are also quite busy as well." Su Ming said to Qing Mu
"So I see." Qing Mu said to him and the little god bow
"As it's about time for me to head back to the spirit realm, I'll be on my way." Su Ming said to the true god, Qing Mu finally smiled at him as if Qing Mu had won.
"I won't see you off." Qing Mu said to Su Ming
"I'll walk you out." Chang Ge said to Su Ming as she got up from her seat but as she was about to walk over toward Su Ming, Qing Mu took hold of her arm
"Wait." Qing Mu said to her and she turned to look at him a little puzzled
"Yes?" Chang Ge asked him and he let go of her with an awkward look but he cleared his throat
"I've something to talk to you about." Qing Mu said to her and she nodded
"I'm sure it can wait till I come back." Chang Ge said but Qing Mu refused
"This is urgent." Qing Mu said to her with a stern voice, lost with nothing else to say Chang Ge turned to look at Su Ming
"It's alright, I'll see you tomorrow at the Phoenix Kingdom." Su Ming said to her and Chang Ge nodded
"I should be able to head out to the spirit realm first thing in the morning." Chang Ge said to him and he nodded as he headed out of her Fall palace, Once Su Ming was out of sight Chang Ge turned around to look at Qing Mu
"Are you alright? This is not like you." Chang Ge said to him and he looked at her in disbelief
"Where are you going tomorrow?" Qing Mu asked her and she crooked her head at him, Qing Mu who had never been into her was now questioning her as if he was....jealous.
Thinking this she could feel a smile creep up on Chang Ge's face when she think that this could be him being jealous of her but she pull a poker face, maybe she had won just a little bit of his heart with all of those times that she had spent on him. But she can't let him know what she's thinking.
"I'll be visiting the spirit realm for the reports instead of Su Ming coming to the nine-heaven realm." Chang Ge said to Qing Mu, he got up and held onto her hand
"What does that even mean?! Why can't you just do the reports here and why did Er'Xi send him?" Qing Mu asked her but Chang Ge's face remained unchanged
"It means that I will be in the spirit realm for a day or so, Also A'Su has been coming here every single day. I feel bad to make him travel the long distance, so I took it as a chance to go see the spirit realm where I used to cultivate and also visit Er'Xi as well." Chang Ge said to Qing Mu and he held onto her tighter.
"You're hurting me." Chang Ge said to him and he finally let go of her arm but took it in his hand once again
"I'm sorry, does it hurt a lot?" he asked her as he examined her arm, Chang Ge pulled back her arm from him
"As you wanted nothing to do with me, I was just doing what you wanted." Chang Ge said to him and he looked at her as if to confirm what he had just heard from her
"What?" Qing Mu asked her
"I've chased after you long enough and bothered you even more, so I thought that I should move on. Since you're not going to return my feelings." Chang Ge said to him but he just looked at her
"How is this love? Didn't you say you love me and only me?" Qing Mu asked her but she just shrugged her shoulder
"All of the previous goddesses who had confessed to you all said the same to you." Chang Ge reminded him
"And when they moved on from you, you even sent them a marriage gift. It'll just be the same with me." Chang Ge said to him, he couldn't even try to imagine her being with someone other than himself.
"No." Qing Mu said to her but she only sighed
"Fang Ye, send out the true god. I won't send you out." Chang Ge said, she had never used his title while the two of them were alone, Qing Mu would always lecture her about it but now that she is using it like he wanted her to, it was like a slap to his face.
"You're not allowed to leave the nine-heaven realm without my permission." Qing Mu said before he left her palace but she sighed and went back to her pile of paperwork.
"Does he care or does he not care?" Chang Ge asked herself
"Chang Ge, you shouldn't get your hopes up too high, or you'll only hurt more when you fall." Chang Ge said to herself, reminding herself to not think too much about it since he had never said that he loved her.
The following morning Chang Ge went out of her palace as early as she could since she wanted to make the most of her time in the spirit realm, but she was stopped at the crossing gates by the guards.
"We're sorry but we can't let you pass." the guards said to her but she looked at the two of them
"Why not?" Chang Ge asked them
"Last evening, we received orders that anyone leaving the nine-heaven must have permission from a true god." one of the guards said to her and she sighed
"Let me through, I am a season goddess who is of the same standing as a true god. Who dares to stop me." Chang Ge asked the two of them and they lowered their head
"We know who you are, high goddess but we cannot let you pass since it is the order of the true god. We will be punished if we do not follow." they said to her and she nodded
"Fine. Permission from a true god correct?" Chang Ge asked them and the two nodded, Chang Ge summoned a maple leaf from thin air and wrote a message on it; sending it away after she finishes
After a few moments, Tian Qi appeared at the gates to the spirit realm and approached Chang Ge
"What is it that you needed help with?" Tian Qi asked her and she motioned toward the guards
"They said that for me to be able to leave the nine-heaven realm, I would need permission from a true god. Please do me the honor." Chang Ge said to him and he nodded
"Let goddess Chang Ge through." Tian Qi said and the two guards finally moved away from the gate to let her through.
Qing Mu thought that he had stopped her from leaving the nine-heaven realm, thus he took his time and didn't rush to visit her. But when he headed out to her palace later in the afternoon she was gone, Qing Mu wanted to let her cool down before he went to find her but she was gone.
"Where did your master go?" Qing Mu asked Fang Ye
"Master went out to the spirit realm." Fang Ye said to him, in a rage, Qing Mu rushed back to his palace and called all the guards to his palace
"I've sent out a decree to not let anyone leave the nine-heave realm and yet you all disregard my order and let the fall goddess leave the nine-heave realm!" Qing Mu said to them, they've never seen him so mad before but the two guards from the many guards bowed down
"We received permission from a true god, allowing her to pass." one of them said to him
"WHO?!" Qing Mu asked and it was at that moment that Tian Qi appeared in Qing Mu's palace
"It was me, I allowed Chang Ge to travel to the spirit realm." Tian Qi said to him but at this point, Qing Mu was boiling over the top
"Why would you do that?! Are you disregarding my words as well?!" Qing Mu asked Tian Qi, but Tian Qi didn't understand as to why his calm brother was acting up like this
"Everyone can return to their post." Tian Qi dismissed all of the guards who came in to see Qing Mu and once everyone left, Tian Qi turned to look at Qing Mu who is now sitting down at his chair with his face in his palm.
"Tell me what this is all about." Tian Qi asked him and he sighs
"I don't know." Qing Mu admitted to Tian Qi
"Does this have anything to do with Chang Ge going to the spirit realm?" Tian Qi asked him and Qing Mu looked up at him
"Did you know that she was meeting up with a man all this time?" Qing Mu asked him ,Tian Qi looked at his brother for a while and he could see the distress in Qing Mu's eyes
"Brother, you've never let any of the other goddesses bother you in any way before. What's the difference between Chang Ge and the goddess before her? All of the goddesses before chased after you for a while and they all backed away once you showed no interest in them and it's just the same thing happening again. Why so concerned?" Tian Qi asked him
"That's true but I....I got used to having her around and when I think that she would be smiling the same way at another man, I just want to destroy him!" Qing Mu said to Tian Qi and he nodded
"Brother I think you're in love." Tian Qi said to him and Qing Mu slowly looked up at Tian Qi
"IN LOVE? ME? IMPOSSIBLE." Qing Mu denied it, he got up from his chair and walked out of the room but deep down he knew that he had indeed fallen in love with her but Chang Ge now has a change of mind. What would he do?
