Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: Heavenly Dragons

Days quickly passed, their routines didn't change much. Mordred's group were mingling with the devil heiresses. Though Sairaorg and Latia weren't one.

The former, losing his position as the current head of the Baels decided that he can't be one due to lacking the power of destruction.

"Come on Dulio, you can do it." Mordred was spurring on the blonde who was now a budding teen.

Zenith Tempest is the most temperamental of the Longinus. It simply wants to lash out against everything like a natural disaster.

Mordred dodged by melting into the shadows. It is the fruit of his efforts in assimilating Apophis.

But he was in a deadlock, the dragon didn't want to talk to him or try to influence him at all. Unlike Grendel who constantly made attempts to take over him.

Leading to the Crime Force dragon fusing with him much, much faster. So in the two years that passed. He didn't have any luck with the evil dragon.

Lightning bolts, shards of ice, blades of wind, earth spikes, and blazing flames were littering their training area.

"Dulio's destructive tendencies sure is a spectacle to watch. I can't get tired of it." Vali nodded in satisfaction at his powers.

If she tries to get in that storm, she would be torn apart by the raging elements.

"Nya, but it's pretty difficult for him to perfect what they're working on. It's been a long time already nya." Kuroka was worried about Dulio and Mordred that were getting frustrated by the day.

"Yeah, Mordred-nii hasn't made progress with his new evil dragon much. While Dulio has been working on controlled weather for a long time." Shirone sighed.

"Concentrate, condense." Dulio sweated as he tried to will his Longinus to obey.

But it came out as another burst of elements that would get his allies in trouble as well.

"Damn it!" Dulio dropped on his knees, a lot of his mana was being used to try and control the powers of Zenith Tempest.

"It's fine Dulio, progress needs time." Mordred said with a frown. He tried to make the shadows to devour something like Apophis.

Tiamat told them about the powers of the dragon. His primordial water can melt anything, only the strongest of magical barriers and auras can defend against it.

While his control over shadows is on par with one of the Longinus, Canis Lykaon. The wolf that grants the user control over it.

But Apophis' shadows also has the same corrosive properties of primordial water. But when Mordred tried it, the shadows are like a weak acid at best.

He's only wasting mana by trying to use it offensively. "Hah, I'm having problems too. I can meld into the shadows and move around by using other ones, but that's about it. Or stitch another's shadow and paralyze them."

Dulio gave a wry smile at that. "I guess we're being blocked by a wall huh?" They both sighed and Tiamat patted their heads.

"It's okay boys, you can't always get what you want." Tiamat assured them that they would get what they want.

"But mom, how can we kill the gods who can arrogantly stroll around if we stagnate?" Mordred pouted at her.

"You have all the time in the world, they're immortal. You can kill them all later." Tiamat rolled her eyes at his enthusiasm.

"Only you would say that like it would be a given, Mordred." Lavinia smiled at him and ruffled his hair.

"Of course it will be, they think they own humans. I am not only a proud dragon, I am also a pure human, technically." Mordred furrowed his brows.

"I cannot idle by and let humanity be sitting ducks against the supernatural. What if Dulio or you got picked up by unsavory people when you were vulnerable? There was a high chance of that happening." Mordred scowled upon imagining it.

"Ohh, Mo-kun. Worrying about your onee-san~" Lavinia put him in between her chest. Everybody knows that he loves to rub his face on Tiamat's.

"Hmm, of course I would. You are a part of my kin Lavinia." Mordred said as a matter of fact that made her coo in affection.

"Tch, she's using her tits to seduce him to the nee-san faction." Vali, Kuroka, and Shirone glared at her.

"Now, now. Do you love your nee-san more now Mordred?" Tiamat raised her hands and he immediately pried himself off of Lavinia.

"Ara~ Tiamat isn't playing fair." Lavinia put a hand on her cheek, smiling sweetly.

Tiamat only gave her a smug smirk while Mordred hugged her.

"Stinking brats, you might be Mordred's kin. But he came from my nest." Tiamat announced dominance and everybody had to admit defeat.

"Mordred sure is loved." Dulio chuckled and he nodded. "Umu, I am lucky. Unlike my father Arthur, his daughter rebelled against him. Must have been a problem on his end when I love mom this much."

"Well, it must've been. Maybe he didn't love her like I do you!" Tiamat squeezed him like a teddy bear.

"Oh? I got a message from Ise." Mordred's phone gave him a notification.

