After returning home, Mordred saw Ise and Vali that were fidgeting around.
He waited for what they would have to say. "Hey, you apologize first. It was your idea, throwing it away you said, it will be fine you said." Ise rolled her eyes.
"You agreed to it, you idiot. Now Mordred is angry with us." Vali hissed at her.
"W-well, we're both responsible for our mistakes. Come on, he's right there." Ise elbowed her and Vali glanced at him.
"Un... Come on, we do it at the same time." Vali pulled her and they nervously walked up to him.
"M-Mordred, we're sorry. We won't do it again, it was a mistake that we have learned from." They both said at the same time and they kneeled down.
"Okay, I didn't teach you well that it would be important for the future too." Mordred nodded at them.
"We're really sorr- wait? You forgive us?" Ise blinked and Vali pinched her.
"Idiot! Don't question it, Mordred already said it was fine." She whispered to her.
"Thanks Mordred, we finished it too. You don't have to worry, the others set us straight." Vali smiled at him.
"Well done, I will explain it to you better next time whenever we do something important." Mordred hugged them and they beamed.
"But you can't touch me for a week, that's final. A king isn't partial with his judgement. I am not biased, it will be unfair to Dulio, Kuroka, and Shirone who did their job without question." Mordred announced.
"Nooooo! I thought you'd forget!" Ise did an orz and Vali slumped down. "H-his firm butt... I can't touch it for a week."
"Serves you right nyahahaha!" Kuroka gloated and they got even more depressed.
"Well done honey, you were both affectionate and firm." Tiamat hugged him and he nodded.
"I got advice from Lavinia, she's the 2nd best after you mom." Mordred smiled at the mage and she accepted the praise.
Nobody would be able to top Tiamat after all. Mordred's love for her was unstoppable. She taught him how to be a dragon and trained him to be strong. Something that a dragon would love.
"Now, I'll explain more about why we were doing that. Dulio will be able to establish more orphanages with the large income of contracts." Mordred knew his desires and Dulio didn't thought of that.
"Wow... You won't like take a cut and just let me do whatever with it?" Dulio was hopeful. He already received some contracts and was making huge bucks.
"Yes, of course. I haven't established my kingdom yet. I won't tax you, yet." Mordred nodded sagely and Dulio laughed.
"Thanks Mordred, this means a lot to me." Mordred nodded.
"Shirone can buy her treats herself, as a dragon. You should get your desires with your own effort." Mordred pointed at her.
"Nya! I can buy anything?" She bounced up and down and was ecstatic.
"Kuroka can save money for a rainy day. You want to do so for your family right?" He knew that she wanted kids, due to the two of them being the only Nekoshous.
"Yes nya~ you'll give me lots of kittens after all. And so that I can spoil Shirone." Kuroka smiled.
"Ise, Vali, I do not know what you want to do with what you can get with your contracts. But I have ideas." Mordred shrugged.
"Vali, you can get information about strong beings. I know that you love to fight. Your contractor can also be a member of another faction that will be able to teach you new magic and moves." Mordred pointed out and she went wide eyed.
"Y-yeah, that's genius... I can make connections and learn from other factions as my payment." She valued it much more now.
"Ise, I know you love manga and other merchandise. Your household isn't that rich right? You can splurge now, help your parents too." Ise was speechless.
"I can? Thank you for the opportunity Mordred. I won't squander it..." She was really thankful.
She knows how hard her parents work. Ise saw their expressions whenever she asks for something. And she understood that it was pain. That they can't give their child what she wanted.
"See? It's not just some job to annoy you. And I also found an interesting individual." Mordred smirked when he remembered Meredith.
"Ohh? Who did you find?" Tiamat saw him create the magic circles. It gauged the magic powers of those who summoned them.
"She's a sacred gear wielder, a member of the royal family of England. Though she is an illegitimate child. But she has a holy feeling inside of her. Similar to Caliburn, weaker. But strong, nevertheless." Mordred nodded in satisfaction.
"Ohhh! Are you going to add her into your group?" Tiamat was happy for him.
"I'm pretty sure it's not a Longinus, but it's strong. It has potential to be one. I hope you'll take her in as a bishop actually." Mordred requested her.
