Hou Chi walked through the gates of the demon realm into the mortal realm, feeling excited about the freedom that she was feeling at that moment but she knew that she should hurry to the spirit realm and head back to the nine-heaven realm. Since she shouldn't leave her post for too long.
As she fought to focus on the main purpose of her travel she rushed towards the spirit realm gates. As she walked through the gates of the spirit realm, there was a big gate, and standing at the gate was the gate's keeper.
Hou Chi approached the guards, thinking that they would let her walk through the gates but instead, she was stopped by the guards
"WHO GOES THERE?!" the four gatekeepers asked her but Hou Chi smiled sweetly at the four of them
"I'm only here to visit the spirit realm, I meant no harm." Hou Chi said but the four of them took out their weapons and pointed at her
"We can't let you in until you tell us who you are!" one of them said to her and she sighed as she smiles
"I thought that you would know by my physical being, but." Hou Chi said and with the wave of her hand, she changed her clothing, putting her hair up, once the four of them saw the emblem on her clothing, the four kneeled down.
"We were rude towards the high goddess! Please forgive us!" the four of them said to Hou Chi
"It's fine. It's fine. It is good that you all are keeping watch over the spirit gates." Hou Chi said but it made the four of them cower even more
"We were rude towards the winter goddess, please punish us." they said to her but she shook her head, she was probably younger than these guards and she was never comfortable with how the others always felt the need to ask for punishment from her when they were rude to her.
As Hou Chi was about to tell them that there was no need for punishment since the four of them were only just doing their job, a voice spoke from behind her.
"Who dares to exert their authority towards the four guards!?" his voice boomed and the four of them bowed down in greeting to the voice but Hou Chi's head was starting to hurt and since she didn't know who this person was, he might as well be an important god and will probably lecture her for being a snob.
"Greetings to high god." the four of them said to the person behind her but Hou Chi scratched her head without looking back at the man behind her
"Who are you to be so high and mighty in front of these celestial guards?!" he asked Hou Chi once more but the four guards tried to defend her
"The goddess didn't do anything wrong." the guard in red said as another guard also jumped in to defend her as well
"That's right, it was us who were in the wrong." the guard in blue said to him yet it only seemed to anger him more, as he demanded that her to talk
"I demand you to tell me who you are!" he said to Hou Chi, as she wanted this to end and for the guards to get up from the ground she turned around to face this high god.
"I am the winter goddess and who might you be?" Hou Chi asked him but there was no reply from him nor was there any more lecture from him unlike she expected.
"Which way to the winter section of the spirit realm?" Hou Chi asked and the guards pointed to the left
"Thank you." Hou Chi thanked the four of them but as she was about to head through the gate, one of the guards handed her a found mirror-like object
"This is a device that would show you where you are in the spirit realm and it also has the whole spirit realm's territory in it as well. I hope this device will be of help to you." he said to Hou Chi and she smiled at the older gentlemen
"Thank you, I will come back this way and will return this to you." Hou Chi said as she vanished into the gates of the spirit realm, she headed towards the winter section of the spirit realm
The back of the woman standing there was of a woman with white hair, one that seemed so familiar to him but he told himself that his lover could never be so haughty. Yet when the woman turned around to face him, her hair fluttered in the wind even though her hair was of a different color or her eye color. Bai Jue would've never forgotten that face of his lover that he longed to see.
It was her, she was standing right in front of him but he froze up and when he came to it she was gone.
"Who-where did she go?" Bai Jue asked the four gods
"Goddess Hou Chi asked about the winter section of the spirit realm, that's probably where she is headed." The guard in blue said to him and he nodded as he quickly walked through the spirit realm gate as well; heading towards the winter section of the spirit realm.
Bai Jue rushed after her, he didn't have to wait too long since she was making her way to the winter section, also since she was the only one here with white hair.
Bai Jue has never paid attention to the goddesses or gods around him or their news or else he would've seen the paintings of her and the other three season goddesses.
"Hou Chi!" Bai Jue called out to her, the goddess stopped in her tracks as she turned around to see who it was that called out to her. When Hou Chi noticed that it was the man from the gate she sighed but she looked at him
"Look here, I-" Hou Chi said to him but before she could say anything to him at all, the strange man pulled her into his arms, holding onto her tightly.
"I've missed you so much." Bai Jue said as he hugged her closely but Hou Chi was not about to let him have his way with her, Hou Chi sighed as she used her powers and slipped out of his arms.
"I think that you've got the wrong person." Hou Chi said to him and turned away from Bai Jue, making her way back to where she was heading but Bai Jue followed behind closely since he was doing nothing to harm her or the others in the spirit realm; she could do nothing but keep her distance from him while she make her way towards the winter section of the spirit realm.
