Flower woke up quite early the next morning. She didn't want to get on Charles' nerves again, as it would certainly cost her her job, which she was desperately trying to avoid. She finished cooking and set the food on the table.
Charles came out from his room, smartly dressed as usual, and sat at the dining table.
"Good morning, sir," Flower greeted, but Charles didn't respond. It wasn't that he didn't hear her; he simply chose not to reply. However, Flower thought otherwise, convinced that he hadn't heard her.
"Good morning, sir," she greeted again, and he still didn't reply. She inwardly scoffed.
"Do you think I'm dumb and couldn't hear your greetings?" he asked meanly.
"No, sir," Flower stammered.
Charles eyed Flower as she shivered in fear.
"And what are you still doing here?" he questioned.
"What do you mean, sir? Should I leave?" she asked.
