Kira had gotten back home with a completely different mindset and goal. Now she could say for sure that she knows what to do next. Even though she was certain that whatever it is she does may not sit well with a lot of people, she couldn't afford to put them into consideration knowing just how much is at stake if she becomes nonchalant.
Layla had a smile on her face when her eyes met with Kira's. The look in her niece's eyes were much more different than the look she had in her eyes before she left.
She excuses herself from Luca before pulling Kira out of her house and towards Kira's own house which wasn't too far from hers.
"Welcome back from the jungle my dear." She teased jokily as soon as they arrived in Kira's bedroom.
"It feels good to be back auntie cause believe me when I say, it wasn't exactly a smooth journey." Kira replied with a small sigh.
"I'm going to assume it was worth it?" Layla said.
"Yes auntie, it definitely was worth it. Now I need you to help me with my next step." Kira replied eagerly and Layla smiled at her reassuringly.
Kira had not given her aunt the full details but she had informed her that she would be going to the silvermoon pack.
"Hold on my dear, are you really leaving for there right now? So soon?" Layla asked and Kira nodded her head in confirmation while packing her clothes.
"Kira dear, you need to explain to me in detail what exactly happened to make you decide on everything this quickly. What is going on?" Her aunt asked.
"Well, I saw the spiritual mother like you asked and it turns out, you were right about everything." She said, not bothering to go into details.
Layla huffed, "Would you get over this little to no detail replies you're giving me because I do not have enough patience for them." Layla hissed impatiently.
She walked over to where Kira was, grabbed her hands and pulled her towards the bed and made her sit.
"Now tell me what happened and I need the full details." She requested.
Kira heaved a deep sigh. "Okay fine auntie."
"You were right about the creatures cursed by the sun. According to what she explained and showed me, our kind will cease to exist if we...I mean, if I do not accept my fate and push forward with uniting our Packs." She said she paused temporarily before continuing.
"It was actually after speaking to the spiritual mother that I finally came to understand the moon goddess and her desires. The truth is, the moon goddess has appeared to me before but although she let me know who she was, I didn't completely believe it but now I believe she was indeed the one that came to me and she appeared to me for a reason." She explained and Layla is beyond shocked.
"Wait what? You mean the moon goddess appeared to you? When? Where?" She asked because according to her knowledge, no one has ever seen the moon goddess and absolutely no one knows what she looks like.
"Aunt relax." Kira chuckles lightly as her aunt was acting so worked up.
"How can I relax Kira? You met with the moon goddess. This is something that shouldn't be taken for granted." She replied excitedly, almost squealing.
Tears welled up in Layla's eyes but she quickly wiped them off.
"You really have no idea what such an honour means, do you?" She asked.
Kira scrutinized her aunt in confusion. She didn't understand why her aunt was suddenly all teary eyed.
"Aunt, you do know you're being over dramatic right now and it is definitely confusing me." Kira said.
"Kira," Layla called out before pulling Kira closer to herself and wrapping her arms around her.
"From the day you graced us with your presence on earth, I knew you were destined for greatness." Layla complimented, still feeling emotional about what she had just heard.
"Have I ever told you the story of the day you were born?" She asks calmly and Kira is even more confused.
She pulled back from her aunt's hug to face her properly. No one ever brought up her birth day as it marked the day her mother died. Her father did celebrate with her a little as he didn't want her to feel sad that she had lost her mother that same day.
"Auntie, why in the world are you suddenly bringing up this subject?" She asked with a questioning look plastered on her face..
Layla wiped the lone tears that rolled down her cheek.
"It's nothing serious my dear, it's just that the day you graced us with your presence on earth was the same day we won an ongoing war against the Silvermoon pack, something that had not happened in a long while."
"Really?"
"You're telling me, I was born when a war was actually going on?" She asked and her aunt nodded her head in confirmation.
"It was a really difficult day my dear. Your mother had a hard time giving birth to you and your uncle, Luca, got badly injured but then your birth gave the entire pack the strength to fight back because we knew we had to protect you and thankfully, we won." She explained and Kira is temporarily out of words.
"I really don't know what to say auntie." Kira replied truthfully.
Layla tucks a strand of Kira's hair behind her ear and she cupped Kira's face and kissed her on her forehead.
