Chi Wu led them to the village where he met with Shang Gu, it was no longer the same as it used to be because it had become a thriving town.
"Why are we here?" Hou Chi asked him and Hou Chi smiled at her
"Yes, this town used to be where me and my mother lived before we went to the nine-heaven realm." Chi Wu said to her and Hou Chi smiled at her
"But why are we here though?" Hou Chi asked him and he smiled
"There is a portal here that's connected to the demon realm, so instead of going to the actual gate, we can just use the portal that's here." Chi Wu said to her and Hou Chi nodded
"Does that mean that the other demons use this portal as well?" Hou Chi asked him but he shook his head
"This portal was and is not known to the others, no one knows about this portal other than me." Chi Wu said to her, Hou Chi nodded
The two of them made their way towards a temple
"This was and is still the temple that worshiped the Spring goddess, my mother used to be a loyal servant of this temple; a willow tree spirit that took care of this temple." Chi Wu said to her and Hou Chi remembered the willow spirit that was always in the main library of the four-season palace.
"Here." Chi Wu said to Hou Chi, Chi Wu opened the door to the temple but there was no portal
"Where is the portal?" Hou Chi asked him
"It's behind the statue of Master Shang gu." Chi Wu said to her and Hou Chi chuckled
"I'm glad that the portal is nearby, but how come only you knew of this portal?" Hou Chi asked him and he smiled at her shyly
"I might not look it, but I'm a prince of the demon clan. My father was the former demon lord, in the demon realm my father had many wives and my mother was just one of the many. When she passed away one of my brothers took me in, he was the one who made this portal for me, he is someone you can trust." Chi Wu said to her and she sighed
"If you say so, shall we get going?" Hou Chi asked him and the two of them went through the portal. Once the two of them walked through the portal, they came face-to-face with a grim-looking forest.
"Is this the right place?" Hou Chi asked him and he nodded
"Yes, this is the right place. This is the garden that I grew up in." Chi Wu said to her but Hou Chi looked around the so-called garden
"You grew up here? In this dark place?" Hou Chi asked him and he chuckled
"You said the same thing as Zhu Zi, but yes I grew up here. This is the east garden of my brother's palace and it's where I spend my free time." Chi Wu said to her and she nodded
"Let's go see my brother." Chi Wu said to her as he led the way to a dark-looking palace. On the way to the palace, there was no one, not even a guard but it seemed to be normal since Chi Wu didn't seem to think it weird. Once the two of them arrived at the main gate door, Chi Wu knocked three times before he stopped and knocked another two times. Hou Chi looked at him, as she was about to ask him why he did so, the door swung open and a smile played on his face
"Come." Chi Wu said to her and brought Hou Chi into the demon prince's palace, Chi Wu walked over to the mansion but he didn't knock
"Since you're here, why don't you come in." the voice behind the door said to them, Hou Chi didn't know but the voice that she heard seemed to belong to a young woman yet when Chi Wu opened the door and the person standing inside was not a woman but a young man.
"Brother." Chi Wu said to the young man, the young man also smiled at him and then looked at her for a while
"What is the winter goddess doing here?" the prince asked her and she tilted her head as she stared at him; finding it hard to believe that this person was a man and not a woman.
"You're a woman." Hou Chi said to the prince and he chuckled as he nodded at her
"I thought that it was just Chi Wu so I didn't conceal my voice but it seems like you've got me." The prince said as he waved his hand and the person changed into a young woman. One as beautiful as any of the fairies in the nine-heaven.
"To compete for the throne of my father, my mother raised me as a son. No one other than Chi Wu knows that I'm a woman, after my mother passed I kept up the facade to keep myself and Chi Wu safe. I did not mean to trick the winter goddess, please do not blame my brother." The princess of the demon clan said to her and she nodded
"I understand. I've come here to talk to you about the possible war between the two clans." Hou Chi said to her and she nodded
"The one that took the throne is not any of my brothers, it is actually our uncle. Even though there are about 15 of us none of his sons got the throne." the princess said to her and she nodded
"And what is your name?" Hou Chi asked her and she bowed to her
"My name is Da Qi." Da Qi said to her and she smiled
"Da Qi; taking time to become great or taking time to grow up." Hou Chi said to the princess and Da Qi smile
"A name befitting the person." Hou Chi said to her and she thanked Hou Chi
"Tell me more about this uncle." Hou Chi said to her and Da Qi smile
"Come this way." Da Qi said to Hou Chi as she led the two of them into a lounge room, in the room there were chairs and stands next to each chair but more than that there was a map of the mortal realm, the demon realm, and all of the map of each realm on the wall.
"I've managed to convince all of my 13 brothers to stand behind me to take down our uncle because I think that he coveted the throne and poisoned our father and tricked him into handing the throne over to my uncle." Da Qi said to her and Hou Chi agreed
"I'll lend you a hand." Hou Chi said to her and she smile
"Thank you." Dai Qi said to Hou Chi
