It was a dark night and the full moon was shining brightly in the sky. Kira walked into the forest without knowing where she was headed to or what she was going to do.
All of a sudden, the weather changed drastically. The trees danced in the direction of the wind and a loud whistle could be heard from miles away. This made her ears flare up as she tried to pick the direction the whistling was coming from.
As she walked deeper, everywhere got covered in mist making it impossible for her to fathom anything. As she tried to penetrate through the mist and see what was happening, she hit her left foot hard on what felt like a huge rock and fell down to ground whilst wincing in pain.
She took a quick look at the foot she had hit and realized there was no severe injury inflicted other than the sharp pain. When she raised her head back up, the mist was suddenly gone but what she could now see in front of her was the dead bodies of several of her kind with blood still pouring out of a few of them.
Her eyes widened in shock and her heart began to beat violently.
"W...what the hell is happening?" She wondered to herself before getting up hurriedly and running towards the dead bodies.
"WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING!" She yelled in frustration as she looked around to spot what may have attacked them but after looking around and observing the bodies, she could neither find anything that could possibly cause such a mass murder nor find any sign that a werewolf of their kind could have actually done something this horrendous. It looked way too unreal and brutal to be done by a mere werewolf no matter how strong it is.
"Is anybody here?" She yelled furiously, wanting to see the evil face behind such chaos. She looked around hoping the cowards would at least show themselves to her but instead her eyes landed on a huge tree a few feets away from her and written on it were the words, 'They are already here."
Kira woke up from her dream in the middle of the night whilst panting heavily. Beads of sweats formed on her forehead as she tried really hard to catch her breath. Kira wasn't one to dream very often and it surprised her to think that she could actually dream for this long and wake up with such messed up emotions. The worst part of everything was the fact that the dream felt so graphic and real to the point where it almost felt like reality.
She bolted out of bed and went towards the center table where the jug of water was placed. She poured some water into a cup and drank it in a hurry to calm herself and regain her normal breathing pace.
"They are already here..." She muttered to herself as she wondered who exactly these people were.
"Could it be the creatures cursed by the sun?" She wondered to herself and fear slowly started to creep into her mind.
"No, no, no. That can't be. It's too soon for this." She said to herself, hoping and praying that it wasn't true cause she definitely wasn't ready to deal with anything at the moment.

Three of the men at the border of the silvermoon pack rushed into the headquarters with dead bodies on their backs. Everybody wondered what could have happened and how the men had gotten killed.
Damine had been informed that his presence was needed in urgency. When he arrived, he saw the three bodies of his men and not just any of his men but his childhood friends, Corey, Micheal and Jason, that he attended the same academy with.
"What the hell happened to them?" He asked shakily as he moved closer to inspect their dead bodies.
"We have no idea Alpha Damien. We found their bodies lying around and it seems as though they were attacked Sir." Silas explained.
Silas was the strongest wolf at the border and he also happened to be the captain in charge.
"Do you have any idea where they were headed and what made them leave their positions?" Damien asked.
"We had heard strange noises Sir and l I told them to go check out what it could be but then after a while they hadn't come back so I went out to find them and that was when I saw their bodies lying around." Silas explained.
"So what then? Who do you suspect did this?" He asked.
"I can't say for sure sir but judging by how sudden it all went down and by the word on the street, I believe they were attacked by the Redmoon pack." Dylan chimed in.
The entire room got silent after Dylan's accusation. Damien would have doubted it if he wasn't already suspicious of Kira but if he were to be honest with himself, the injuries and marks on their bodies didn't look like marks that werewolves would leave behind.
It seemed as though they had shifted at first but after they got attacked, they shifted back to their human form. If truly they were killed by wolves, there would be traces of scratches and claw marks all over their bodies but none of them had any of that on them but then again, there was still no proof to counter the fact that it wasn't a wolf that had killed them.
"I see." Damien muttered in a low tone.
"Sir, it seems like the Redmoon pack are desperately calling for war and at the end of the day, we will have to give it to them." Dylan spat out furiously.
The likes of Dylan have always looked out for excuses to go on an all out war with their rival pack.
Their hatred for the Redmoon pack was at it's peak already and they believed that nothing could change their perception about them.
Damien sighed. As much as he would love to drag the issue and jump into conclusions, he knew he just couldn't as Kira was here in their pack and to make matters worse, he still had to consider the fact that she was his mate.
"You may bury their corpses and give them a proper farewell" He said to them.