"I am very proud of the woman you've grown into and of who you are going to become my dear. I can tell you that anyone who is graced by the presence of the moon goddess is destined for greatness and Kira dear, I can only hope to be there for you every step of the way." Layla said and Kira frowned.
"Auntie, do not ever talk like you're dying anytime soon or going somewhere cause I won't take that from you." Kira chastised.
"So what exactly is your next step and how do you plan on going about it? You know you can always trust me to have your back and I will do anything to support you." Layla spoke.
"Well firstly, I'll be going to the silvermoon pack. That's the only thing I can think of right now although I honestly don't know what I'm going to do when I eventually get there. All I know is, I must go there as soon as possible." She replied.
"Well then, first thing's first, when you arrive in the Silvermoon territory, you need to find a way to bond with your mate." Layla tells her with a sly smile.
Kira shook her head. "Frankly, there will be nothing like bonding in the other aspect but bonding for the sake of both our packs is definitely fine for me but asides that, nothing can ever happen between us. I do not like him and I think that's not gonna change for a very long time." She declared with confidence that her decision won't ever change.
"That's what they all say until they can't stay away from each other." Layla teased and she shook her head boredly before getting up on her feet to keep packing her things so she could leave before the fall of the night.
She wanted to arrive at the Silvermoon pack before nightfall. She was nervous but she was confident that the moon goddess would guide and protect her all through.

When Kira arrived at the Silvermoon moon pack territory, she walked slower than she had ever had to walk before.
The wolves guarding the territory could already sense a Redmoon pack wolf approaching and when they approached where they were laying in ambush, they attacked her from behind.
Kira groaned in pain as she fell to the ground immediately and her shorts were immediately torn from the attack. "The audacity to come here alone!" A Silvermoon moon member spat out venomously.
He moves forward to attack her but she quickly halts him.
"Stop! I have not come here to fight!" She exclaimed.
The man who was about to attack her scoffed bitterly.
"Do you really believe that I'd buy that obvious lie? Everyone knows nothing good ever comes from sparing the lives of you worthless scumbags." He hissed.
Kira got back on her feet and dusted her shirt and shorts.
"I'm really not here to fight anyone. Just take me to your Alpha." She spoke calmly while raising her hands to show she meant no harm.
"Listen child, we've lived way longer than you have and we know this little trick of yours so believe me when I say it's not working." Another one of the guards spoke up.
"Fine, if you won't trust me at least will you believe me if I tell you I am your Alpha's mate?" She spoke, her eyes looking into the eyes of the man that had attacked her. She knew well that they would not believe her but the least she could do was try.
All five of the guards broke into guffaws as if they had just heard the most ridiculous thing on earth.
"You have got to be the most crazy Redmoon pack wolf I have ever had the displeasure of coming across." The man that had attacked her previously hissed.
"I know you might not believe this but you can go tell your Alpha that I am here and I will let you hold me captive until you get to him." She assured me.
The men looked amongst themselves first and Kira could tell they were communicating through their mind link.
"We don't want to believe you but we'll give you a chance. Just note that if you try anything funny, I promise I will end you myself, understood?" He cautioned and Kira heaved a sigh of relief. She knew the goddess had touched their hearts because getting in could never be this easy.
They tied Kira's hands together, put a piece of clothing over her face and she was dragged to the Alpha's quarters..
Damien was having a nice bath when he was informed that his attention was urgently needed.
He wondered what could be so important for them to seek his presence this late in the night..
After a few more minutes, he moved to his court where he attended to urgent and pressing matters.
"What exactly is so urgent that you had to disturb me this late?" He asked his Beta Draco, who looked a little too amused for his liking..
Draco smiled, "You will not believe what I am about to tell you." He replied, making Damien a little confused.
"I see you are in a good mood my dear friend. Do you mind telling me why I'm out here?" Damien requested.
"Well, the thing is that your arch enemy had decided to grace you with her presence on this beautiful and lovely evening." He replied and Damien was lost.
He raises his brows in a questioning manner. "Meaning?" He asked.
Draco clapped his hands and Kira entered the court with the man who had attacked and dragged her all the way here.
Immediately Damien's eyes met Kira and her eyes met his too, their inner wolves speaking up before they could, "We meet again mate." Damon and Kiana chorus simultaneously.
"Fuck it!" Both Damien and Kira hissed in complete embarrassment.