"When are you going to turn her into your kin anyway Mordred? She's my rival, I want to train with her." Vali grinned.

"I don't know, but most likely soon. If we wait longer, she'll be left in the dust. I doubt Albion would want that." Mordred pointed out and the two dragons agreed.

"Umu, that is correct. It won't exactly be fair to Ddraig, I won't accept such an easy win when my wielder has been receiving a lot of help." Albion talked through her wings.

"Yes, we can't let her be idle. Someone might also notice her draconic aura. No matter how weak it is, the supernatural would get a whiff of it. Especially because she's not suppressing it." Mordred nodded.

He then read the message and he suddenly frowned. They can feel his displeasure from miles away as a third eye appeared on his forehead.

"Mordred, what is the problem? Why are you upset?" Tiamat got worried. Apophis has been behaving.

So she thought that the dragon is only biding his time to find an opportunity.

"It's Rin, Ise said that she's moving to England." Mordred squinted his eyes and was thinking that the bastard Touji wanted to get her away from them.

"What? Come on, let's visit them." Tiamat teleported them to Kuoh and they went to the Shidou household.

There, they saw that Ise was crying with Irina. "Mo-kun! Uwahhh! I'm going to miss you!" The honey haired girl latched onto him.

"Rin... Why are you moving away?" Mordred patted her back and he shot a glare towards Touji who immediately waved his hands.

"Dad is going to be needed in England for his work. And mom's parents are getting old." Irina sniffled.

"Rin-chan, I'm going to miss you! We were the original trio!" Ise went up to them and hugged them tightly as well.

"It is out of our control Mordred." Vali sighed. Shirone looked a bit sad at the thought too.

"We can always write to them." Dulio suggested with a smile.

"Un, you guys won't forget each other right?" Lavinia patted their heads and the two humans hugged her.

Though Ise was acting a bit weird, she gave Lavinia a sniff, then she calmed down.

"Y-yes, we can write letters! I won't forget all of you! So don't forget about me." Irina smiled at them and they nodded.

"Of course we won't. Old man Touji will make sure our letters arrive to you, won't he?" Mordred gave him a sharp look.

"O-of course I will." He gulped nervously. Touji wanted to train Irina to be an exorcist so he had to bring her with him. So he prayed that they won't react violently to that at all.

"Okay, Irina. We'll visit you sometimes too, I'll even bring Ise with me. We have private jets that is collecting dust anyways." Mordred reworded their magic teleportation.

"R-really? You'd even use that much money to go visit?" Irina got emotional again.

"Of course, you're our friend." Mordred smiled at her and Touji paled. 'Crap, they're definitely going to learn that she will be an exorcist.'

"Goodbye Irina, we will definitely meet again. If you ever find a girl named Jeanne, be her friend. She's a friend we made in Europe." Mordred reminded her.

He already knew that Irina would be trained to be an exorcist. And the two would definitely meet once in the Vatican where Jeanne is being imprisoned by the old coots of the church.

'Hmm, should I just kidnap Jeanne? She's getting unhappier by the day there.' Mordred had some dangerous thoughts.

The Shidou family entered a cab and they went away, having to catch a flight.

Ise was still distraught. And Mordred thought that she would be left alone in Kuoh. Touji might be the church's lapdog like the rest of them. But he protected Ise due to being in proximity of Irina.

"Ise... Remember our promise?" Mordred looked at her in the eyes.

"Me being a dragon? But that's silly." Ise was confused. She has grown up as well and turning into a legendary being is just a myth in her eyes.

"Yeah, do you want to? There are powerful beings out there Ise. And they will want to take you. Turn you into a slave." Mordred squinted his eyes.

"W-wha? Is that true?" She got scared and Tiamat created a perception barrier.

"I am, why? Because we are dragons ourselves." Mordred and his group released their draconic forms.

"W-woah... That's so cool... Wait, wait! You're dragons!? Do you breathe fire too!?" Ise's eyes shone like stars.

"Yes, we do. Lavinia specializes in ice though. And Dulio can use all the elements." Mordred shrugged.

"Calm down Ise, you're in danger. You possess a dragon's soul that is sealed in a weapon, capable of killing gods." Mordred held her shoulders.

"W-wait, I have a what in me? A dragon living rent free inside of me!?" Ise blinked dumbly.

"Yes, he's the Welsh dragon; Ddraig y Goch. You possess one of the 13 Longinus, a sacred gear that can kill gods." Mordred explained patiently.