All he could think of at that moment was leaving so he would speak with Draco and invite Kira for questioning.
At least, this was excuse enough to hold Kira down. She had come here on her own, acting like she actually wanted peace and settlement when in reality, she's only letting her pack members do as they pleased. 'The audacity she had.' He thought to himself.
As soon as his men left, Draco moved closer to him. "Why do I have a feeling something weird happened?" Draco said and he hissed.
"It's nothing weird, Draco. It was her plan all along. She had it all figured out and came here to make it look like she is unaware of their stupid trap." He said through gritted teeth as he clenched his fist.
"What plan are you talking about? You mean you really think the Redmoon pack is behind this?" Draco asked.
"Yes, of course I believe." Damien replied firmly.
"Tsk tsk tsk," Draco clicked his tongue. "You have got to be kidding me Damien. You do realise that they could have been attacked by rogue wolves and besides Damien, we both know that if the red moon pack really did it, we won't not be hearing the last of it cause they don't enjoy being sneaky." Draco defended.
Although Draco hated them, there was no denying the fact that the death of his people most probably had nothing to do with the Red Moon pack.
"Are you really defending them, Draco?" Damien hissed.
"I am not defending them Damien, I'm only being reasonable here." Draco replied with an eye roll.
"Okay then. Let's invite Kira and confirm all of this. I want her to come and explain herself." He orders and Draco immediately instructs someone to go and get her.
Minutes later, Kira stood in front of Damien, wondering why in the world he'd even call for her so suddenly.
Normally when Damien summoned someone, they are not expected to sit but to stand before him until he instructed otherwise but Kira wasn't willing to be one of them as she immediately made herself comfortable in one of the chairs in the room.
She crossed her legs against the other. "What is it you want?" She asked.
Damien mentally cringed at her attitude. He couldn't hide his hate for her attitude and how she spoke to him. Whenever he looked at her, all he could think of her was that she was a pretender and a mischievous person with an innocent looking face.
"You claim you want peace but I guess your people don't agree with you since they're going around killing my men." He hissed at her snappily.
Kira was taken aback by his words. She found it unbelievable cause as far as she knew, her pack members had already accepted her as their Alpha and supported her decision to reclaim the peace for both packs so why would they go behind her back and kill? She thought to herself.
The skin between her brows creased as she tried figuring out what could have made them do what they did, if they indeed were responsible.
"Why so quiet Alpha Kira? Cat got your tongue? Are you surprised that your game is actually up and now I have a reason to actually kill you?" He asked, unsurprisingly getting on Kira's nerves.
Kira sighed. "You never cease to amaze with your idiocy Damien but anyways, can I see the corpse of the supposed men we murdered? Cause I for one find your accusations very hard to believe cause I am certain that my people will not do something as foolish as killing your men when I'm right under your nose." She defended, although at the back of her mind, she feared they may actually be right about their accusation.
Her aunt had promised to make sure things do go out of control in her absence and there was no way her people would have snuck in here and killed people without her aunt finding out from the border security.
Damien scoffed. "You're annoying..." He slammed his hands on his armrest in anger as he didn't even know what to say to her.
"Are you saying they are not behind it? I mean, let's be reasonable here, which other wolf would want to harm my people if not your people and besides, we all know your people are too much of hotheads and they love to cause chaos." He replied and Kira could not help but be irritated.
Whenever Kira listened to Damien speak, the only thing that pops in her head is how immature and stupid he really is. She couldn't say for sure whether or not he only acted this way towards her because of their differences or if he was this much of an irritant to everyone else.
She pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration before replying. "Like I just said, let me see the corpses to confirm your accusation. My people and I are trained specially so I would know if they really are the culprits." She replied calmly, trying not to lose her cool and stoop to his level.
"Fine! As you wish." He responded..
"Draco, tell our men to hold off the funeral and bring in the corpses." He instructs and Draco immediately excuses himself. He couldn't be more happy to be away from those two.
A few minutes later, the bodies were arranged before Kira. She was nervous as she had no idea how she would deal with the situation if indeed her pack had gone against her instructions and attacked the Silvermoon pack.
Once she stood in front of the corpses, she took in a deep breath before squatting down to analyse the bodies and how they were killed.
Sighing in relief, she gets up on her knees and turns to face Damien.
"I can boldly counter your accusations and argue that my people did not hand in their deaths and you know the worst part or should I say the best part? These men were not murdered by werewolves."
