Sheila furiously threw everything and anything that she could find at the wall, not caring whether or not she called attention to herself.
She felt so outraged after she heard about Kira's visitation. She was so mad at Damien for not stopping Kira from walking into their pack and for allowing her actually to settle in. How dare he welcome her and even give her a room in his home?
Was he trying to replace her now thinking he had no other choice? She thought to herself, hoping her thoughts were nothing but false.
Her insecurities started to make her try to imagine how Kira would even look like. She hated the fact that she felt this way about someone she hadn't even met but there's one thing she was sure of, it's that she wasn't going to let anyone take her place in Damien's life, especially not an outsider from a horrible pack like the Redmoon pack.
Her thoughts started to mess with her and she could only think of how she could get rid of Kira so her presence wouldn't end up ruining her plans..
She heard a knock on her door and she immediately screamed.
"Go away! I already said I don't want to speak to anyone." She yelled furiously.
"Sheila, it's me, open up." Damien spoke from behind the door and Sheila's anger escalated immediately she heard his voice. She was angry with him and he was well aware of that but he came knowing fully well that she didn't want to see him nor speak to him.
"Get far away from me you traitor!" She spat out.
Damien felt a sharp pain in his heart as he could sense the hurt in Sheila's voice and if there's anything he could not stand, it was to hurt Sheila's feelings in any way.
"Babe, please can we talk?" he pleaded.
"My answer remains the same Damien! I don't want to see the face of the man who couldn't keep his word to me." She hissed a reply.
"Please open the door Sheila or I'll break it down." He threatened calmly, knowing very well that his words held power and he would surely be breaking down the door if she didn't open up herself.
"Sheila..." Before he could speak, she had gone to the door and opened it with a frown on her face.
She growled, "Are you here to give excuses for your actions Alpha Damien?" She hissed.
Damien sighed. He walked past her and into her room, making sure not to answer her question and unknowingly irritating her even more than she already was. Kira hated to be ignored.
His eyes stumbled upon the mess in her room and truthfully, he wasn't surprised. Leave it to Sheila to destroy everything and anything when she's upset.
"Are you going to speak to me or what?" She questioned him again with irritation laced in her tone.
"You really need to learn to stay calm sometimes Sheila." He responded calmly. He was already in a difficult situation and she wasn't even helping by throwing tantrums and making things more difficult for him.
At this time, he expects her to be by his side and help him think of a solution to this mess instead of being part of the problem.
"Wow! Just wow!" She said in disbelief.
"I cannot believe you Damien!"
"How the fuck do you expect me to keep calm when my position in your life is being threatened?" She snapped furiously.
"Your position in my life isn't threatened Sheila! It can't and it won't ever be. You know you're what matters most to me." He replied, hoping his words were assuring enough.
She scoffed as she looked away with her arms folded across her chest. "Isn't that what you all say until you end up giving in to the moon goddess and later fall in love with your damn mate!" She snapped.
Damien pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. If everyone was throwing more problems to the many he already had on his plate, he wasn't expecting Sheila to be a part of them.
Sheila could be very irrational and he knew that but right now, he needed her support more than ever but she wasn't trying to help him.
"That is not gonna happen babe." He said firmly.
She scoffed, "Isn't that what they all say tIll it happens? She is your mate Damien and it's inevitable to not be with her unless she dies or something!" She exclaimed.
Damien was taken aback after her last statement. Maybe she had a reason to doubt him but she should understand that he can't change it.
"Just so you know, I do not like her and I want nothing to do with her which is why I am thinking of every possible means to get her out of my life." Damien said.
Sheila smiled at him and he could tell the smile on her face wasn't a genuine smile. She was faking it cause she obviously had something to say and he was sure it was nothing good but he still decided to ask anyway.
"You smile isn't the sincere one babe. Do you have something to say?" He asked with his brows furrowed.
She shrugged. "I don't know if I should say this but since you are looking for every possible means to not have to be her mate, it is possible that I have an idea, I mean..." She trailed off shrugging.
"Sheila, I'm listening." He said to her.
"Okay. You don't like her and you do not want her as your mate so...I thought maybe we should kill her and boom, she's no longer your mate!" She suggested and Damien deadpanned.
"Are you insane Sheila? Do you want to start an all out war?" Damien asked in an irritated tone. He expected a better idea from her, anything that doesn't have to do with them killing his mate.
As much as he hates and wanted nothing to do with Kira, she was now his mate and killing her would be a very terrible decision which could actually ruin him and mess up Damon, his wolf.
Killing her before wouldn't have been an issue if only he hadn't found out she was his mate but now that he knew, he just couldn't.
Sheila rolled her eyes at him. "You are unbelievable!"
"How else do you plan to get rid of her if not by killing her? Or perhaps, just as I thought, you would be giving into the moon goddess's wish, right?" She asked with raised brows.
She knew deep down that there's a high chance that he'd end up with his mate and she knew it was going to be way too hard for her to let him go. She couldn't even imagine letting him go.
Damien groaned in frustration. He moved towards where he could rest his head as he felt a sharp pain in his head.
"Anything else Sheila, anything else that doesn't have to involve us killing her or hurting her." Damien said, trying to reason with her.
Sheila hissed, "You have got to be kidding me Damien. There is nothing we can do if you don't kill her. I do not like her and you don't too so what's stopping you? Why don't you want to hurt her?" She asked and suddenly, her eyes got teary.
"Fine then," she said with a sigh, fighting back the tears that threatened to fall.
"Go ahead and be with her. It's obvious you want her and you have been faking hating her for years since you're suddenly so protective of her." She drawled childishly.
Damien exhaled deeply. "Sheila, now is really not the time for this."
"And when exactly is it the time for it?" She exclaimed.
"I hate her and I do not want her around you, send her away or I'll leave." She threatened.
Damien kept quiet not because he wanted to but because he had nothing else to say. He wanted to know why the moon goddess had decided to punish him this way and to make matters even worse, Kira herself was a pain in the ass.
He never expected her to come to him and the theories she came up with about the war between the two packs being manipulated really baffled him.
Just a week ago, things were going just fine and he was doing just fine with Sheila and now nothing seemed to be under his control.
It felt like his hands were tied cause typical him would have done something to avoid all this drama but right now, he didn't even know where to start.
"You know what Sheila, we'll talk later." Damien tells her.
He was tired of the back and forth he was having with her at the moment and would come back to her when she was ready to stay calm and be reasonable. He already had enough on his plate.
First, he needed to find a way to get rid of Kira or at least, get her away from his pack as soon as possible.
"Of course you'd leave! I guess now that you have a mate, I am officially irrelevant." She nagged.
Damien stopped in his tracks for a while as he listened to her complain about his inability to keep his promise and he couldn't bring himself to bother giving her further explanations.
He turned his head slightly to look at her and he noticed the frown on her face. He sighed, shook his head in disappointment before leaving the room.
As soon as the door to her room closed, Sheila growled in anger before continuing to throw things around furiously.