"Then... He has to pay rent!" Ise was outraged. Everybody was dumbstruck at her words.

They laughed and Mordred nodded at her. "Yeah, he will pay you rent if you awaken him. He will give you powers like in Dragso ball." Mordred chuckled.

"Like a super vegetare? Wow, is it similar to Tarro and Lemogras?" Ise remembered the MC's of Dragso ball.

"Yes, like them." Morded rolled his eyes. "Then I want to be like you guys too!"

Mordred took out his remaining four pawns. "Are you sure? Just like Tarro and Lemogras. You'll have to train so hard that you'll cough up blood to get stronger." Mordred warned her.

"I'll... I'll have to do it! My blood is pumping! It just feels right." Ise pumped her fist.

"It seems that Ddraig is influencing you already." Mordred uttered the ritual and sunk in the pawns inside her chest.

After a minute, a red gauntlet appeared on her left hand. Crimson scales adorned her body and her eyes turned green.

Red horns crowned her head and red wings with a tan membrane sprouted from her back.

"W-wow... I feel so strong!" She looked at her new form in wonder.

"So you are my new wielder? And what is this? The white one is here too?" Ddraig started talking through the green jewel on her gauntlet.

"You! You stupid lizard, you're living inside me rent free, I demand rent!" Ise shouted and Albion laughed.

"It seems your new wielder is energetic, red one." Albion guffawed.

Ddraig was about to quip back, but he felt that there was someone else there that was familiar.

"Hello Ddraig~" Tiamat said with a sweet voice. "Oi! Run away! Tiamat is here!" Ddraig shouted to Ise with urgency.

"What? Aunt Tiamat is great! She gives us lunch money. But it is too much, being gold bars and all." Ise huffed at him.

"You won't be saying that when she sends you to search for her treasure!" Ddraig started sweating.

"And whose fault is that? Hmph, I will send you two to search for it later. It is your fate as the red dragons who lost my treasure!" Tiamat growled and Ise whimpered.

"You can't run anyway red one. Ise and Vali are my kin, my servants and family." Mordred commented.

"Who are you?" Ddraig could feel his overbearing aura and wondered.

"I am Mordred Pendragon, your wielder's master. And I forbid you two to fight due to your rivalry. At least until Ise gets up to speed." Mordred commanded.

"This is rich, we are under a Pendragon, Albion." Ddraig didn't expect that one bit.

"Now, we will borrow you from your parents. Tell that you'll be learning martial arts." Mordred pulled her and suppressed her dragon traits.

"O-oh. I have to train to be like Lemogras and Tarro! Do you have a hyperbolic time chamber? A gravity field that can get to 10000 G's!?" Ise's mind was running wild.

"We don't have a hyperbolic time chamber, that uses up too much mana. But we do have gravity magic." Vali smirked at her.

Everybody else winced except Mordred. He loved physical exercise. Tiamat beat it into him ever since he was a month old.

"Oh yeah!" Ise led the group to her house excitedly. Not having an idea what was in store for her.

A little later, she was panting like a dog. "Hah, hah, what the hell is this?" She felt like she was going to die.

Her lungs were on fire and her legs feel like it's being torn apart. Her core muscles were sore like a bitch too.

"Guhahaha! Suffer! Like how we did!" Vali laughed like a maniac while pointing at her.

"Time for your evasion training." Tiamat announced and Vali had an evil smirk on her face.

"Good luck Ddraig, you will need it." Albion prayed for Ddraig and her wielder. Tiamat's dragon slaying abilities only grew as Mordred formed his mana core upon defeating Grendel.

They were able to cycle their mana with each other much more efficiently.

"I feel my spine tingling..." Ise shuddered. "Poor Ise nya, she's not going to like this one bit." Kuroka shook her head in pity.

"Do your best Ise! You have to! You can't get hit by anything!" Lavinia's worried expression scared her.

"I don't dislike a lot of things... But evasion training is hell." Dulio had a dark expression.

Lavinia and Dulio were magic types, they were lagging behind everyone else in their physical traits. Even though they're still stronger than the typical magic focused beings.

"Good luck Ise, your path to become a super vegetare begins now." Morded smiled at her and he also prepared to dodge.

Thanks for reading everyone, I forgot about his rooks actually. But I decided they would be servants too. He has enough Longinus wielders imo. Anyways, ciao.
