Damien could not believe his eyes. The fact Kira had dared to step into his territory made him both furious and curious. What exactly could have brought her all the way here knowing the danger she is actually putting herself in? He wondered to himself.
"I must admit that really did amaze me by coming all the way here by yourself. Do you really have a death wish or something?" He asked with curious eyes as he moved closer and closer to where she stood.
The man who had brought Kira in had already left as soon as her presence was announced and Draco had decided against staying too close to them but he was definitely not losing his guard.
Kira seemed to be unfazed by Damien's attempt to intimidate her. Her hands were still tied with the rope but strangely, she wasn't even bothered by this.
"Don't tell me you are actually thinking of killing her Damien?" Damon, his wolf asked but Damien is quick to shrug him off.
"Give me an answer lady. Do you actually have a fucking death wish?" He hissed, raising his voice slightly.
"If you want to kill me, go ahead and do it but the very least you could do at this moment is welcome your guest properly Alpha Damien." She replied nonchalantly.
Damien scoffed in annoyance. He clenched both his fist as he stared back at her with a questioning look. The audacity she has to boldly ask him for hospitality, he thought to himself.
Draco now sensing the tension from the other side of the court, walked back to where he stood previously. He stared back at the both of them, waiting patiently to see what would happen next. Although he hated the Redmoon pack, something about Kira's presence definitely intrigued him.
It was rare to see someone challenge Damien and although she hadn't even done much, it still amazed him.
Damien smirked. "You want me to welcome you, you say? Fine, I will welcome you but only in the afterlife." He growled and in a swift move, he was behind her and he's quick to grab her neck with his hands.
Her eyes widened in shock. She had not seen him move and he was definitely fast. Normally, werewolves weren't that fast unless they were in their wolf form but he wasn't even in his.
"Damien, are you crazy?" Damon yelled furiously at the absurdity of Damien's actions.
"Do you really want to kill her?" He pressed on, wanting desperately to stop the hot-headed Alpha.
"You asked for a proper welcome and you will get one." Damien hissed through gritted teeth and Draco couldn't help but roll his eyes at his dramatic friend.
Kira closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath before opening her eyes and exhaling. "You sure you can kill me? Cause I mean, not to brag or anything but I am not that easy to kill and I hope you know that. Besides, what would people think when they come to find out you killed your mate just because you couldn't stand the fact that she stood up to you?" She blurted out nonchalantly.
Damien frowned, somehow she knew how to get under his skin and he hated her even more for that.
Still not letting his hand go from her neck, he replied. "Don't be so silly, you dummy. Everyone is well aware that we hate each other's gut very much and I doubt it would actually surprise them that I ended up killing you especially since you are an intruder in my territory and we are enemies." He retorted.
Kira smirked. "Well if you kill me, would that make your victory meritorious?" She asked sarcastically.
"Of course it won't cause as it stands, I came to you willingly and you used that to your advantage without a proper and fair fight which makes you a fucking coward." She retorted and he frowned.
He felt the need to tighten his hold on her neck but instead, he let go of her pushing her away aggressively.
"You sure do have replies for everything." He scoffed.
"Well, I am a spitfire and I'm not one to back down easily." She replied with a smile that made Damien glare at her.
A lopsided grin formed on Draco's face. He must say Kira did have something in her that he hadn't seen in another and he was definitely eager to see more of their duo.
"You think way too highly of yourself and if I were you, I wouldn't do that."Damien said walking around Kira in circles.
"Firstly compared to me, you are actually weak, small and dumb." He spat out and Kira frowned.
"I believe that should be the other way around cause you my dear are big for nothing and you tend to use deceptive and simple minded techniques to boast about your stupid strength." She retorted and Damien fumed.
"Enough!" He shuns her furiously.
"You are in my territory you psycho and over here, whatever I say is the only thing that matters, you get that?" He said firmly and sternly.
"Untie my hands." She demanded.
"No. You walked in here on your own two feet and I will use that to my advantage and lock you in prison. How wonderful would it be for your pack members to find out that their Alpha has been held captive." He said with amusement laced on his tone.
Kira smirked, "I expected much but I see you are just all about the hype. Absolutely nothing special about you." She hissed.
"Meaning?" He inquired.
"It's as simple as I stated, boy. I came here willingly and because of your inability to act rationally, you haven't even asked me what it is that brought me here. Instead, all you've been yapping about is killing me like you can actually dare." She snapped back at me.
"You know it's actually pretty sad especially since you are supposedly one of the most feared Alpha who I actually thought was as dominating and as intelligent as I've heard. Unfortunately though, it's all just rumors and you are quite dense!" She spat out venomously and Damien could not believe his ears.