"Ohh, honey. You don't really ask anything of me. And if she has potential to be a Longinus user. Then I'll take her in no problem! Her sacred gear is holy too. Our greatest threat is the filthy devils, so that's a plus for me." Tiamat smiled as she explained.
The devils have been trying to give her work. Of course they can't let them make her do things.
Sirzechs and Ajuka are the only devils in the underworld that can beat her. And that's a stretch as well. If Mordred's safety is compromised, she would most likely enter outrage again.
"Thanks mom. How about you? What do you want? You never ask me things too." Mordred wanted to repay the favor.
"Just be you sweetie, that's enough for me." Tiamat ruffled his hair and he nodded.
While they were being sappy, Cleria called them because she got a piece of information that is quite important.
"Lavinia, we found a wizard of Oz. Her name is Augusta, she might have some information about Glenda." Cleria's voice resounded and Lavinia went wide eyed.
"Really! Thank you very much Cleria!" Lavinia was ecstatic. The wizards of Oz are quite secretive. And their locations were hard to find.
"Umu, my goons are efficient as expected." Mordred was proud of them for finding a lead on Lavinia's wish.
"Meet with us here in Germany, she's near here. We already traveled to the place she was last seen in. But we didn't try to find her or make contact." Masaomi added and he gave them their coordinates.
"Good luck kids, I'll lend you Kuroka and Shirone as well." Tiamat waved them goodbye.
"We will be fine mom." Mordred snapped his fingers and they teleported to Germany.
"Ohh, you're here fast. That's good, the trail might get cold." Cleria nodded at them.
"So? Where do we find her?" Lavinia wanted to get to the wizard quickly. Ever since she was fourteen, she tried to get some information on Glenda.
"Mephisto actually met up with her. As you know, he's a chairman of the mage association board. They exchanged information about sacred gears and some magic ingredients." Masaomi explained.
"Let's go and locate her, you got a sample of her magical signature?" Mordred asked.
"Yeah, give me a sec." Cleria gave Mordred a sample of Augusta's magic and he opened eyes a bit later after concentrating.
"She has a holy signature..." He frowned, it was strong too. And that came from just a little whiff of her magic signature that Cleria tried to copy.
"Really? Do you think that she got a holy artifact from Grauzauberer?" Masaomi was speculating.
"It does not matter, we find her and Lavinia will talk to her a bit. She will be receptive upon knowing that Lavinia is Glenda's apprentice." Mordred waved it off.
"Yeah, Glenda was really nice. I think the other wizards of Oz are too. Come on, let's go." Lavinia was eager and Mordred started to activate his mana heart.
His senses went into overdrive. His eyes turning into slits as he tried to look for a holy signature. "Over there, a couple of miles north." Mordred flew and they followed him.
"Your senses are as sharp as ever Mo-kun, it's really impressive. You're like a blood hound when it concerns magic." Lavinia chuckled.
"Of course, he's the best after all." Vali huffed in pride.
"We dragons are the pinnacle of magic. I expect you all to be the same in due time." Mordred could feel that their target was near. So he gestured for Lavinia to go up to her.
"Okay, here goes nothing." Lavinia breathed in deeply and hoped that she was going to get some information about her master.
Augusta was a typical looking wizard with a robe and a witch hat. She looked to be in her older years like Glenda.
"Hello, I am Lavinia Reni. Are you Augusta, a wizard of Oz?" She walked up to the older woman and she looked at her with interest. Noticing her huge magic reserves due to Tiamat's training.
"Why yes, what is it Lavinia?" Augusta smiled at her.
"I'm actually Glenda's apprentice, during my time in Grauzauberer, I learned that she disappeared due to an attack. Do you have any information on her? Please, anything at all." Lavinia was hopeful.
"Glenda huh, yes. I actually do." Augusta now remembered who Lavinia was.
"Really!? Thank goodness, I was looking for her for years!" Lavinia sighed in relief.
"You were that girl that's the possessor of a Longinus right? She talked to me a lot about you." Augusta chuckled.
"You're close with her then?" Lavinia was now more confident about Augusta's Intel.
