Chapter 9 - I WANT HIM... TO BE MY PET

It could be said that it was just her instincts, and it could also be said that her instincts were not always accurate. However, somehow she could be certain that the kidnapper wasn't one of her obsessed fans from the way the man had held her body earlier.

Obsessed fans usually tried to get a chance to touch their idol's body, and such behavior would lead to harassment. However, the man who had tried to kidnap her had not done so before. Instead, he just held her by the shoulders properly, which was why Evie assumed he wasn't one of her perverted fans.

Therefore, she was more than eighty percent certain that the man had not kidnapped her to abuse her body or do other inappropriate things to her, and she was also sure that the man had not kidnapped her for money either. He drove a luxury car, and even though it might have happened if he had just rented the car, Evie somehow doubted the possibility.

'Why would a kidnapper rent a luxury car to kidnap someone? The car itself would draw attention, right?' She thought to herself.

Car-related issues certainly required further investigation, but Evie was quite satisfied with the analysis and was now waiting for Simon's response. Will Simon disobey her again this time?

"I understand, My Lady," Simon seemed to be listening quite well this time. "I'll take care of the kidnapping-related matter, but what about the fan meeting, My Lady? You're fifteen minutes late now, and I don't know how to explain that to your fans. Maybe they're even worried about you."

"Fifteen minutes is nothing," replied the celebrity. "Now help me get up and drag me to the venue. I will try to find an excuse for my fans. It's not good to keep them waiting any longer, right?"

Evie was like a child stretched out her hands towards her manager, and she even asked the old man to pick her up. Even Simon felt nostalgia when he saw his master like this. After all, he had been by Evie's side ever since she was born into the world, and that was why sights like this were normal for him when his master was still a child.

Even if Simon was scolded many times today, he still smiled warmly before helping the actress get up. Actually, for some reason, he felt ridiculous when the superstar even asked to be dragged to the venue. He knew that his master was a woman of great pride, and she was also quite arrogant. So, it must have hurt her pride when she even asked to be dragged away, right?

But Simon still obeyed the order. Carefully holding Evie by the shoulders, he helped her walk. Simon was much older than Evie, but he was slightly shorter than the woman even though she was only wearing a pair of sandals at the moment.

Ah, that's right. Evie was lucky her sandals didn't come off when she was dragged away by the kidnapper earlier, and that's why she didn't have to worry about getting her feet dirty while Simon helped her walk.

It might not be true to say that Simon was helping her walk because the old man was practically using all of his strength to drag her body, but Evie didn't really care about that.

"You know that, don't you?" Suddenly, Evie asked a question, but the question sounded vague enough to Simon's ears.

"What are you talking about, My Lady?" Simon confusedly asked back while continuing to help the woman move her body.

"I'm talking about the werewolf. You know about that, right?" Evie explained her question, and she could see how Simon's face tightened after hearing her query.

It wasn't just the pair of blue eyes that made her think that the young man who had saved her earlier was indeed a werewolf. Even if she was under the influence of some unknown drug, she could still somehow feel the faint aura of the werewolf, and that was why she believed that Simon, who was not under the effect of the drug, should be able to sense the aura too.

After all, werewolves and vampires could detect each other's aura as long as they were close enough to one another. It had been in their nature for years, and that was why Evie had confidence in her opinion.

Even Simon's silence was more than enough to answer her question, and Evie spoke again, "So, he's the crazy werewolf? He's the only werewolf left in this town, but he's so crazy you don't want me to know about him because that would be dangerous for me, right?"

"..." Simon still didn't answer, but when Evie glanced at the old man, she could see a trace of worry on his wrinkled face.

Smiling to herself, Evie continued, "I can see that he is indeed crazy, Simon. You are not mistaken."

Suddenly, Simon stopped in his tracks, causing Evie to stop as well. "What did that man do to you, My Lady? I only saw how he was beating the kidnapper from afar, so I let him go earlier, thinking that he had done nothing but help you get away from the kidnapper. I didn't expect he would do anything else to you, My Lady."

This time, Evie glared at her manager and said, "You're right. That werewolf only helped me escape from the kidnapper, and that's why you need to stop calling him crazy or anything, Simon. Even if he's scary enough, I don't think he's a bad person. After all, he's the one who saved me from the kidnapper."

Hearing his master's words, Simon didn't look pleased as he replied, "You know he's scary, don't you, My Lady? That's why you can't—"

"I want him, Simon!" Evie mercilessly interrupted her manager as she looked the old man in the eye. "I want him to be my blood bag, I want him to help me get rid of the wrinkles on my face, and I want him to be... my pet! I'll get him no matter what!"