He suddenly felt foolish and insulted. She had come to his territory and instead of controlling her tongue, she kept spitting out words that annoyed him more and more.
Draco, on the other hand, was amazed. Although he shouldn't be amazed he could help it. She was quite young yet sounded so mature for her age.
"Pardon his irrationality Alpha Kira. What brings you here?" Draco interjected, walking closer to Kira.
"Draco, you don't need to ask her what brings her here cause I don't care. I'll end up killing her myself anyways and end this stupid fate I have with her once and for all." Damien spat out and Kira could not help but roll her eyes.
"You might want to sit back and listen boy. Firstly, I have not come here to pick a fight with you and believe me when I say, I don't like you so stop being so noisy." She hissed.
"I don't like you either!" He retorted.
"The feeling is mutual you hot headed wolf!" She snapped childishly.
Her words infuriated him and in a nanosecond, his hands were on her neck again, holding them tight compared to before and she choked.
"Damien, you might want to cool your temper a little bit. This tantrum of yours is getting embarrassing." Damon drawled boredly.
"I see...you are quite temperamental." Kira said, still struggling to free herself from his grip. She didn't want to lose her cool by starting a fight that she knew she couldn't win.
"You still have the guts to actually talk? The audacity!" Damien spat out.
"You should be grateful my hands are tied or you would hate the things I would have done to you!" She glared at him.
She had been tolerating him but at this point, she won't take it if he isn't going to be sensible anytime soon. It's not like she had even come because she was a fan of his and yet he still doesn't want to listen to her.
Damien felt insulted and in an instance, he loosen the rope on her hands with one of his hands.
"Let's fight here once and for all and end it." He declared.
Kira mentally scoffed at the big baby in front of her. She knew for a fact that she didn't come here to fight and she knew very well what her aim was and his silly tantrums won't infuriate her to the point where she'd lose her cool and actually go physical with him.
She knew it would take a long while to get on good terms with Damien but for the safety of her kind, she's willing to swallow her pride, deal with the insults and the bullying and try her very best to get on his good side.
"You seem to get riled up way too easily Damien. Do you think fighting me would prove that you're really stronger or better than me? Is your ego so big that you can't deal with a simple confrontation without becoming a bully?" Kira scoffed. She walked past him and went to sit down on one of the available seats she could find. She crossed her legs across the other and she rested her back into the chair, enjoying the comfort of her legs finally being able to rest.
Damien felt insulted yet again. How dare she come into his court and make herself comfortable like she belonged here?
"I see you are quite bold for a girl your age." He said and at this point, Kira was completely tired of having to reply to his narcissistic comments.
"I see you are quite rash for a man of your position. Beats me how you even deserve it when you can't even think straight." She retorted.
"Nice comeback!" Draco commented all of a sudden in amusement, making Damien turn his attention towards him with a frown.
"Shut up draco!" He said through gritted teeth.
Damien sighed. He of all people should not be surprised by Damien's attitude but he couldn't help but feel embarrassed on his behalf.
"What really brings you here, Alpha Kira?" Damien finally asks as he was also getting sick and tired of going back and forth with her.
"Oh, so you're finally ready to have a proper conversation with me after your little show of shame? Well, isn't that just great my dear mate." She teased with a sly smile.
"Just get straight to the fucking point and don't you ever dare call me your mate cause that is just bullshit!" He warned, she chuckled.
"So what if I don't want to and besides, drop the pretence cause at the end of the day, you are my mate and no matter how disgusting and repulsive it sounds, it is the absolute truth." She teased him even more while batting her eyelashes at him, with a playful smile tugging on her lips. She couldn't deny the fact that his stupidity was actually very hilarious.
"Are you talking or should I just throw you the fuck out?" Damien hissed impatiently, not comfortable with the fact that she was looking this relaxed.
"I apologize mate, my bad. Anyways, the reason I am here is actually simple and you may think it's too weird and too sudden but trust me, I do not have any dirty, ulterior motive so whatever I say, you better not raise your voice at me." She warned in advance and Draco let out a short laugh as the expression on Damien's face was beyond priceless.
"Can you just talk already? You're starting to really irritate me!" Damien hissed tiredly.
"Starting? I thought you were already irritated a long time ago? You know what, scratch that. The reason I am here today is simply Alpha Damien. The truth is, I want you and I to partner up for a short while and investigate what really happened between our packs and why there has been so much bloodshed for such a long time." She blurted out confidently and Damien immediately frowned.
