"You know very well why I left you behind. It's because you lacked the capability and dedication, and that's precisely why you were never our father's favorite son. Now, if you'll excuse me," Charles stated dismissively, adjusting his mask and walking away.

Louis stood rooted to his spot, his hands tightly clenched in anger. Charles's words had cut deep, far deeper than he had anticipated. He had hoped his verbal assault would hurt Charles, but instead, it only seemed to empower him.

"That damn bastard," Louis seethed through gritted teeth.

"I despise him so much." As Louis simmered with rage, he couldn't help but feel a growing sense of inadequacy. His envy towards his younger brother had twisted into resentment, clouding his judgment and blinding him to his own shortcomings.