"Of course, she researched you. A nine year old with some talent that she found. But when she learned everything she could about your interesting sacred gear. She sent you to Grauzauberer so she could cut ties with you." Augusta sneered.
"W-what!?" Lavinia gasped and she couldn't believe it.
"Heh, you are a naive girl. The wizards of Oz are only interested in one thing, learning everything they can about magic and its secrets." Augusta informed her and Lavinia blinked dumbly.
"No, no! Master Glenda was kind! She took me in when noone else wanted to! Even when I didn't have a magical background!" Lavinia was beginning to release cold mist.
"Don't be stupid girl, how about I prove it to you?" Augusta casted a spell and a magic circle appeared on her hand.
"Hey Glenda, that Lavinia girl is pestering me. Looking for you, how about you tell her off?" Augusta scoffed.
"Lavinia huh? Absolute Demise was quite interesting." Glenda replied with a disinterested tone.
"M-master!? Where are you!? It isn't true right? You took care of me all those years. You got attacked and you're hiding right?" Lavinia was in denial.
"Stupid girl, you have no use for me now. I learned everything about your sacred gear. You are useless to me, your worth has depreciated. Augusta, don't call me for useless things." Glenda ended the call and Lavinia dropped to her knees.
"You, it seems that you wizards of Oz are power hungry fools." Mordred appeared. He looked at her coldly.
His fury was rising as he heard about their conversation. He couldn't believe it at first, especially with how Lavinia describes her master.
But it seems that Lavinia was mistaken. "Huh? Who are you, kid? This doesn't concern you." Augusta glared at him and Mordred's group appeared as well.
"It does concern us, she's our family member!" Ise hissed at her.
"Lavinia is like our big sister. I wonder, how would someone from the wizards of Oz will be in a fight?" Vali released her divine dividing. Ise also took out the boosted gear.
"Longinus users!? It seems you have me in a bind." Augusta raised her hands.
"You didn't need to be hurtful, scum. You are not in a good light right now." Dulio released bubbles that looked like they contained storms.
Making a breakthrough with Zenith Tempest. Instead of forcibly controlling them, he makes bubbles that acted as barriers. Containing the wrath of Zenith Tempest.
"Zenith Tempest as well!? Forgive me, I surrender completely." She bowed.
"Tell us where Glenda is and we will release you." Mordred growled.
"Of course, she is in..." She suddenly released a spell and Lavinia who was distraught suddenly froze.
Morded breathed in quickly and released a breath attack to terminate her.
But Lavinia moved and protected Augusta with absolute demise. The doll which is her sacred gear reflected the beam of pure heat away.
"Lavinia? What are you doing?" Mordred frowned heavily.
"Kekeke, it seems that this body is brimming with power eh? How about we test it?" Violet flames appeared on Lavinia's body. Releasing a load of holy energy.
"Incinerate Anthem!?" Cleria blinked and Augusta who possessed Lavinia's body teleported her original body away.
"Heh, how about two Longinus against three? You brats are lacking experience. So how about I let you feel how an experienced wielder fights?" Augusta smirked.
Holy flames bathed the area and everybody backed off. But the flickering, violet flames licked Mordred's body as he stayed in place.
"Mordred!" Vali shouted out. Dulio and Cleria tried to extinguish it quickly, but they had no luck. Incinerate Anthem focused on its flames.
Cleria's worthlessness might be stronger now, but it's a devil's ability. And Dulio's ice and water aren't strong enough to quench the violet flames.
"You... You break Lavinia's hopes. Then you possess her body to try and fight us?" Mordred's third eye opened and they glowed silver, unlike Grendel's dull ones.
"Hmph, go on and be consumed by your rage Mordred Pendragon, this will be fun." Apophis grinned as he made his move.
Mordred's body spawned gems that had a silvery glow to them as well. The whole country of Germany felt a foreboding feeling.
An ominous aura escaped from Mordred as blackness sprouted from the ground.
The holy flames of Incinerate Anthem were being consumed by the shadows. And black fluid oozed from Mordred as everything around started to disappear out of existence.
Mordred Pendragon, commenced with an outrage. His imperial wrath has been directed to Augusta.
